Hello everyone, due to a server change from Windows to Linux and the setting of the support for the Kubwa Manager, I was unfortunately unable to transfer any group information to the new database. Another sleepless night produced this beautiful pyramid with a reflecting pool and Sphynx (which isn't my build but it worked perfectly). Inside there is a huge room and a kind of a mini palace compete with statues, floor lamp torches, pillars and thrones. It turned out better than I had hoped it would and I hope you will enjoy it and use it for your "ancient" or "Egyptian" build. It comes complete with trees and statues and is the perfect addition or center piece for any ancient or even sci fi fantasy build. You can find it here at the mall in our "Ancient Builds" department. So the other day when I was working at our mall, a dear soul contacted me and said she didn't see a sales box in front of the ziggurat, well that was because they were not for sale only because they were a really sloppy build. I gave her one but felt bad because I don't like giving sloppy builds so, I drug it back into blender and cleaned it up, added ramps on the steps, brushed off the dirt and set it out for folks to get for sale for free!!! This Ancient Ziggurat will make any ancient build look amazing and realistic. Stop by the mall and get your copy and enjoy....and yes I've since given her a nice, neat, clean copy. Greetings for the morning. When I arrived this morning, a lot of individuals were asking for specific items. I opened Ironhorse for everyone to enjoy, and I've put up a message at the landing asking that you leave anything you like in a note card in the box so I can see if I can deliver it to you. If not, I swear to send you the item, the land, or the person I got it from. I agree that helping and sharing are at the heart of open SIM.

Tosha, Nomad, Doctor Dave and I were invited as guests on Inworld Review today. We were talking about our Pride event last Friday, and various places to see on our grid. We had some technical issues with voice, but it was fun. :)

I am actually nobody of consiquence, but I write this for those who want information about me. I stated to many of you that I would not go into detail because I dont want to speak bad. But attacks are aimed at me and my friends so I write this under protest. Read if you care or are just curious; pass if not, as it makes no difference to me.

I joined Opensim out of curiosity when a close friend of mine showed me something he thought I would enjoy; he was right. I used his account to learn to navigate and explore, it was fun! Then we made my OSG account and I began to explore on my own and meet people. I did not find many until I came across a popular sim. I became friends with that sim owner and they welcomed me in and I started to meet people. Many were very helpful in teaching me and coaching me on OPensim and AVI creation. I listened and learned. I am a pretty fast learner. My first AVI was an atrocity, but entually I got her as close to me and my look as possible, which I found super fun. I had so much fun, I am a shop aholic and this scratched that itch.
A few weeks later I was asked by the grid and sim owner to take part in getting people to sign up. I agreed and then was given a small house that I could decorate. All fine and good. Then out of the blue the grid owner offered me a sim and I told them that I had never ran a sim so dont expect too much (The sim was a shopping area). Then the grid owner gave me a larger house and I was impressed. All seemeds sureal.
A few days later I had invited a friend to the house. (Adult activities were being had betewwn two adults) Out of knowhere the owner of the house poofed in and banned us both from the house sending me naked into the grid landing area. SO apparently the grid owner gave me the house that belonged to another grid manager and they did not agree, but I wound up being the one who was treated like garbage and then they removed the sim they had given to me from me (Luckily I had not invested time in it).
Disgrintled and having a bad taste in my mouth. I could not stay in the grid. The Grid owner constanltly harrassing me for things, even after I was treated poorly for no reason. ALong comes another grid owner who would like to start a similar sim. I eventually agree, because I could not stay in this grid. They were the knight in shinig armor picking up the damsel in distress. All is ok. They show me around their grid and explpain how amazing their grid is, which was fine. Im still cautious and reserved about this venture not wanting to alienate my friends, but was assured that they would understand. EVentually I agree and start to learn how to build etc etc etc. The grid owner doubted that I had any build skills, but quickly I had proved otherwise. All was good. The sim was opened and advertised. People statred to come and the sim rose in ranks. We only were running on the premise that we do it good and do it best, the rest will follow. I was ok with that. If the sim was not good it would die. MAny people started to come and they liked the sim. It became popular.
During the run, only a few people had to be banned and the ban was mutually agreed upon. Soon after though the bans were unilateral. I was fine with this at first becasue it wasn't my grid and the grid owners experience is much more than mine. So I just accepted it. Then we would get people that would come and they brought their friends with them and they would have fun, but then they would get banned. It happened again and again. I would field the complaints from these users and honeslty was powerless to do anything about it. I was met with "Oh Jamie, you dont know what I know." So even though I disagreed and no information was given to suport this, only conjecture and heresay. I let it be becasue..this is not my grid.
Then I was presented some information that I was not thrilled about, I eventually logged out for the day. When I logged in, the grid owner snapped at me. I responded that I will never be talked to like that EVER. I then asked about the information that I was given and allowed the grid owner to explain. Again they advised me that I have no idea as to what the truth is and that the person presenting me this information is insane and that they have a messed up life. (Honestly the explanation and the fact the grid owner snapped at me out of the blue was pretty telling, as I had never even mentioned it to them nor would they have any information that I had known). They apologised and I was ready to let it be. I logged out a little ruffled. Next day I was ready to log in and just work the sim, but was slapped in the face with accusations and allegations from no where. So I simply resigned. Thats it. I just would have nothing to do with them or the sim (Hostile work environment).
I update my OSG profile that I will not be part of any grid, nor will I create an account on their grid, becasue so far its worked out terrible twice. Since I have left, people have asked why I left and my answer was this.

"I will not talk bad, but I just resigned."

I provide no details as to why etc etc. I was then told by those people their experience with the grid owner and it pretty much matched mine in the end. But I would not confirm their story, I would only say Im sorry you had that experience. I have not attacked the sim or the grid owner. The first grid owner I mentioned previously, I have publicly said that they are a moron, but this specific grid owner I have not. The only one I have ever spoken in detail to was to the one that gave me the info. Everyone else, I just stated I resigned. I know some people must enjoy drama, I for one do not. That is why I pretty much have not responded to the digs and jabs this grid owner has slung my way. You can see on OSW I have not responded nor will I; its not part of who I am.

To the grid owner. I have no interest in the success or failure of your grid/sim, it will survive or fail based upon your actions/management alone. As you have stated that if I were replaced by an NPC, no one would notice; have at it. I have not attacked or said anything bad about you, your grid, or your sim, excluding the one person who provided me the chats between you and them, of which we (you and I) discussed. I did not leave the sim, based on that chat transcript alone, but the subsequent actions on your part towards me; especially when you stated that this was a mistake. Each passing day I see what you say about me only re-enforces this.

You claim I am a man, and I am not. I do not have to validate myself to you or anyone else, I owe no one anything. I am thankful that I did not send you more photos of me or call you, because then I would be dealing with you in real life. This shows that my precautions are justified. Regardless, these points can be taken:
1. If I am a girl, I know that no woman should be treated like the way you treated and are treating me and others.
2. If I am a man, and if I had daughters, I would never want them to be around a person like you.

I had no idea you were hunting me down in OS and I ask you to stop. I want no part in you or your grid/sim. I do not seek to undermine you, your grid, or sims, plain and simple. I am just not a part of it and it will thrive or fail on your own merits. Please leave othergrid/sim owners alone and swim in your lane.

Even if I left and never logged in again, as I stated to you prior to my departure, you and your actions alone will be the success or failure of your grid (with or without me). You are smart about running a server and scripting, but I have to give you poor marks with regard to your personal interactions with people and conspiracies you have formulated in your head.

You should also ask yourself, why would Jamie risk all her friendships and waste all her time collaborating with some one to build a sim to make it successful only to work behind the scenes to make it fail? Additionally, to answer the question you had about me..and you should have already had the answer. WHy have I not been myself lately? Well when you have someone close to you going through some medical issues, it can wear on your mood as you worry and contemplate life without them. OS Was kind of an escape from reality.

So in the next few days I will weigh the following and decide whether my time in OS is over:
1. I came to play, meet people and have fun. AM I still acheiving/enjoying this?
2. Is any of this worth the nonsense? I can trade the time I spend here for days on a real beach in a snap.


I want to thank those people that had reached out to me and offered me a sim, a home, land, etc etc. I appreciate the offers and I have declined them. I only offer my opinion on your sims design, thats it. I look forward to stopping by and enjoying your designs.

GET A TEXT MESSAGE ON YOUR CELL PHONE WHEN A REGION GOES DOWN.
How to get text messages, emails, pushover, telegram, and jabber alerts if a region goes down on your grid. Well it's easy. Download servermonitor from https://github.com/phpservermon/phpservermon Next unzip it and upload it to your linux box. I put the files in /var/www/html/servermonitor.
Next get on your web browser and go to websiteaddress.com/servermonitor/install.php Fill in the questions. Set up a web database of your choosing. Create a user and a password. I did this: create database servers; create user 'someone'@'localhost' identified by 'password'; grant all on servers.* to 'someone'@'localhost'; flush priveleges;
Once that is set up, it's a breeze. Use the web interface to add servers to your list. For regions just enter a service and the port number the region is on. example service, custom port, 8007 Then select how you want to be notified if the region goes down. e.g. email or sms text message, etc. Finally using crontab -e enter * * * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/servermonitor/cron/status.cron.php You are done. Now if one of your regions goes offline you will know about it in 60 seconds. Also you can add websites to the list to be monitored, mail servers, any kind of server really. It has a looooong list of server types that can be added. (very handy). Additionally you can click on a region and see it's uptime plotted hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly as well as LATENCY. We all know how important latency is for showing lag. :) Enjoy!

An ancient wall is before you, constructed from large limestone blocks. The centuries have left their mark, etching deep pits and cracks into the stone.
