Ein Denkanstoß zum Abschied: Warum Opensimworld für mich keine Basis mehr bietet
Nach reiflicher Überlegung habe ich mich entschlossen, meine Präsenz auf Opensimworld zu beenden und meine Regionen von dieser Plattform abzuziehen. Dies ist keine Kurzschlussreaktion, sondern das Ergebnis einer Analyse von Zuständen, die ich nicht länger durch meine bloße Anwesenheit unterstützen möchte.

Ich schreibe diese Zeilen nicht, um den Betreiber zu einer Stellungnahme zu bewegen – dafür gab es in der Vergangenheit genug unbeantwortete Gelegenheiten. Ich schreibe dies als Denkanstoß für euch, die Community.

Die Fassade des Rankings
Hinter den Kulissen dieser Plattform herrscht eine massive Schieflage bei der Durchsetzung der eigenen Regeln:

Selektive Gerechtigkeit: Während meine Regionen wegen technischer Hilfsmittel (Corrade) konsequent aus dem Ranking entfernt wurden, verbleiben andere Akteure ungestört im Listing, obwohl sie nachweislich mit massenhaften Fake-Avataren und alternativen Viewern arbeiten, um ihre Popularität künstlich aufzublähen.

Waffe „Reporting“: Es gibt Hinweise aus der Community, dass das Meldesystem gezielt missbraucht wird, um unliebsame Konkurrenten auszuschalten und den eigenen Rang durch strategische Denunziation zu sichern. Ein System, das solche Manipulationen deckt oder ignoriert, ist als neutrales Verzeichnis wertlos.

Duldung von Extremismus: Ein Portal, das rechtsradikale Bilder und Beiträge trotz Hinweisen im Raum stehen lässt, verlässt den Boden eines respektvollen Miteinanders.

Ignoranz als Prinzip: Konstruktive Kritik – insbesondere wenn sie aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum kommt – versickert hier ungehört. Eine Plattform, die ganze Nutzergruppen durch Schweigen diskreditiert, hat keinen Anspruch auf die Position als „erste Wahl“.

Warum ich gehe
Ich möchte Teil eines Metaverses sein, das auf Transparenz, Fairness und Respekt basiert. Wenn eine Plattform zur Bühne für Manipulatoren wird und Moderation nach Sympathie statt nach Fakten erfolgt, ist sie für ehrliche Content-Ersteller und Regionen-Betreiber der falsche Ort.

Ich habe für mich die Entscheidung getroffen, meine Energie nicht länger in ein System zu stecken, das mich und meine Arbeit ungleich behandelt. Stattdessen werde ich meine Ressourcen nutzen, um eine eigene, faire Alternative aufzubauen – ein Projekt, in dem Regeln für alle gleichermaßen gelten und in dem kein Platz für Extremismus oder manipulative „Ranking-Mafia“ ist.

Ein Wort an euch
Ich möchte niemanden aktiv abwerben. Aber ich möchte euch bitten, einmal genauer hinzusehen:

Entspricht das Ranking, das ihr täglich seht, der Realität oder ist es das Ergebnis technischer Manipulation?

Wollt ihr eure Zeit und euren Content auf einer Plattform hosten, die bei Hassrede und Diskriminierung wegsieht?

Jeder Nutzer entscheidet durch seine Anwesenheit, welche Systeme er legitimiert. Ich ziehe hiermit meine Legitimation für Opensimworld zurück.

Liebe Freunde der Kunst und Kultur, liebe OpenSim-Freunde,
in diesem Jahr feiern wir das Pangea Kunst- und Kulturfestival bereits zum fünften Mal – und eröffnen es in Köln. Das hat einen ganz besonderen Grund: 20 Jahre virtuelles Köln. Aus diesem Anlass wird Köln in diesem Jahr zur lebendigen Bühne der Kunst. Das Opening startet am 24.04.2026 um 11 AM SLT / 20 Uhr – mit unserem DJ Marlon Wayne, der den Auftakt musikalisch begleitet. Auf der Kölner Domplatte präsentieren sich nicht nur Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit ihren aktuellen Projekten. Anders als in den vergangenen Jahren geben in diesem Jahr auch die kreativen Köpfe des Pangea Grids sowie aus anderen OpenSim-Grids Einblicke in ihre Projekte, Sims und Ideenwelten – denn dieses Festival lebt von Vielfalt und dem gemeinsamen Gestalten. Die Pavillons und Ausstellungen sind dabei nicht nur Momentaufnahmen, sondern Ausgangspunkte für weiterführende Projekte, neue Sims und künstlerische Entwicklungen. Dafür danken wir von Herzen für so viel Kreativität. Zu den diesjährigen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern zählen unter anderem Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem und Nyx Breen, die ihre Arbeiten im Laufe des Jahres in entstehenden oder sich weiterentwickelnden Sims präsentieren. Ebenso freuen wir uns auf Künstlerinnen und Künstler sowie Kunstschaffende wie ArtBlue, Tryad Destiny, Loru Destiny, Juliette SurrealDreaming, Rage Darkstone, Kimm Starr, Ansjela Amat, Serafina Bollettie, Lampithaler Artist und Reyno Parx sowie viele weitere, die eindrucksvolle Einblicke in ihr künstlerisches Schaffen geben. Einige von ihnen entwickeln ihre Arbeiten weiter und sind bereits Teil der Perspektive für das Pangea Festival 2027. Besonders ehren wir Cleopata Rayal, die mit 88 Jahren mit ihren selbstgemalten Bildern und ihrer Lyrik einen besonderen Platz in einer der Art-Galerien in Köln einnimmt und dort ihre Werke präsentiert. Ein besonderer Moment des Innehaltens ist unserem Gedenkpavillon gewidmet. Dort erinnern wir an Künstler und Wegbegleiter, die nicht mehr unter uns sind: Torbens Asp, Veritas McMaster, Mal Burns, Luna Lunaria und Mimi Reich. Ihr Wirken bleibt Teil dieses Festivals. Zur kreativen Vielfalt zählen für uns auch die Erbauer der Karnevalswagen. Ihnen sowie allen beteiligten Grids und Buildern gilt unser besonderer Dank. So erwartet euch in diesem Jahr ein weiteres Highlight im November: Am 11.11., dem traditionellen Beginn der Karnevalssession, feiern wir eine besondere Karnevalseröffnung im Pangea Grid – ein Event, auf das wir uns schon jetzt freuen dürfen. Unser Dank gilt ebenso allen DJs und DJanes, Musikern sowie den vielen Menschen im Hintergrund, die mit ihrem technischen Support das Pangea Grid – und damit dieses Festival der Kunst und Kultur – überhaupt möglich machen. Ebenso bedanken wir uns herzlich bei der HG Safari und allen weiteren Unterstützern und Wegbegleitern. Im Laufe des Jahres erwarten euch nicht nur neue Eröffnungen beeindruckender Kreativsims sowie Kunst- und Informationsausstellungen in Köln, sondern auch zahlreiche Veranstaltungen, mit denen wir die teilnehmenden Künstlerinnen und Künstler ehren und ihre Werke lebendig werden lassen. Wir freuen uns auf ein Jahr voller Kunst, Begegnungen und gemeinsamer Momente – und auf euren Besuch.

Dear friends of art and culture, dear OpenSim friends,
this year we celebrate the Pangea Art and Culture Festival for the fifth time – and we are opening it in Cologne. There is a very special reason for this: 20 years of virtual Cologne. For this occasion, Cologne becomes a vibrant stage for art throughout the year. The opening will take place on April 24, 2026 at 11 AM SLT / 8 PM CET, featuring our DJ Marlon Wayne, who will musically accompany the start of the festival. On Cologne’s Domplatte, not only artists present their current projects. Unlike previous years, the creative minds of the Pangea Grid as well as other OpenSim grids will also offer insights into their projects, sims, and creative worlds – because this festival thrives on diversity and collaborative creation. The pavilions and exhibitions are not just snapshots, but starting points for ongoing projects, new sims, and artistic developments. For this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such incredible creativity. Among the artists presenting larger-scale projects this year are Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem, and Nyx Breen, who will showcase their work over the course of the year in evolving or newly created sims. We are also delighted to feature contributions from ArtBlue, Tryad Destiny, Loru Destiny, Juliette SurrealDreaming, Rage Darkstone, Kimm Starr, Ansjela Amat, Serafina Bollettie, Lampithaler Artist and Reyno Parx, as well as many others, who offer inspiring insights into their artistic work. Some of them continue to develop their work and are already part of the perspective for the Pangea Festival 2027. Creative diversity also includes the builders of the carnival floats, to whom we extend our special thanks, along with all participating grids and builders. Another highlight awaits us in November: on November 11th, the traditional start of the carnival season, we will celebrate a special carnival opening in the Pangea Grid – an event we are already looking forward to. Our sincere thanks also go to all DJs, DJanes, musicians, and the many people working behind the scenes whose technical support makes the Pangea Grid – and thus this festival of art and culture – possible.
