When I think of Rudi and Nasti the first memories I have of them have always been incredibly supportive and encouraging from the moment I met them. With the news of Rudi's passing, I felt an immediate loss to our community, I cannot imagine how difficult this is for Nasti. It is with sincere condolences to Nasti and the family, I created a pendant in his memory. For those that were touched by Rudi and his kind spirit, this is for you to remember that spirit.

And all the hard work is paying off! We had 8 people here all at once on day two. That's like what? 5% of all the AVs in OS?

It's all because of the the aura of Adachi. Drawing people here like bears to honey. Like moths to a flame. Like serial killers to college sororities. (OK, maybe not the last one. That's from some movie or something).

Although we don't have Adachi here, we have many of the great people from the CK grid, with more showing up every day. Pop in and pay us a visit.

We have built a temporary home for CopyKat exiles. While the CopyKat Grid is down, your AV there can't sign in. You will need to sign into OS using an alt account on another grid. (That's why we call this "CK Alt Island.")

If you are a member of the CopyKat Realm group, find a member of the Friends of CK group and ask for an invite. You can then set CK Alt Island as your home location if you like. We also have shop space for you. (oh HELLO is reopening soon).

I've decided to leave both OpenSim and Second Life. It's not for some sulky reason, someone offended me or anything like that. I've just decided my life is going in a different direction.

My Ruth2 and Roth2 avatars. Luna on the left is wearing Ruth2 RC3 (I don't use RC4 because I don't like the alpha hud for that version). The dress is from the Kitely Market and made by Pacifica. Hair, skin, and shape are mine (no I don't sell these or give them away and haven't made any others since - not my thing). Apelles on the right is wearing the latest version of Roth2. Clothes and hair are from the Kitely Market. The glasses and shoes I made. Each one's complexity is about 55000 to 60000. Just so you know you can get a nice unique look with Ruth2 and Roth2

Rebelworld is currently dead. My Workstation is no longer currently able to run my server. I simply do not have the funds to fix it. This means no shared worlds, and no Johnny Rebel avatar either for awhile. I am so very sorry everyone. I just wanted to be able to share free, older content that is fast dissapearing, and Johnny Rebel's home, as well as many large worlds that old friends have there. It is simply financially beyond my control at present. Prayers, love, hugs, and high 5's everyone. :/

I have become aware that there are various grids saying they have or will stop the use of the SatyrFarm system due to issues with the animal scripts in the Quintonia edition. As soon as I was made aware of this issue I released an update (version 5.8 of the animal script) and you can pick up the rezzer/updater for this in Box 1 from the Mintor store. I would strongly recommend people to update their animals to this version as soon as you can so as not to get on the wrong side of your grid owners etc. Thanking you for your help in this.

I believe, in my opinion, that "war" is founded on envy of the success of a AVITRON... who took advantage of the greed of a grid (Sacrarium) to attract users to their grid, and on the selfishness of some copiers who claim as their own the creations of SecondLife creators, who are not involved in this fight. If you learned to copy and upload your copies, you have 3 options ... 1) you share it with friends ... 2) you share it with the entire Opensim community ... or 3) You don't share it with anyone, only for your personal use . But copiers claim to receive recognition as "Gods" just for knowing how to use a copybot very well. Sacrarium is a good grid, but...IS PART of Opensim...so...Opensim is beyond than Sacrarium. You want Sacrarium copys ?...make a Avitron account...you dont want Sacrarium copys ?...stay quiet in your grid. Its easy. Just...respect the other users and make your own life.

Ausgrid is down at the moment cause I'm having issues with pc that crash with blue screen saying memory management. I guess it Windows that is corrupted so i might have to reinstall windows. It a pain in the ass. Grid and Regions are safe in other hard drive.
It was working fine and that before bad storms and i saw it coming so i quickly shut down grid & regions then shut down pc and that when next day it gone crazy with blue screen saying memory management, etc you know silly thing. I think i guess it can be corrupted Windows cause i run DVD Linux on it and ran for hours so it have no issues. People that have regions in Ausgrid are missing Ausgrid and so am I missing it.

Buoys! Performed some updates on this buoy. PBR makeover and now this buoy bobs and rocks in the water. (Place in sim water and then touch it to auto height adjust.) Also some PBR materials in the shop, custom signs at request.

Once more I apologize. A lot of people came to FLORA and couldn`t have the copy of the sculpts set box inside (among others). When it`s 1st happened, I thought.. ok. it was 3.am. tired... I might have forgotten put it . But then, I put an 2nd time. and people still saying it`s not there.. U know. Opensim can be really weird with assets. Originally the sculpts were on my AMV account , then I brought them to WT grid and worked on script when I was there. Tried to bring back to AMV (as FLORA is here), had assets issues.. had to bring piece by piece.. So to avoid further issues... I put a 3rd time If for some reason one s till cant have it, I rezzed the SCULPT SET box on the ground.. Once more sorry for the inconvenience. And people from opensim knows that these weirdnesses happens all the time...

Picked up the lovely Celia avatar from Agartha just for the gown, which is gorgeous just with the regular textures. But I couldn't resist adding the gold pbr textures you see here. The dress is no transfer, so I can't give away a copy, but I put out a box in the lobby at Lunaria Emporium with the materials and textures I created for it. Some may have noticed that Uzuri (formerly Uzuri Virtual) is back. We got in a bit of
a mess with the code and such last year, but hopefully it is done now. New Linux server and new names - Uzuri Prime and Uzuri Common. We're back 24/7 seven days a week.

Why "Uzuri"? you may ask. Well, the word "Uzuri" means niceness, goodness or beauty in Swahili. No, I'm not a Swahili speaker but I thought is described what I want from opensim, so there it is.
Please note, though, that if it doesn't look the same as before, that's becaue I had to use older oar files to load the sims in because of corruption of the other ones. Some stuff is missing and some stuff that was removed is back. Telle est la vie!

I have removed the Athena stores from Uzuri Prime because the stuff in them was old and were not enhancing the sim in any way - you can find that stuff everywhere.

Uzuri Common is Open Source/ Authorised only. It is "old school", mainly built from scratch in the viewer. It has a bit of Ruth/Roth 2 stuff and lots of Selea Core.

Question about opensim

Is it just me or is others not getting notifications when someone messages them? I dont always jump on osw everyday but lately when i have i look into my messages seeing messages from like 6 days to a month ago. Anyway to fix this, i have checked my settings and all boxes are not checked?

I don't normally post anything politically divisive - and this is not posted to do that although in the current climate some people will choose to leap before looking.
Rather I'm posting this because I'm in awe of the person who made this.
Remember that the right to peaceful protest is something many people don't get the chance of doing.

Opening wednesday, 26th march! Gloebit mall of original mesh creations by Remmy Ravenhurst! There will be free gifts which also are not available anywhere in the metaverse. The idea behind this mall is to give original creators an opportunity to make a few coins here and there, hone and improve their skills, support each other, and ensure OpenSim can gain continually more traction as it's own entity, with truly unique items and people!

Some of us may have been around long enough to even recall the days of approx 2003-2008, where average players could create things in SL, hone and improve their skills, sell knick knacks, gestures, what have you...not to get rich or gouge each other, but, perhaps earn a few bucks with our work ethic. But all the big businesses, corporations, and college grads rolled in, had access to million dollar motion capture animation machines, expensive softwares and hardwares out of reach to the average user, and things like this. We happily choose to support other creators that have the "audacity" to ask a small pittance or few coins for their hard and original work.

ALL of these items are legally licensed or free use mesh. Most of it was custom textured by Remmy, and applicable furnitures have poses. Some may have various scripts, a few may have color huds. We will be posting the hop location on Wednesday, when it opens. Thanks for your support and encouragement, in advance!

Jupiter Rowland was wondering in an earlier post why The Virtual Museum had not heard about Opensim. This chart from 2022 from Metaversed Consulting is a reminder of just where Opensimulator places in the metaverse, and is very likely why the Virtual Museum hasn't heard of us. We're one of the tiny dots under Older Users. By 2024, Opensimulator didn't even register on this chart at all. Personally, I love Opensim and plan to be here as long as it's running, whether or not we are recognized by the rest of the virtual world.

Hi everyone! Starchild Shoppe has its new location at Sanctum Astra Grid.
As mentioned back in December, the re-do of the website was the first step to put the store in its own place/grid: this should help with any potential lag, HG TP issues etc.
As you can see there's is a new grid behind: No big plans for it, will probably keep it small, maybe add a club if there's demand? We will see.
But, for now, I hope this helps with struggles some people faced in the past about access etc!
