GOODBYE MY FRIEND MALDRUL SMITH
The following is a clip from the Facebook Announcement concerning the IRL passing of our dear friend Maldrul Smith who DJ'd every event we had on our grid with very few exceptions. He was greatly loved by all of us and will be just as greatly missed. So many of us are stunned by this news but we pray for his family and friends that they may find comfort and peace. Maldrul was a dear, sweet soul who always found a way to cheer people up and was loyal to his friends. I just cannot say enough good about him.

Our wonderful friend and amazing DJ-Maldrul Smith has passed away IRL. With heavy hearts, we are sharing that George passed away on June 25, 2026, at 2:05 p.m. CST.
George was a loving father, devoted husband, proud Air Force veteran, and a strong provider and protector for his family. He had a deep love for technology and computer science, and he shared that knowledge and curiosity with his daughters throughout their lives.
While our family is grieving this heartbreaking loss, we find comfort in knowing that George is now reunited with his beloved wife, Charlotte. They were married for 51 years and are now together in eternity.
Thank you to everyone who loved George, shared memories with him, and supported our family. Your prayers, kindness, and words of comfort mean so much during this difficult time. HOW I MAKE VISUAL SHOWS TUTORIAL

I was asked many times about how I create the visual shows such as the ones I made for HIE, just yesterday, the talented artist Tina Bey asked me to explain my process to her. So I decided to create a tutorial in spanish for her, but I quickly realized that this work should benefit more people; with this in mind, I created the English and French versions.

AnatoBotanica is the name of the current sculpture collection I am doing IRL under MVN name, my initials.


Inspired by the connection (and the lack of connection) of human being in its environment, the nature.
Made of organic shapes, hybrid creatures comes to life with the use of moss and a lot of gold paint on PLA which is a bioplastic, sometimes clay and paper are added for the finest parts.

To introduce this new art form I am experiencing in opensim, I chose to show a glitched version of the real space I work from, my home.

My home is my shelter, but also my workshop.
The stones of the walls, the plants and animals living in the garden, are themselves an inspiration. Observing birds, bees and butterfly, listening to their songs, watching these creatures feeding from flowers, those simple « little things of life » are deeply touching my soul and question my own place in this world.

Opensimworld.com is a great way to promote all the wonderful creations we can find in different grids and I think this is the purpose of this website. Promoting creativity, giving people the ability to explore and see what others create. This is why Im sponsoring this website with advertisements and announcements. Lately I observe this place is filled with comments of personal kind , ( some would call it drama ). I am sure the majority here visiting this website for the same reason as I do are not happy with the continuously posted remarks of personal kind ( and disrespectful) .
