How to Play:
Start at the Landing:
• Take the HUD: Obtain the HUD and Add to Avatar
• Touch the Orb to register.
• Explore the Neighborhood: Search each home for clues scattered throughout crime scenes.
• Return to the Orb: Stand near the Orb to use your HUD buttons.
• Make Your Accusation: When you think you’ve solved it, use the HUD to guess the Suspect, Weapon, and Room.
• Check the Leaderboard: Located at the landing, the small top orb displays top detectives and clue counts.

DEAR PEOPLE WITH BROKEN OARS AND IARS. Take them to grid.wolfterritories.org and ask Lone Wolf to help you. He has made a system that can REPAIR your iar and oar by seeking the same UUID object from other grids databases and inject the fixed one into your IAR or OAR. This means that in most cases you get ALL OF YOUR INVENTORY AND OAR BACK. Wolf territories also stores their assets in an object format like instagram and youtube do that serve millions customers worldwide. They have for example 30 robust servers running all the time with load balancing, which means no more lost assets. I hope this helps you all. ** Note, I may be mistaken that it is off of the UUID - as I am not privy to the tech Lone invented. That was just my first guess. Saccw pointed out that uuid's are assigned randomly to new items and he/she is correct. So it seems I made an assumption without thinking about it much. Apologies. I should further clarify that Lone is not attempting to capitalize off of osgrid's misfortune. I posted this post without his knowledge and then told him about the post I made. See so many people are asking Lone to recover their iar's and oar's that it's a lot of work for him to sit there and personally upload the file, and use his tech to fix it, and then give it back to the person. Lone's grid is a land rental grid, and the whole process is much easier if the oar and iar are already on the system, think bandwidth and server cost, not to mention personal time.

Pending asset deletion of inventories:

We are really getting agitated with the asset losses , nearly everyday Osgrid goes offline and when its back online , more is lost At least 50% of all we try and transfer to another grid arrives here either broken mesh or asset loss. Boxes we have packed and left rezzed on our single sim also loose assets now.
Our avies have lost their bodies ,heads etc and our inventories are totally corrupted , what is the point in giving us time till 25th March to save what we need ? there is nothing left to save.
Even saved IARs that have been created will be completely incorrect under the circumstances.
This is not only annoying Osgrid Residents,but also is giving a bad impression of the grid in whole.. People will loose confidence in Osgrid management and will move to other grids as a result, which is probably not in the interest of OS grid management.
You should flip the switch and get it over with as quickly as possible.



Wir ärgern uns wirklich über die Assetverluste, fast jeden Tag geht Osgrid offline, und wenn es wieder online kommt, geht noch mehr verloren. Mindestens 50 % von allem, was wir versuchen, in ein anderes Grid zu übertragen, kommt dort entweder aufgrund eines Meshfehlers (broken mesh) oder eines Assetverlustes an. Die Boxen, die wir gepackt und auf unserer einzelnen Sim gerezzt haben, verlieren jetzt auch ihre Assets.
Unsere Avatare haben ihre Körper, Köpfe usw. verloren und unsere Inventare sind völlig zerstört. Welchen Sinn hat es, uns bis zum 25. März Zeit zu geben, um das zu retten, was wir brauchen? Es gibt nichts mehr zu retten.
Auch angefertigt gespeicherte IAR´s werden unter den gegebenen Umständen vollständig fehlerhaft sein.
Dies verärgert nicht nur die Osgrid-Bewohner, sondern hinterlässt auch einen schlechten Eindruck vom Grid insgesamt. Die Menschen werden das Vertrauen in die Osgrid-Verwaltung verlieren und infolgedessen zu anderen Netzen wechseln, was wohl nicht im Interesse des OS – Grid Managment ist.
Man sollte den Schalter umlegen und es schnellst möglichst hinter sich bringen.

Waiting for the bus at trailer park.
Since I am on OSW Website (2 weeks now) many come to my Big City Life and ask for shops. They stand at landing point with distance draw 256 and think that the promenade of little New Jersey is the big city. They stand there for some minutes and cam around looking for shops perhaps. But little New Jersey is country side of the sim. Not the big city lol
To be clear: The shops are just a bonus, because Cities have shops you can buy things. This sim is more like a game experience like you would explore cities. Lot of traffic, all is moving in a City environment. 25 000 scripts are running and 400 animesh people are the population of the sim.
The landing point is just to start with this city experience and load in cache. So this biiig sim (7x7) is purely built to the limit what opensim as technology is still capable and able to offer. It is a lot. But of course, not what we could have with unreal engine or think of Cyberpunk 2077.

If you want to drive with bus in the city then you have to walk over the rails to the bus stop at trailer park. I had no space anymore for a bus stop at Little New Jersey Promenade (Landing Point)
So be warned. Big City Life is not to be confused with other sims that are called similar but are malls. I have shops in the city and also many exclusive things you get only here in opensim but it is not a mall to go for shopping. Most you can copy anyway and don't need a shop for it. If you see something you want to copy then do it. No need to ask for permission. We are in opensim. Not secondlife. Sharing is caring.

BE AWARE IF YOU USE SSD'S. An SSD can randomly go into a complete shut down and lock ALL DATA on the drive out. You won't be able to access that ssd ever again. In my case it was a SAMSUNG 870. Well, I had made several beautiful oars... but I had a drive crash... well actually, an ssd crash. very unexpected as it was a samsung 870. but when i say crash what happened was it totally locked up the ssd. I mean totally. Everything is completely not accessible. At least with a hard drive if you have a crash you can recover most of your files. But apparently not with this ssd. It's beyond crazy they don't make people aware that an ssd can lock up like this for no apparent reason. I'm afraid to say I've lost all my work. Not surprising I suppose. I really don't know what happened, everything was fine when I went to bed, and I woke up the next day and the ssd is electronically locked and cannot be accessed by any computer. I even tried a special device I ordered from amazon. Nope. I never knew this could happen. It's very disheartening to have technical troubles of this magnitude coupled with the negativity from the trolls... so... I just left the grids for months. I may come back one day and try to rebuild everything. But it's a monumental task. I spent so long creating all those beautiful places... Only to have them completely destroyed by a complete ssd lock. I should point out I was running samsung magician and there was NOTHING wrong with the ssd at all... Nothing was reported by magician except that the ssd was in GREAT SHAPE.

Work continues at the Japanese display area under reconstruction at Lunaria Emporium. Added a large torii gate in a central lake. All items are separate and some are free and full perm. Perimeter walls and main gate are next, then I'll start on a larger, more opulent house, revised tea houses, a temple, some additional decor, and a Japanese castle.
