Well, since I made the "Enchanted" section at the shop, I feel like I need to put new things in it. This always happens, I end up on a theme for a while (cough, cough polar bears).

So, I give you Magical Mushrooms (no, not those kind of mushrooms, that's another theme).

These Fungi have the power to be tree size and come in several variations including versions with 2 spore color choices.
All the textures are in the box for those who like to customize :).

Needful Things - (Construction) News

All old houses have been replaced (now with new door scripts, easier to climb stairs and 2 additional usable floors each).
Various bugs have been fixed, most notably an update bug in the "Crack the Bank Safe" game that had made the win code unreadable.

Some stores now already contain teleporters, but their interior finishing will take some time.

NEW on Needful Things are:

- The "Solar System Quiz" in the Galaxy Store.
- The "Egyptian Empire" store, with all the accessories of my old Egyptian region, now retired. On the first floor there are clothes, avatars or NPCs, on the 1st floor texture venders and on the 2nd floor there are the boxes with all kinds of objects you can need to design a region in ancient Egyptian style (including started gadgets like special pyramid doors, trap doors, sandstorm, etc.).

In the next few days we will start the creation of an Asia store, with useful items for designing a region in Chinese or Japanese style. After that, the stores for winter, Easter and Halloween supplies will be restocked.

Alle alten Häuser wurden ersetzt (jetzt mit neuen Türskripte, leichter erklimmbare Treppen und je 2 zusätzlich nutzbare Etagen).

Einige Shops enthalten jetzt bereits Teleporter, doch deren Innenausbau wird noch einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.

NEU auf Needful Things sind:

- Das "Solar-System-Quiz" im Galaxy Store
- Der "Egyptian Empire"- Shop, mit sämtlichem Zubehör meiner alten agyptischen Region, die sich jetzt im Ruhestand befindet. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es Kleidung, Avatare bzw. NPCs, im 1. Stock Textur-Vendoren und im 2. Stock befinden sich die Boxen mit allen möglichen Objekten, die man zur Gestaltung einer Region im alt-ägyptischen Stil brauchen kann (inklusiver angefangener Gadgets wie besondere Pyramidentüren, Falltüren, Sandsturm, etc.)

In den nächsten Tagen startet die Einrichtung eines Asia-Ladens, mit nützlichen Items zur Gestaltung einer Region im chinesischen oder japanischen Stil. Danach werden die Shops für Winter-, Oster- und Halloweenbedarf neu bestückt.

Can't find someone to sail with you today? Then you can create an NPC sailor to follow you and your SFsail boat!

The sailboats in the current package in OSW region already contain an NPC named "Sailor". You have to edit .SFconfig and change "Firstname Lastname" to your own avatar name, for example:

Button=FollowMe=LINKMSG{-4;889;follow Satyr Aeon}

Then Right click to touch the boat (without sitting) and select Options ->NPCs->ADD->My NPC. Your NPC should sit on the boat now

Touch the boat again and select Options -> FollowMe , then select Options -> Autotrim and then select Options->Raise. The boat with the NPC will now follow you. You can sit on your own boat and sail together.

After hearing of the sad news that Gertie Bumbtious left us on June 5th, we, Niki Stark (ex-wife of Gertie) and I decided to make a tribute edition of Stark! with some nice photos of Gertie. We will miss Gertie very much with her happy, positive manner and her legendary music sets!

PANGEA CUP 2024

Was für ein Megaevent. Nach all den unzähligen Trainingsstunden auf der Kart Bahn fand gestern das große Finale statt. 10 Fahrer aus 6 Grids sind an den Start gegangen und haben sich heiße Duelle geliefert. Auf den Tribünen wurden alle von den eigenen Fans in bunten Outfits angefeuert. Die Stimmung war einzigartig und zeigt, dass es auch gemeinsam Spaß machen kann. Die After-Show-Party im Anschluss sorgte für einen würdigen Abschluss dieses Events.

An dieser Stelle möchte ich ein ganz großes DANKE an das Pangea Grid aussprechen. Ich mag nicht wissen zu wollen, wie viele Stunden damit verbracht worden sind, nicht nur die Strecke, sondern auch das Drumherum so zum Laufen zu bringen. Karsten hat zusammen mit seinem Team Großartiges geleistet und das verdient meinen höchsten Respekt. Gemeinschaft und Erlebnis, Spaß und Freude so unter einen Hut zu bringen ist etwas Einzigartiges in Open Sim World. Danke Danke Danke

What a mega event. After all the countless hours of training on the kart track, the grand finale took place yesterday. 10 drivers from 6 grids started and had hot duels. In the stands, everyone was cheered on by their own fans in colorful outfits. The atmosphere was unique and shows that it can be fun together. The after-show party afterwards ensured a worthy end to this event.

At this point I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the Pangea Grid. I don't want to know how many hours were spent getting not only the track but also everything else running like this. Karsten and his team did a great job and that deserves my utmost respect. Bringing together community and experience, fun and joy is something unique in Open Sim World. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Sometimes when you start to build you think, I don't think I can ever do this. But as you build, it begins to come alive and you're inspired and encouraged and it becomes a work of love. I have a love for ancient cultures and their architecture and customs and Japan is one of my favorites. A culture rich in traditions, customs, values and beliefs that are the heartbeat of the nation still today. This is Morisato Palace, Morisato means "flowing with or full of wisdom". It will be the central build of a new Japanese region I'm working on. When it's ready I'll put out a beacon and open the gates. It was exceedingly annoying to me that a Linda Kellie dress I really liked had something like a MILLION triangles and shot your avatar complexity to 500K.
I reduced the tri count significantly, until I could do no more without destroying the original mesh. Then I rigged for Ruth RC3 and wore it around my lonely little dreamgrid (my internet sucks, in those days I could see myself but nobody could see, talk to or visit me)(this is why I moved to OSgrid). More recently, I also rigged for Athena with my legal copy of the maitreya dev kit. It's common and there's people that prefer it-who am I to judge?

It's in Mythos now. Has pre made variants with the texture, all my textures included (all black dresses with a different type of tartan on each). Old doesn't equal ugly and usually in opensim if you don't like the "out of style" texture on something you can change it...you can use any LK ruffle bottom texture, any one someone else made with the AO, etc. The original AO map is in the box.
It's a shorter skirt so I put some old bloomers I made, and some stockings from Shinobar Annex in the box as a courtesy.
