We weren't going to make any kind of big announcement but since someone from the grid felt it was necessary to post about the move prior to us putting out a release, I guess we should do that now so people aren't doing their usual speculating.

As of June 1st 2026 Littlefield Grid will be ceasing it's grid operations.

What does this mean?

We are in the process (and have almost completed) moving all of our regions to OSGrid. OSGrid has an excellent management and development team, and it has a very large community and we've always had a really good relationship with the management team there. It's also where Littlefield started so for us it was the best option.

All regions are still going to be run on our bare metal servers which are located in a secure datacenter, and we will continue to rent to our users and any new users interested. All of our public, educational, and RP regions are migrating as well as legacy regions like Paramour Shopping which was Aine's region.

Why we are shutting down?

In March of 2026 one of our owners and founding members Ashton Nobilis passed away. Ashton did several modifications to the Opensim code we ran on Littlefield. Although I understand all of it as I myself am an IT professional, we lost Ashton faster than anticipated, and we were unable to obtain 1 very important password from him for one of the grid components. We could hack this piece and create a new password probably, or we could just rebuild the grid and migrate everything as we have access to everything we need, but honestly, this was a labor of love for myself, Dirk Mathers, and Ashton Nobilis. Without Ashton by our side, we just don't have the same feelings toward operating the grid component. There are other personal factors guiding this decision as well. That being said, Dirk and I felt that we could better serve our Littlefield "community" by migrating to OSGrid and allowing them to continue with all the land, community, and public regions they currently enjoy. We intend to use proceeds from the rentals for operating the servers, and to donate monthly to OSGrid as they are doing the work to cover the overhead of the grid services for us, and we feel it's only fair to contribute to the operation.

How soon will this happen?

This is already happening. We have already migrated 70% of the regions to OSGrid. 30% of them are open to the public right now, but I need to fine tune some things and alter some permissions on some things for public consumption prior to opening them up. We should have everything migrated, active, and open to the public in the next two weeks.

We want to thank the Littlefield Grid family for the 14 years they have supported us, and so far all of them were happy to follow us to OSGrid and want to continue the community spirit with us that they had in LFGrid.

Aus diesem Anlass wird Köln in diesem Jahr zur lebendigen Bühne der Kunst. Das Opening startet am 24.04.2026 um 11 AM SLT / 20 Uhr – mit unserem DJ Marlon Wayne, der den Auftakt musikalisch begleitet. Auf der Kölner Domplatte präsentieren sich nicht nur Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit ihren aktuellen Projekten. Anders als in den vergangenen Jahren geben in diesem Jahr auch die kreativen Köpfe des Pangea Grids sowie aus anderen OpenSim-Grids Einblicke in ihre Projekte, Sims und Ideenwelten – denn dieses Festival lebt von Vielfalt und dem gemeinsamen Gestalten. this year we celebrate the Pangea Art and Culture Festival for the fifth time – and we are opening it in Cologne. There is a very special reason for this: 20 years of virtual Cologne. For this occasion, Cologne becomes a vibrant stage for art throughout the year. The opening will take place on April 24, 2026 at 11 AM SLT / 8 PM CET, featuring our DJ Marlon Wayne, who will musically accompany the start of the festival. On Cologne’s Domplatte, not only artists present their current projects. Unlike previous years, the creative minds of the Pangea Grid as well as other OpenSim grids will also offer insights into their projects, sims, and creative worlds – because this festival thrives on diversity and collaborative creation. The pavilions and exhibitions are not just snapshots, but starting points for ongoing projects, new sims, and artistic developments. For this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such incredible creativity. Among the artists presenting larger-scale projects this year are Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem, and Nyx Breen, who will showcase their work over the course of the year in evolving or newly created sims. Come check out the reimaged Paradise tropical island and resort. What once used to be Paradise Tropical island, now has many more added amenity's including a resort!

I have added boat docks to sail the island and find its many charming areas. There is also a zip line for a fun way to get to the resort.

Also come check out the new floating restaurants! VB Daiquiri paradise has all the island flavors and vibe. Craving something a bit more upscale but still has that island feel, go check out Tiki Terrace. The band is always playing that island feel so you can dance your cares way. The food and drinks are a plus as well.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
working on my latest animesh roaming critters, I found myself in a predicament:
script load on sim would add up crazy with my intended, dozens of animeshies roaming, single, in flock,etc;
I've spent a hidious amount of time to overcome this bottleneck, and....guess what: I'm so close I can smell it ☺
Even more: its no longer 1 roaming and 1 anim script< I combined em into one clean - ZERO ! - lag version.
zero lag?....yes, Ive tested it to the bone:
effectively, script updates 1x per second, so its negligable in terms of impact on any angle;
I have now some 50+ roaming critters in ZweetZ: in the old state, that would lead to some 200 script events per second, or more....
With the new script....its between 5 and 10 in Statistics Bar, but thats the other scripts used in the sim, not the animals:)
and, of course, as far as I can tell now, I could another 50 without my server or sim give a blink!
I'm working hard on finalising it for my shop- unfortunatly, Im depending on chatgpt.....and he drives me bonkers with his hallucinations.
But, Persistence pays off......if you find it hard to believe, do visit my sim and head to the pond in centre of forest.....and after that, leave me review:)
P.S: the development and testing of lowlag script was done with default moving. That last step, upgrading it to KFM ( Key Framed Motion), prooved to be hard....but I got it working. The critters u see in the forest ( and shop) are with the default, but, the swan swimming in the pond, is the first with KFM !. Why kfm? It m,akes for a much smoother motion, no jerks etc . A bit more fine tuning required, then I'll post here when the new ones are available in my shop.

Warum Tai Chi am Morgen?
Tai Chi ist Meditation in Bewegung. Es hilft dir, deinen Fokus zu schärfen, die Energie fließen zu lassen und mit einer tiefen inneren Ruhe in deine virtuellen (und realen) Abenteuer zu starten.

I really disliked one of my attractions in THE DIM. We decided to vaporize the Titty Twister ride. At the wave of Dirty Helga's wand, 'The Lamenticon' has emerged; an outdoor theater showing 'LeMIZ' with a Dismayland twist... Every NPC show repeats in a continuous loop so you can FOLLOW them or NOT!

Corazón del Mar is my inworld destination—a place I created to share a feeling, not just a build.

Previous version we added KDU...which was sl only. Quality of graphics is much better. Also added zoom with alt+Z to the selected object kind of how blender works. I changed my personal to alt+. works pretty good.
In this version I fixed a couple of good bugs
1) killed the spam from the non suitcase inventory folder that overwhelms robust logging. Totally unneccessary being that if you use a suitcase...there is no reason to list it where you are visiting at all bieng that you can't access it anyway!
2) Thank you dan banner for helping me fix AIs error that created a little spam...sl uses it we don't!
