Polar bears are good at helping you find stuff, if you can find one. So, people are using the box more and more to request help. As you know, comments in the box get drowned out by not nice comments. Even the nice comments push the requests down until they disappear. But there is help with that. Just join the What Are You Looking For group. https://opensimworld.com/groups/1060

• Why: As I mentioned, there is a short time before requests in the box go to oblivion The posts in the group stick around, increasing the chances that you will find help from our over 100 members.
• How to use the group: Post about items you are, well, looking for...outfits, builds, shops, services, skills, and so on. At times, a group member will actually make what you are looking for. How cool is that? (Hint: very cool!)

What happens if you help? First, you become one of the forces for good in the galaxy. OK, in OS and OSW. We need more goodness here, right? And, about every two weeks, I post a list of our recent helpers, a bit of their profile info, and the address of their region(s).

How to copy your friends from one seriously borked installation to a new fresh installation. First download and run mysqlworkbench. Run the seriously fubarred dreamgrid, and use mysqlworkbench to connect to it. Under databases select the friends table. Enter an sql query like this one: select * from robust.friends; then next a table is generated of all your friends. Click the export button to save this table to your hard disk. Close down the fubarred dreamgrid. Run the new dreamgrid installation. Open wordpad and change your old key in the friends.cvs to your new key in the new installation, search & replace all instances. Now with mysqlworkbench opened IMPORT the saved friends.cvs into the new dreamgrid installation and restart it.

My exhibit consists of portraits I have taken of women who have contributed to Open Sim in significant ways, entitled, "Sculpting Prims: Female Visionaries In Open Sim." This exhibit is to honor and acknowledge the work of women that often goes unnoticed and shine a light on their many accomplishments.
My exhibit is only a part of the opening as we also have several talented artists exhibiting their work you don't want to miss.

In a split second, the fragile creature found itself caught beneath the wheels, a tragic casualty of haste and carelessness. The woman's heart sank as she witnessed the scene unfold, a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and mindfulness in navigating the Rickshaws at Zensational's Sakuragawa. What is orb? Orb is a webtop operating system. This means, it's like having a working windows desktop computer, but in a browser window. WHY DOES IT MATTER? Well, imagine your avatar has a tablet in their hand, or cell phone, or a laptop. Now imagine your avatar can zoom in on the screen AND RUN REAL WORLD APPS and save data. Example: Your avatar could have a tablet in their hand that is running firestorm they are using to control another avatar. o.O You get it? Not only that, but this webtop computer is super fast and super responsive (no lag or delay at all). My latest and probably most difficult memorial build, not that it was hard to do, but that it is a memorial to my very first pet who was so loyal, loving and protective. Wolfie was truly my best friend and to this day I miss him. He was half great Dane and half Siberian Husky and looked very much like a Canadian Timberwolf, hence his name. He was the most adorable puppy and grew into a beautiful and amazing adult dog. His memory will be forever treasured by me, but building the memorial brought a few tears to my eyes, I loved my boy.

In case some 3rd Rock Grid residents that may still not be aware that the grid WILL CLOSE ! on May 15 2024 !

Efforts are currently underway to preserve some portions of 3RG and move what we can onto another grid. This hopefully will include as much as possible, however this may also require some additional work on our (current residents) part, to make this transition as seamless as possible. In order to do so it is important if you are interested, that you attend this meeting, and the subsequent weekly meetings now scheduled thru April and part of May 2024
