Has anyone experienced anything strange with their grids lately? A friend, (honestly not me), thinks that perhaps a worm is travelling through different grids causing the database to lose connectivity with the asset server files. (That's what he said). Apparently osgrid, digiworldz, barefoot grid, and some dreamgrids have been mysteriously affected by this supposed worm. Anyone out there have any information? Maybe it has happened to you? Maybe you know what it is and it is something else?

I have fallen far behind in my care and feeding of the now robust What Are You Looking For group. I'm making up for that by posting to the front page a list of our recent helpers that I would usually post in the group. My point in doing this is to let people know that their help will be acknowledged. I'm several months behind in doing this, so, for now, this is a list of our helpers in the past 2 months. I've also included info about them. If it's about their region, I've provided a region address. Go visit and know that they are nice people. If it's info about their interests and such, you might seek them out if you have a mutual interest, or use it as a conversation starter if you see them at an event. You will recognize them as they have avatars that look like the people in that charming picture of helpers. (Or maybe not. Ya, probably not.) I just caught up with the craziness about Lone stealing a floor from Marianna. Looks like she saw my post yesterday about our first monthly social with a picture of my Lotus Club on Luxor. it has a big circular dance floor with a blue arcane texture. I guess she assumed Lone stole that idea the day before yesterday's event and added to his Social region (which doesn't exist). That picture was from my Gala 6 months ago at the Lotus Club and which I built on Luxor a year ago. I have that same exact texture on one of my hypergates at Luxor. I have used that texture for years. I love arcane textures, especially on floors and ceilings - I have them on a floor in Castle Ceridwen and in my main store in the Magic and Mysteries room.

Looking for a New Owner for Coopersville – A 64-Sim-Sized Community in Kitely
Greetings!
I'm looking for a new owner for Coopersville in Kitely — an Edwardian-themed community that spans a 64-sim-sized region. I’m shifting my focus toward updating and adding to my Four Winds store. There are only so many things I can give proper attention to. Coopersville deserves someone who can be a more active community owner and leader.
I plan to give it until the end of April to find someone to take over ownership. The new owner would take over on April 30th, 2025 including the monthly payment.
The monthly cost of $89.95 USD would be grandfathered in. The 64-sim-sized region has 150,000 prims and can support up to 80 avatars. It is not currently an "always-on" region, but that option is available should the new owner choose to upgrade.
All of the content that is currently on the region would remain there and would remain the property of the original owners. I won't delete anything but I would retain ownership of the buildings and landscaping because it's too difficult to change ownership with permissions and all. The new owner could continue using them indefinitely until or if they wish to replace them. I will give the new owner copies of all of the buildings that I created that are displayed in Coopersville with the exception of the content on the center Four Winds area which will be deleted.
On the north side of the region are 14 256x256 islands, all but 3 currently have renters. These islands rent for $5.00 USD per month or $1000 KC. I hope the new owner would continue offering island rentals for the sake of the current residents, but that’s completely up to them.
There are also 13 free homes around the perimeter of the main continent (in the southwest area of the region). All but one are currently occupied, and those homes are presently free for the residents — again, the new owner can decide how they want to handle that.
There is a large downtown area on the main continent. It has 19 shops that are currently free to the merchants occupying them. A 20th shop is by the ocean. The new owner can decide if they want to continue this.
Coopersville, although Edwardian themed, is not currently a roleplay region. The new owner could easily change it to roleplay. There are areas that are perfect for events too.

Dear Everyone... After endless battles with windows 10. The bizarre server crashes, the triplicate items in my oars... I'm going to linux. Let me explain why, today my server decided the usb ports were no longer needed. So I have no mouse, no keyboard, they don't even work in bios. This system is on a very powerful UPS so I know lightning didn't get it, but on the other hand it was 5 years old. So in messing with it while the keyboard still worked, I tried to fix the mouse but wound up crashing my grid, and then the mother board died leaving me once again friendless with no grid. :( So I did what every opensimian does and ordered a new server. But I think this time I'm going with debian. Hopefully I can find someone that uses debian with opensim to give me some insider information to get it up and running when the new server comes in. But just so you know, I'm down due to mysterious server problems. I have created an account on wolf territories called CyberGlo CyberStar, you can friend me there and I will probably never lose your friendship. Sorry for the troubles. CC

I recently listed the shops that were recommended in the What Are You Looking For group in the past six months as a way to encourage these and other shop owners to join the group and help people find stuff they are looking for.
But here is the list that really matters. If anyone helps people find stuff in the What Are You Looking For group, their help is acknowledged and their regions promoted. There are a few touches by the talented Lilie Finesmith and by Cataplexia Numbers as well. We will start off with a Short Grid Address to open and the Re-Inauguration of our Grid's Mayor, The lovely Taffy Star. After the Inauguration we will celebrate at the main stage with a Live Performance by Mavenn Live & Joao Frazao!

I’m often asked, “What happens to the art when it’s taken down to make room for a new exhibition?” My response has always been that select works from each artist are preserved and moved to another gallery space, becoming part of a permanent exhibition that contributes to OpenSim’s evolving history. Up until now, that was only a vision—a future project in my mind.
I’m thrilled to announce that vision has finally come to life with The Archive Collection. While the name may be straightforward, it leaves no mystery about the treasures inside! 😊
I’ve included some photos—one of them shows me standing in front of the building, to give you a sense of its scale. To enhance your visit, I’ve also added a grand piano I uploaded and added a variety of scripted music that you can play by touching the keys while enjoying the art. There’s even a version of the piano with animation options available at my shop.
As we approach September, those of you with art ready for display are welcome to bring it by the gallery anytime. If you’re not already in the group, please let me know so I can add you to the correct role so you can rez.

Mysteriously... The gate which worked fine last night, didn't work today. Also I found that all the prims and scripts had been changed. (Someone is either a super hacker or a voodoo witch doctor, and im not sure which...) Anyway after being visited by the jealous talentless people once again... I've repaired it to full working order. We will call this version 5. So... here we go...
New! Amazing! Pegasus stargate that actually rotates and dials other sims and grids!!! PLUS this one has a working DHD, the dialer device in front of the gate in the photo that talks to the gate and actually will dial the place for you!!! Looking for a New Owner for Coopersville – A 64-Sim-Sized Community in Kitely
Greetings!
I'm looking for a new owner for Coopersville in Kitely — an Edwardian-themed community that spans a 64-sim-sized region. I’m shifting my focus toward updating and adding to my Four Winds store. There are only so many things I can give proper attention to. Coopersville deserves someone who can be a more active community owner and leader.
I plan to give it until the end of April to find someone to take over ownership. The new owner would take over on April 30th, 2025 including the monthly payment.
The monthly cost of $89.95 USD would be grandfathered in. The 64-sim-sized region has 150,000 prims and can support up to 80 avatars. It is not currently an "always-on" region, but that option is available should the new owner choose to upgrade.
All of the content that is currently on the region would remain there and would remain the property of the original owners. I won't delete anything but I would retain ownership of the buildings and landscaping because it's too difficult to change ownership with permissions and all. The new owner could continue using them indefinitely until or if they wish to replace them. I will give the new owner copies of all of the buildings that I created that are displayed in Coopersville with the exception of the content on the center Four Winds area which will be deleted.
On the north side of the region are 14 256x256 islands, all but 3 currently have renters. These islands rent for $5.00 USD per month or $1000 KC. I hope the new owner would continue offering island rentals for the sake of the current residents, but that’s completely up to them.
There are also 13 free homes around the perimeter of the main continent (in the southwest area of the region). All but one are currently occupied, and those homes are presently free for the residents — again, the new owner can decide how they want to handle that.
There is a large downtown area on the main continent. It has 19 shops that are currently free to the merchants occupying them. A 20th shop is by the ocean. The new owner can decide if they want to continue this.
Coopersville, although Edwardian themed, is not currently a roleplay region. The new owner could easily change it to roleplay. There are areas that are perfect for events too.

Fred took a model with over 800 parts then used Blender modifiers to clean edges, and a script that helped to reduce the level of detail. He made it six layers of over a hundred parts each then stacked it on top of the mountain.
