☻ Mirror and mise en abyme ☻

There is no virtual and real for me, my avatar is me, I am my avatar, everything is my reality...

The way I work is a back and forth between the virtual and the real;
Most of the time, everything starts with a 3D model that is often used in my virtual installations, then this model is printed in 3D and becomes a physical sculpture. Finally, I sometimes scan these sculptures while keeping the alterations they contain and reintroduce them into the virtual space.

These different works have superimposed layers, by playing with the different techniques, they transform, reveal glitches, this mutation is the reflection of the random and multiple visions that I like to explore.

In the AnatoBotanica region, I created a space where you can see my real sculptures in the form of scans, and also a gallery with works in augmented reality.

Sadly... It seems there's a loss of interest among the general population for all things metaverse... People are moving on to other games, or not playing games at all any more, and taking on additional real life work to offset the crazy inflation happening around the world... I've noticed huge down turns in the numbers of people getting into virtual worlds lately. Can't say I blame 'em... All the name calling, in fighting, back biting, hate spewing, trolling, and worse going around.
But it is what it is... What is it? You ask... Well, it's such a huge reduction in numbers that only a small percentage of "hard-core" virtual lifers remain... It's sad... It's unfortunate... We have seen many grids recently shutting their doors and I fear we will see many more admins clicking the red power off button in the future. Anyway to all those leaving, I bid you safe travels, and a happy life. Remember us few lone die-hard souls forever permafrosted into the fabric of the metaverse...

As many of you wonderful peeps out there know Diva, who created this region, sadly passed away in December 2020. We have kept the region live by request from her family and from the many users who frequently visit this region. We continue to update the region and have done a little cleanup as our wonderful Diva passed in the middle of part of the build. Dynamic Worldz will continue to sponsor this region as so many of you find it so valuable.

Priscilla paid me a visit. She couldn't do anything to my sim... at all... All Holiday trees and decorations at Lunaria Emporium are now free and full perm for the season. All have been reworked and many have PBR textures added. I have trees, tree skirts, topiaries, wreaths, garlands, a snow couple, poinsettias, etc; some are prim and some are mesh. These are unique items available nowhere else in Opensim.

Since I released the Cinema Complex last year, I've had a few of you ask if you could get just the ballroom section I created for it. That new ballroom is now nearly complete with brand new pbr textures (as shown), as well as older fallback textures so that everyone will see something. I'll post in a couple of days when it's complete.
