The bible says that if you think everyone else is evil, that it is actually YOU who are evil. Learn to love everyone, and always always operate from a base of love. Are you a peace maker? or a trouble maker? Does your joy come from stirring up strife among people? Ask yourself if that is the case why your joy must come from darkness, instead of light? What is wrong with you? How can you change to become a better person?

Quindi dico rilassatevi...se uno lascia il "copia" non vedo perche non copiare....diverso è se come detto prima si usano programmi non leciti e allora è giusto protestare .
Poi a volte vi dimenticate che questa NON E' LA REALTA'!

I come to ask for advice.
I have my grid's homepage set up with Joomla, which is old and outdated because the Jopensim module hasn't been updated again (a pity, because the work this person did was wonderful).
I've tried with Wordpress, and it's not going very well either.
I would like it if you could suggest alternatives for the registration and the grid's website. I am already discouraged, thinking I am a dinosaur on the verge of extinction.

Another thing, the other day I made a web viewer for the grid, a shame, it goes too slow and the new generations are about pressing buttons, not following a huge tutorial to be able to download, set up, and enter a Grid (I know it seems easy to you), but they look at me with eyes of "what???"
Has anyone ever tried this before?

Presenting the OVERWATCH SENTRY. What does it do? Well, you can enter a list of grids to ban, people to ban by name, ip, or key. It also monitors each person that comes into your sim, and if they are wearing too many scripts to try and crash your sim, it bans them. If they are using too much sim memory and eating up all system resources, it bans them. If they are flying and you turn off flying in the system, it bans them. If they are too tall or too short, it bans them. So it does a lot, and it's all settable by you. I didn't do ban by age because avatar age is unreliable and can return a 0 day age. The device is by the christmas tree at cyberdatastorm.com:8002/wizardry. It's a different kind of device from a security system. Security systems ban everyone except those you allow in. This lets everybody in - but it checks them to make sure they are not hacking or trying to hurt your sim, but it can also ban people from a list. It's really simple to use, just add the name to the appropriate list in the objects inventory, then just click to turn it on. Only the owner can turn it on or off.

Thank to Verna Avril and that suzan von otter for finding a bug that causes Local accounts to be banned even though they are not on the list, if the list contained spaces or a null line with just a carriage return line feed. Version 12 is released in their honor and contains this new function. Special thanks to princeofAmor for suggesting to ignore npc's. That cuts out 5 additional operations per iteration making the device faster if you have npc's on your land. :)

I've already mentioned that OpenSim has entered the Fediverse several months ago, and that there are even two dedicated Mastodon instances for OpenSim users. One is opensimulator.social (https://opensimulator.social/), run by Buzzy Cnayl of VivoSim (formerly Quintonia, see news below). The other one is opensimsocial.com (https://opensimsocial.com/explore), run by Lone Wolf.

But the Fediverse has more to offer than "Twitter clones" like Mastodon. With Reddit messing up big time currently, the time has come for the "Reddit clones" Lemmy and /kbin to grow.

And just a few days ago, Hyacinth Jean has started a Lemmy community (= subreddit) for OpenSim: https://sh.itjust.works/c/opensim/

If you already have an account somewhere in the Fediverse, e.g. on Mastodon, you can use it to join Lemmy communities. If not, or if you find that too inconvenient, feel free to join Lemmy instead.

Wow... this project started in late 2020 and it still is not quite finished. Most of the rides are fully working now and many of the attractions need some polish. Hopefully I will be opening in a month or two... I am so excited to finally see the "light at the end of the tunnel", lets hope it is not a train coming to run me over, LOL!

Sometimes people spy on you.

Sometimes a few greifers come to your sim and they use a trick to crash your sim or create lag. They do it by wearing a device which runs many scripts, and each script is created to do intense math calculations which take a lot of cpu time.
Wouldn't it be great if you had x-ray vision and could see who these people are? Now you can. Just wear my "person lag detector" and it will show you how many scripts a person has running, how much memory their scripts are using on your sim (some are designed to eat up all your sims memory), and how much time they are using of your cpu (some are designed to use up all your cpu with calculations). Gadget: Covert Security System v 1.06.311
Issue: Can cause teleports to fail to region(s) you defined with incorrect uri
Example: If you want security to teleport intruders to region: grid.example.com:8002:Gaol and in err enter example.com:8002:Goal missing grid. in this example, ANYONE trying to teleport to region will fail due to the robust server reproting the following.

This is due to an error you/admin give to teh security system.

FIX: Delete security and restart region or reenter uri into security. restart region. If that fails, restart region and robust.
I prefer you destroy all copies of the security system and wait for me to create a fixed version. I'll report this to opensim dev team as this is a great way for a griefer to hijack a region.

Why is this happening? When you enter a URI the security system requests SIMULATOR DATA with a DATA_SIM_STATUS. No matter what uri you provide, as long as the uri reaches a grid the robust response will be given if region matches. This causes robust to LINK to the region even though the uri is incorrect BUT this will leed to Unable to verify identity of agent USER NAME. Refusing service resulting in no-one able to teleport to region from the region the security is located. Hence, I would say this is a opensim BUg issue. The robust should check uri matches grid uri and reject the request if not a match when a script performs DATA_SIM_STATUS or better still NOT perform an automated Hyperlink to a region when a DATA_SIM_STATUS request is made.

I'm writing to you today to express my disappointment in the toxic and immature culture that has developed on this site. I am a creative person who enjoys coming here to share my work and connect with other creative people. However, I have found that the majority of the fire conversations on this site are focused on criticizing others and their work. This is incredibly discouraging and has made me feel unwelcome here.
