![]() | Dorena Verne✦ 1 hour ago So, Pagane, if you add "extremely ugly" to the prompt, you'll get a 1:1 copy of your avatar.^^ |
![]() | Pagane 3 hours ago AI draw me a woman, let her have two legs, fix - left and right leg, fix, my left with your left, fix - legs without a copier, fix - the legs should be below, fix, between the body and the legs there should be thighs, fix - not hairy.... |
![]() | JojoTross 3 hours ago Some people require more patience than others, but name calling and judgements only feed the resentment towards your passions. Try and be patient with people, if they are unwilling to see things your way, that's on them. No need to put any more energy into arguing when it can be channeled into art. |
![]() | JojoTross 3 hours ago @DorenaVerne sorry, I don't entirely agree with that sentiment either. Everyone has a right to an opinion because opinions are formed from life experience. The only people who can't be taught are the ones unwilling to learn. I'm a recovering stupid person, and I've learned a lot. |
![]() | Dorena Verne✦ 4 hours ago Creating an AI image is a lot more than just typing a few lines into a prompt. And even this process alone requires constant rework. The rework in other image programs is quite remarkable. |
![]() | Dorena Verne✦ 4 hours ago @JoJo You hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately, the people posting here are often idiots who, without any knowledge of the subject matter, believe they have a right to an opinion even without this knowledge. Well, you can't teach stupid people anyway. |
![]() | Dorena Verne✦ 4 hours ago @Cheryl @lyrik It certainly doesn't hurt to keep your mouth shut about things you know nothing about. @JoJo You hit the nail on the head. |
![]() | JojoTross 4 hours ago I understand those who play the comparison game with their traditional ways of creating artwork, and how they would feel threatened, but art is subjective to both the creator and observer. There's a point where it feels like gatekeeping to tell writers they can't make images. |
![]() | JojoTross 4 hours ago But saying an AI image generated with a painfully thought out well written prompt isn't art is a slap in the face to writers, authors, anyone who expresses themselves in the written word. The imagination and expression is there. Rather then going with the flow, it all has to be planned carefully. |
![]() | JojoTross 4 hours ago The art isn't made with a canvas, paintbrushes, pencils, or any of that, it's made in the mind and articulated up front. It's a different set of tools, another means of artistic expression. Yes, there is an ABUNDANCE of slop, low effort prompts generating lazy images. I wouldn't consider that art. |
![]() | JojoTross 4 hours ago @LyricOSG it's easy to think that, but as someone who's dabbled in it myself, I would have to disagree. In order to produce a good image one is proud of, they have to be insanely articulate and well written, describing every detail clear enough for the machine to get it all right in one shot. |

![]() | Diabolik_Petrovic 9 hours ago Good morning to all friends/Buongiorno a tutti gli amici |
![]() | CherylFurse 10 hours ago good question @Lyric. In early stage it was not so perfect and could be seen as a tool with knowledge of prompting. It was a skill to prompt right. Now it seems to be automated consumer ware. No own creativity needed anymore |
![]() | Lyric Morlaine 11 hours ago AI prompts ≠ art. Typing a line and letting a machine spit out an image isn’t creative expression, it’s automation. If my 5-year-old can do it, should we really call it ‘art", or is it something else entirely? Curious how others see it. |
