I am preparing a new region here in GRPG and it is part of The Witcher fandom RP for those who would like to be a part of that fandom here in world. Characters can be your own creation within reason according to The Witcher universe, or you can assume a loosely adapted canon character. This picture is of the hidden cave where the baby dragons are guarded and tended by sprites. Roleplay here can be very fun and adventuresome and need not involve actual physical battle as in some of the online games. Here the role play is done to tell a story and create a world where you become the actor portraying the character on a set created to reflect the story. Homelandz Public Library brings you a very special magazine issue, near and dear to my heart, with their final interview with one of my reptile heroes, before he ultimately lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Anyone interested in reptiles should check it out!

But wait, there's more! We heard your feedback and have upgraded our scripts for the bookshelves. Now for those who couldn't be bothered to read the title or description of each bookshelf to sort out how the shelves are arranged...or click a shelf to see which titles a shelf might hold...now standing close to a shelf will give you some info, shelf name and explain things. There is also now the abbreviated button name, but a confirmation box popup with the FULL title and author, asking you if this is the title you desire. There is a help notecard you can get from the bookshelf menu, and, with the future in mind, each bookshelf has a limit of at least hundreds of titles, however many opensim can store in 1 item safely...compared to the prior limit of 22 titles per shelf. Yay for books, magazines, and knowledge!

Today, especially for you, a short documentation of how I generate images, which can be a bit tricky, but doesn't have to be. Depending on the situation, I sometimes work quite differently.
Top left: the image I had an AI generate according to my specifications.
Next to it, on the right, after image fusion, for which I also have a program on my computer. I then had an AI modify this image again, as shown in the bottom right. The final result, bottom right, after post-processing (color, sharpening, etc.), also with a local program.

Another fine classic coming to you from the Homelandz Public Library...Kidnapped, by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Kidnapped is a historical fiction adventure novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, written as a boys' novel and first published in the magazine Young Folks from May to July 1886. The novel has attracted the praise and admiration of writers as diverse as Henry James, Jorge Luis Borges, and Hilary Mantel. A sequel, Catriona, was published in 1893.

The narrative is written in English with some dialogue in Lowland Scots, a Germanic language that evolved from an earlier incarnation of English.

Kidnapped is set around real 18th-century Scottish events, notably the "Appin Murder" and the Highland Clearances, which occurred in the aftermath of the Jacobite rising of 1745. Many of the characters are real people, including one of the principals, Alan Breck Stewart. The political situation of the time is portrayed from multiple viewpoints, and the Scottish Highlanders are treated sympathetically.

The full title of the book is Kidnapped: Being Memoirs of the Adventures of David Balfour in the Year 1751: How he was Kidnapped and Cast away; his Sufferings in a Desert Isle; His Journey in the Wild Highlands; his acquaintance with Alan Breck Stewart and other notorious Highland Jacobites; with all that he suffered at the hands of his Uncle, Ebenezer Balfour of Shaws, falsely so-called: Written by Himself and now set forth by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Idées / suggestions / questions :

- Découvrir un code ? résoudre des énigmes permettrait d'obtenir un bout du code ; à la fin, celui qui détient l'ensemble du code obtient "quelque chose" mais quoi ? -> Lot(s) à définir (tenir compte qu'il peut y avoir plusieurs gagnants)
- Faire le parcours soit selon un ordre alphabétique des régions ? A priori, option non retenue puisque pour découvrir le code, ordre alphabétique pas forcément nécessaire, il faut obligatoirement être passé sur toutes les régions participant.

ARRIVEE
- Quel lieu d'arrivée ? Proposition : un lieu qui serait le résultat d'un travail collectif/collaboratif ? Cela impliquerait de Builder une région spécifique. Les échanges ne penchent pas pour cette option, plutôt utiliser une ou des régions existantes.

DEPART
- Quel lieu de départ ?
- Lister les informations à fournir au départ (conditions de réalisation, règles du jeu/règlement, etc.
- Soigner le départ en le rendant motivant, stimulant

ENIGMES
- Quelles énigmes ? Un parcours constitué d'étapes comportant des énigmes d'une difficulté croissante ?
- L'énigme devrait être en lien avec la région ou la grille visitée, elle doit également impliquer de visiter ou se déplacer dans la région.
- L'énigme ou les énigmes seront cachées dans un ou des "objets". Elles doivent permettre d'obtenir un bout de "code" / une "clé.

DIVERS / FONCTIONNEMENT
- "Objets" communs à toutes les grilles ?
- Un clic sur l' "objet" ouvre une notecard (comportant l'énigme, un bout d'histoire, l'étape suivante, etc.)
- Possibilité de faire intervenir un NPC (ex un ancien alchimiste) et/ou d'utiliser un panneau commun (texte ou "audio") qui serai(en)t présents à chaque étape.
- Il est important de prévoir d'indiquer au participant l'étape suivante.
- Chaque grille ou région participant à la chasse au trésor devrait être libre d'organiser ce que doit faire le participant mais en tenant compte d'un fil conducteur entre chaque étapes du jeu. Cela implique de tenir compte de l'étape précédente.
- Concernant le *fil conducteur* : une histoire (ex : sur les traces d'un voyageur)
- Chasse au trésor ou jeu de piste entre grilles francophones mais ouvert(e) aux autres langues.

La grille transmet l'ensemble à la suivante qui fera de même. Les régions ou grilles précédentes ne connaîtront pas la suite de l'histoire (et pourront donc également participer au jeu !)

The next addition to the Homelandz Public Library is the 3rd request from Remmy Ravenhurst...none other than Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo.

Les Misérables (/leɪ ˌmɪzəˈrɑːb(əl), -blə/,French: [le mizeʁabl] ) is a French epic historical novel by Victor Hugo, first published on 31 March 1862, that is considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. Les Misérables has been popularized through numerous adaptations for film, television, and the stage, including a musical.

In the English-speaking world, the novel is usually referred to by its original French title. However, several alternatives have been used, including The Miserables, The Wretched, The Miserable Ones, The Poor Ones, The Wretched Poor, The Victims, and The Dispossessed. Beginning in 1815 and culminating in the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, the novel follows the lives and interactions of several characters, particularly the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.

Examining the nature of law and grace, the novel elaborates upon the history of France, the architecture and urban design of Paris, politics, moral philosophy, antimonarchism, justice, religion, and the types and nature of romantic and familial love.

For those who missed out on issue #1 from December of 1953, with Marilyn Monroe, here is issue #2, January 1954. (All issues will be found on the magazine rack upstairs...simply paste the hop into your map for a 2nd time, once you arrive at the region, and it will take you right to the correct bookcase.

These magazines can be rezzed in world to proudly display on your coffee table, bookshelf, whatever you wish. You can also simply "add" them and they attach as a HUD to your screen, and read in comfort, and only you will see!

I hope many will enjoy to see firsthand the evolution of an iconic magazine known worldwide for culture, class, style. I hope many will read the articles, jokes, and interviews. For instance, when we reach March of 1954, we find the first of 3 parts of Ray Bradbury's novel "Farenheit 451" Wow! It is truly like taking a step back into the 1950's, and seeing how things were!
