Correcting and replacing textures is quite a nerve-wracking activity. That's how far it is now, more or less already normal. This is what happens when you get an object necessary for the context, the textures of which are totally messed up. If anyone has a better one, would you be willing to let me have a copy?

The inauguration show of the GavezDois Art Gallery, with the portuguese João Frazão and Zoree Jupiter, in an unforgettable night at the reproduction of the Pena National Palace.

Arrive early to admire the more than 400 images generated by Artificial Intelligence, which make up the gallery's current collection.

Two of the most visited and important monuments in Portugal are represented on the grounds of the GavezDois Art Gallery, in Osgrid.

Here you can see one of them, the Pena National Palace, which is located in the Sintra mountains. Eternally grateful to the generosity of Ernest Moncrieff who built this magnificent building.

It is now open to the public and can be found in Osgrid's Destinations Guide. There will be a grand opening party soon!

RANDOM THOUGHT ON AN ARCANE TEXTURE, CREEPY NEIGHBORS, CREATIVITY and INTEGRITY

Was reading the back and forth of the infamous "arcane texture on my dance floor" with some interest. I have no connection to anyone involved, including Marianna, but this quote from her post hit home with me:

" they're not just copying pixels—they're co-opting the creative vision and storytelling of the original artist. They're diluting the integrity of the work and robbing it of its unique identity."
That is a huge problem for any creator, from Taylor Swift (who has to re-record her entire library after getting it stolen out from under her), all the way down to the poor guy who created that arcane texture god knows how many years ago years that probably 100 people have used without permission. From all indications, it is truly a bad problem in Open Sim. I wager this is why many artists who support themselves by their work or who want their ideas protected are hesitant to invest time or money into the "wild west' of OSGrid or open sim in general. To reiterate, I am not talking about copying an object or texture or pulling something from Second Life and redoing it. There are legitimate reasons for this. We are talking about the stealing of narrative and overall concepts that an individual created. Basically stealing someone's dream that they have risked sharing with the world.

Here is a small example:

It was only months ago I arrived in OS and decided to open up a small space on the OSGrid, Avedon Park. It was only days after that I was contacted by my landlord (Shout out to Undecel Masala at Masala Estates! THE BEST VIRTUAL LAND PROVIDER IN THE WORLD) regarding two regions that had popped up right next to mine....to be continued.

Week 6: Learning the Fundamentals of Your Viewer
This week, we will cover the basic functions of your viewer, essential for customizing your experience. You will learn how to create outfits and get dressed, utilizing the outfit system. We will go over the toolbars buttons, clearing cache and building in your AO. Volume controls for adjusting other avatars' voices will also be addressed. The Magic Mirror! Have you wanted a mirror you can click on and see yourself? Well here it is... You must change the mirror from "Buy" to "Sit" after you get it home. Then just click the mirror and sit on it. Press the [Esc] key on your keyboard to see yourself in the mirror. Make sure to turn off your AO. When you are done playing with the menu animations in the magic mirror, simply stand up. Et Voila. ( Yes I know this mirror is ugly as sin, but it's full perm, and you can play with the script, and retexture this mirror any way you like, maybe even put the scripts inside a decent looking mirror? i dunno. Anyway Enjoy )
With this script it is also possible to put in other animations, such as if you wanted to see yourself dancing in the mirror. etc. A long long time ago, i made this script for a lady in digiworldz. She put it inside a beautiful mirror and gave me a copy of that mirror, but I lost it in a grid crash, and it's been so long ago I forgot her name. I would love to have a copy of that mirror again, so if you want a better mirror ask around on digiworldz.

It took me about 3 years and 3 grids to finally get this castle built. Starborne Keep will take some time to explore. There is so much to see in The Land Of Xzar, plan to stay awhile. Please, don't just stand there and cam. You won't hear the sounds of the land and you won't see the details. You can get a notecard with Landmarks to help you get around at the landing. Use them, walk around, explore. If I am on, say hi. Strangers are only friends you have not met yet.
