Announcement and Information: 4th Anniversary of Pangea Grid
Dear Pangea Grid & Opensim Friends,
We are excited to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the Pangea Grid starting in October! Until the end of the year, you can expect many surprising events and interactive experiences that everyone can participate in. Our celebrations include extraordinary events and themed weeks that honor the diversity and unique charm of the sims that have emerged over the past four years.
Initial Event Announcements and Information:
October 6: Blues, Rock & Reggae Event at Bourbon Beach
Presented by Adriana Darkheart:
Live Music by Evan Williams: An unforgettable Pink Floyd concert.
Live Music by PutriSolo: Captivating Blues and Rock performance.
DJane Adriana Darkheart: After-show party with reggae rhythms.
October 11-13: Anniversary Weekend
October 11: Mega-Party in Cologne
DJ Marlon Wayne: Heating up the night with a fantastic music set. An unforgettable evening of music and dance, crowned by an incredible live act.
October 12: Pangea Rainbow Parade
Theme: "Diversity is our Joy: Respect Unites Us"
Participation: Every grid can participate, build colorful floats, or apply as a jury member to award the best creations. Prizes include small cash amounts.
Shows: Bink Draconia presents a men's ballet, and Lampithaler with a rainbow show to the music of Reyno Parx.
After-show Party: With top-class DJs.
Registration: Please register by September 15 at the latest. More information can be found in the Rainbow Parade Info Box Inworld.
October 13: Birthday Go-Kart Race
Participation: Each grid can send two drivers to the race. The track can be familiarized with during open training.
Event: After the award ceremony, there will be a concert by SarahMarie Phillis and a Go-Kart Race Party with DJ Marlon.
Information Evening: On August 9, Karsten Runningbear will host an information evening about the upcoming Go-Kart Race. The invitation and further details can be found Inworld in the Info Box: Pangea Go-Kart Race.
Further information and updates will also be published on our website, here on Facebook, and in Opensimworld. Our Pangea team is always available for questions.
We thank everyone who has made the Pangea Grid a lively and unique place: a place where art and culture flourish, where people laugh together and support each other, and where creativity is everywhere. Live concerts, impressive shows, colorful carnival celebrations, and inspiring art exhibitions enchant many people and have made numerous parties unforgettable.
Our special thanks go to all the artists, singers, performers, visitors, and builders who have brought the Pangea Grid to life. We also extend a big thank you to HG Safari, Thirza Ember, Mal Burns and his team for their reports and support. I found this cool looking funky retro couch but alas it had no animation in it. I found the perfect fix with the "Pineapple Engine" from @AuroraAsteria located at her Starchild Shoppe at Darkharts. With barely two clicks I now have a couch with dozens of great animations in it. It is easy to use, even an idiot like me can do it!
Highly recommend!

In the past, as I guess many others in OS too, we had to have a 'paging' system for rentals, get involve in each transaction, assign permissions... it was an administrative nightmare.
Now we can manage almost 300 parcel rentals (both free and paid) spread across 8 regions (and planning on another 72!) SEAMLESSLY!

Your IP Address is recorded every time you visit any sim in the robust log. This means you cannot go to ANY sim without your IP being recorded. All I have to do to see anybody's IP is go to my robust file, and search on part of their name. This pulls up their name, ip address, cmac, and key. So if you are paranoid or don't your information out there, then don't come to the metaverse. First of all the way ip addresses work, your IP address MUST be told to the server you are visiting so it knows WHERE to send visual data back to so that you can see it. In fact, this is how the entire internet works. So get a grip.

Tell me about old times, Jeanne. Monkey yawned. We were tired after a day of working on the Caribou regions.

My thoughts went to Skuld, my stray cat whom I miss so much and always will love dearly.

One night in early Second Life, two shy and misplaced souls met outside a strip club. We were too scared to go inside.

We said hi and became friends. Skuld moved from her cardboard box to a Romanian cottage in early Caribou. She found Ariadna, a sweet girl from Romania. They became inseparable.

I was alone. I had lost my SL friend and daughter. Little was weak after a car accident and joined the real angels too soon.

The Mama in me had nobody to take care of.

I got caught by the club and sex scene. A Mistress picked me up and set me dancing on a pole.

Night after night I danced in a quiet club, afraid of losing my life again.

Mostly I was alone. Sometimes someone came. Most had no Linden Dollars.

The Mama in me felt sorry and ended up helping them with a few.

Once a small stocky black cat came in. She just sat there, looking quietly at me.

“Jeanne, friends are the most important thing that we have. Don’t lose us. Come home.”

My stray cat Skuld woke me up. I went back home to Caribou, to Skuld and Ariadna and Kallu and Diana. I was with my friends.

“Could this happen today”, I think Monkey asked.

Yes Monkey. It did. I slipped once again, much later, when I was alone again.

I was helped back by friends who cared.

I am still grateful. Always and forever.

"These islands are my life. Every cove every hill every cottage and every memory"

"Now we stay with Caribou. Always."

Monkey said nothing. She grabbed my hair. I think she smiled.

Week 6: Learning the Fundamentals of Your Viewer
This week, we will cover the basic functions of your viewer, essential for customizing your experience. You will learn how to create outfits and get dressed, utilizing the outfit system. We will go over the toolbars buttons, clearing cache and building in your AO. Volume controls for adjusting other avatars' voices will also be addressed. By the end of this day, you will have a solid grasp of the core viewer features allowing you to tailor Open Sim to your needs. With practice, these functions will become second nature. Understanding these basics paves the way for more advanced creativity down the road. Class will be starting at 10am grid time every Saturday

Hello, everyone, friends of New Life Italy,

The first two tribute evenings to the Sanremo Festival have come to an end, retracing the past years of the previous editions of the Italian music festival. With DJ Tombeur, we listened to the most beautiful songs from 2011 to 2023, while with DJ Adry, we listened to and sang the most beautiful songs from the festival from 2001 to 2010. Two wonderful evenings, thanks mostly to you, our precious audience.
This "Waiting for Sanremo 2024" is truly making us have a lot of fun, and much of the credit goes to you, who always follow and support us with your affection and your presence. Tomorrow, on January 31st, on the Ariston stage (of NewLifeItaly), our very talented Nikità will perform in a live concert not to be missed. The concert will start at 9:30 PM Italian time, 12:30 PM SLT. Don't miss it.
Our Sanremo journey will resume on February 2nd with the very talented DJ Angel Dark, who will take us back in time from 1991 to 2000, letting us listen to the most beautiful songs of those years. This adventure will conclude with our DJ Tombeur, the creator of this beautiful musical journey. With him, we will revisit the beginnings of the Italian Song Festival, starting from the distant 1980 to 1990.
The commitment is significant, and just as great is the desire to showcase the beauty of our country to all of you through this powerful medium called MUSIC. Don't miss out!
