I just ordered a second Debian server, which will then be solely responsible for backups.
Sobald er verfügbar ist Folgendes:


1. Grundinstallation prüfen
• Debian aktuell
• SSH sicher
• keine unnötigen Dienste
2. Backup-Ziel vorbereiten
• Benutzer nur für Backups
• Speicherstruktur sauber anlegen
• Zugriffsrechte korrekt setzen

3. Borg-Repository einrichten
• verschlüsselt
• stabil
• bereit für automatische Rotation

4. Verbindung vom Grid-Server testen
• SSH-Key
• erster Test-Backup
• Wiederherstellung probeweise prüfen

Erst, wenn alles sauber funktioniert,
kommt der letzte Schritt:

5. Vollautomatik nachts per Cron
→ komplett selbstständig
→ kein Eingreifen nötig
→ ruhige, sichere Backups für Dorenas World.


As soon as it's available, here's what I'll do:

1. Check the basic installation
• Debian up to date
• Secure SSH
• No unnecessary services
2. Prepare the backup destination
• Users dedicated to backups
• Create a clean storage structure
• Set access rights correctly

3. Set up the Borg repository
• Encrypted
• Stable
• Ready for automatic rotation

4. Test the connection from the Grid server
• SSH key
• First test backup
• Test the restore process

Only when everything is working perfectly will I proceed to the final step:

5. Full automation at night via cron
→ Completely autonomous
→ No intervention required
→ Quiet, secure backups for Dorena's World.

What are your plans for March? Ditching Discord? I built C# bridge between Matrix and OpenSim. A grid user can create a group as normal then optionally connect it to Matrix server. I built an invite link thingy like Discord works. Matrix Users and OpenSim Grid users chat and it all shows up in Matrix (And the group chat inworld in the viewer). The profile pics and av names sync up automagically. I use Element web (and the phone app) but you can use any matrix client you want. So it's interactive.

not sure if anyone wants this feature, if so i'll post it on the ethers. if you don't or can't build OpenSim from source you probably won't use it. :)

OpenSimulator ActivityPub Bridge - A lightweight, database-driven ActivityPub implementation designed for OpenSimulator grids, with first-class support for system actors, groups, and federated posting without requiring OpenSim C# modules, sidecars, or viewer changes.

This project focuses on simplicity, deployability, and compatibility with existing OpenSim + MariaDB setups. (should also work with MySQL if you run the oracle software)

Tested with Forte v26.2.4, Streams v26.2.10, Hubzilla v11.0 (but should work with any AP capable software like Mastodon, Lemmy, etc)

It will verify RFC 9421 sigs if used by remote, but this software only signs with Cavage / V1 signatures.

At this stage it posts group notifications to the social web. It has the capability to inbox/outbox messages for grid users however not yet implemented until I decide on a intuitive way to do it.

Dear Lovelies
I’ve done some thinking and thank all the folks who have sent messages of support and/or hopes that Lovely will reopen. Well the good news is it will but I will run one show a week rather than two.
Lovely Pier Club will run on alternate Tuesdays 12-2 with DJ Anaguma spinning his amazing mix of Eurobeat, Happy Hardcore, JPop and Kpop starting on Tuesday 17th Feb.
Lovely Space Club will run on alternate Saturdays from 12 grid with DJ Rosa Alekseev plus others. Most weeks we hope to do double headers so we can play till late. First event will be on Saturday 21st Feb with Rosa plus Zen Rieko doing the late show.
And the quizzes will continue.. …Regular quiz on Tuesday shows at the Pier and new spacey geeky nerdy quizzes at the Space Club Saturday shows
