The windlight of BW Castle had to be adapted to the new display with PBR, as it suddenly appeared much too dark. Another PBR inconvenience was the need to retexture the terrain, as all regions in the new viewer were displayed with standard ground textures. Black White Castle with green grass texture doesn't work at all ;)

Das Windlight von BW Castle musste an die neue Darstellung mit PBR angepasst werden, da es plötzlich viel zu dunkel wirkte. Ein weiteres PBR-Ungemach war die Notwendig der Neutexturierung des Terrains, da alle Regionen im neuen Viewer mit Standard-Boden-Texturen angezeigt wurden. Black White Castle mit grüner Grastextur geht gar nicht ;)

Thanks to the AMAZING Firestorm and OPENSIM NGC team (and a bit of work from us!) our whole grid is now running with PBR textures and terrains. IN fact this image doesn't use PBR materials, just the standard texturing. Wow.

Polar bears are good at helping you find stuff, if you can find one. So, people are using the box more and more to request help. As you know, comments in the box get drowned out by not nice comments. Even the nice comments push the requests down until they disappear. But there is help with that. Just join the What Are You Looking For group. https://opensimworld.com/groups/1060

• Why: As I mentioned, there is a short time before requests in the box go to oblivion The posts in the group stick around, increasing the chances that you will find help from our over 100 members.

I'd like to announce that I'm going on vacation from OS for a time. But I've been on a vacation from OS already, for maybe two months now, and I'd have to interrupt my vacation to say that I'm not going on vacation because I'm already on vacation. So, no announcements. Mainly because, at this point, I'm confused about the whole vacation thing. However, while I'm pretty sure I'm on vacation from OS, I still log in to OSW on occasion to check on the What Are You Looking For group. The helpers there have been, and continue to be, incredible! Anyways, if you want to send me a message, I'm likely to see it, and I might just answer.

HOW TO USE THE MAINFRAME.
Download the free program wc3270 for windows. Install it. Set up a connection to cyberdatastorm.com:3270. Your logon ID & PASSWORD will be USER100 & PIZZA OR USER101 & TACOS . You will have access too JCL, COBOL, ASSEMBLY, C++, REXX, and will be able to use the SYSDUMPs. You will be on sysplex1 with full access to 3380, 3390, and 3350 DASD. You will also have access to IBM 3420 TAPE Unit. You can explore what a mainframe operating system is like and how it is different from personal computers. Obviously you will not have access to TOP SECRET or RACF. I often say that anyone can learn PC stuff (personal computers) like Linux, Windows, or Apple OSX by reading just 1 thick 2000 page book. But for the mainframe you need to read about 200-300 of those thick 2000 page books. It is way more complicated. There are 5 mainframe operating systems: IBM Unix called AIX, IBM vm/cms, IBM os/400, Digital Equipment Corp VMS, and the Zos family. This mainframe you are logging into is in the Zos family. It does support full ISPF/TSO and CDC's (cataloged datasets). You will not have access to easytrieve, expediter, endeavour, and CICS.

What is orb? Orb is a webtop operating system. This means, it's like having a working windows desktop computer, but in a browser window. WHY DOES IT MATTER? Well, imagine your avatar has a tablet in their hand, or cell phone, or a laptop. Now imagine your avatar can zoom in on the screen AND RUN REAL WORLD APPS and save data. Example: Your avatar could have a tablet in their hand that is running firestorm they are using to control another avatar. o.O You get it? Not only that, but this webtop computer is super fast and super responsive (no lag or delay at all). All you do is go here: https://gitlab.com/hsleisink/orb and download the latest release of orb to your linux machine, then gunzip it, then tar -xf. Then take the folder structure to your webroot. THIS WILL GIVE EVERY USER ON YOUR GRID THE ABILITY TO HAVE INWORLD WORKING DEVICES. Many users can set up free accounts. What's more is that letters they type and so on will be saved in their instance protected by their user name and password. :) Pretty cool huhhh? My latest and probably most difficult memorial build, not that it was hard to do, but that it is a memorial to my very first pet who was so loyal, loving and protective. Wolfie was truly my best friend and to this day I miss him. He was half great Dane and half Siberian Husky and looked very much like a Canadian Timberwolf, hence his name. He was the most adorable puppy and grew into a beautiful and amazing adult dog. His memory will be forever treasured by me, but building the memorial brought a few tears to my eyes, I loved my boy.

This is what we deal with now...I have more places that do the same shit.
I know that they have taken all our REBORN Stuff, hairs, shoes and much more from Santorini Shop plus they took the pictures I have made with logo on. But the most stupid thing is that they copy the model statues at Santorini and the Shoe that we have as display at the shop. This is not all...

They have taken almost all stuff from R.Lion, Moonrose, Soul-GRID and many more great GRIDS that works so hard to bring stuff like I do to make opensim happy. So yes BIG FUCK YOU!! They have been a lot of people from the GRID that have taken stuff from our REBORN Store, not just one avatar. Oh yes they do use a lot of different avatars the mother fuckers.
I really hope that opensim close down the GRID, if not I hope people stop support this fuckers and stop think they are doing good for opensim. Your fools to then. Hopefully more people do like we did BANN THE FUCKING GRID! We have a lot of good people who do a lot of work and help one and another here, so please don´t think for one moment that we will never know if you or your fucking GRID take our stuff to resell without our notice, the funny thing they were on Avitron to so yes you get mad If I bann you...LOL really!! So che hanno preso tutte le nostre cose REBORN, capelli, scarpe e molto altro dal Santorini Shop, inoltre hanno scattato le foto che ho fatto con il logo. Ma la cosa più stupida è che copiano le statue modello di Santorini e la scarpa che abbiamo in esposizione nel negozio. Questo non è tutto...

Spero davvero che OpenSim chiuda il GRID, altrimenti spero che la gente smetta di supportare questi stronzi e smetta di pensare che stanno facendo del bene per OpenSim. I tuoi sciocchi allora. Damit haben wir es jetzt zu tun ... Ich habe mehr Orte, die den gleichen Mist machen.
Ich weiß, dass sie alle unsere REBORN-Sachen, Haare, Schuhe und vieles mehr aus dem Santorini Shop mitgenommen haben, außerdem haben sie die Bilder gemacht, die ich mit dem Logo darauf gemacht habe. Aber das Dümmste ist, dass sie die Modellstatuen von Santorini und den Schuh kopieren, den wir im Laden ausstellen. Das ist noch nicht alles...

Sie haben fast alle Sachen von R.Lion, Moonrose, Soul-GRID und vielen anderen großartigen GRIDS übernommen, die so hart daran arbeiten, Sachen wie ich zu bringen, um Opensim glücklich zu machen. Also ja, GROßER FICK DICH!! Es waren viele Leute aus dem GRID, die Sachen aus unserem REBORN Store mitgenommen haben, nicht nur ein Avatar. Oh ja, sie benutzen viele verschiedene Avatare, die Wichser.
Ich hoffe wirklich, dass OpenSIM das GRID schließt, wenn nicht, hoffe ich, dass die Leute aufhören, diese Scheißkerle zu unterstützen und aufhören zu denken, dass sie OpenSIM Gutes tun. Deine Narren bis dahin. Hoffentlich machen es mehr Leute wie wir. BANN THE FUCKING GRID!
