As I stepped into the forest, the air thick with twilight, a soft glow began to emerge between the trees. Wisps of ethereal light danced gracefully, slowly moving like wispy tendrils of smoke, each one illuminated in vibrant hues of azure, emerald, and soft lavender. They floated just above the ground, weaving through the underbrush with an otherworldly elegance.

The colors shifted and flowed, casting a gentle luminescence that made the leaves shimmer as if dusted with starlight. I felt an overwhelming beauty wash over me, a breathtaking spectacle that tugged at the edges of my soul. Yet, with every captivating flicker, an unsettling chill crept up my spine.

Phantom Rose friends... The grid is going to be down until Feb. I am traveling on a "once in a life time" trip with my husband. I am beyond excited. Since I host my own server, I have to shut down. Being out of the country for that long, there is no way for me to keep Phantom Rose safe and healthy. When I travel in the US, I am able to use my remote link to do many things, but for safety, I have decided to shut down the grid for the duration of my travels. I assure you, Phantom Rose WILL be back! Hopefully, better than ever. I have been running 24/7 since 2019 and I am looking forward to another 5 years in the Opensim Metaverse! One night, I dreamt I stood at the river's edge in a canyon gorge. Terraced along the cliffs were abundant cherry trees, their branches cascading down towards the water. This place is the embodiment of that dream. This is my latest build and I think one of my personal favorites, a one room luxury cabin with a raised floor for the Kitchen Area, high rise ceilings with large open front, back and side windows to let in all that beautiful sunlight and to just enjoy nature while snuggling next to the built in fireplace. It has carved wooden doors and decorative shutters and simple 4 pane windows and log door frames. This cabin would be gorgeous in any forested or mountainous setting. It is partial mesh but it can be retextured and it is copy, mod, transfer; it has a land impact of 34 including the doors and built in fireplace that has a warm crackling fire going. Roz Carr, born Rosamond Halsey Carr, was an American humanitarian and author who became widely known for her work in Rwanda. Born in 1912, she spent much of her early life as a fashion illustrator and model in New York before marrying British explorer Kenneth Carr.

In 1949, Roz Carr moved to Rwanda with her husband, where they managed a pyrethrum (a type of chrysanthemum used in insecticide) plantation. After her marriage ended, she remained in Rwanda, which became her home for the rest of her life. During the Rwandan Genocide in 1994, she witnessed the horrors of the conflict firsthand. Following the genocide, Roz Carr dedicated herself to helping orphaned children, founding the Imbabazi Orphanage on her plantation to provide care and education to children who had lost their families.

Carr authored a memoir titled Land of a Thousand Hills: My Life in Rwanda, which recounts her experiences in the country, from the time she arrived in the 1940s to the years following the genocide. Her work earned her recognition as a significant humanitarian figure, and she continued to live in Rwanda until her death in 2006 at the age of 94.

Roz Carr's legacy lives on through the orphanage and the lives of the 400 children she helped.
