Phantom Rose friends... The grid is going to be down until Feb. I am traveling on a "once in a life time" trip with my husband. I am beyond excited. Since I host my own server, I have to shut down. Being out of the country for that long, there is no way for me to keep Phantom Rose safe and healthy. When I travel in the US, I am able to use my remote link to do many things, but for safety, I have decided to shut down the grid for the duration of my travels. I assure you, Phantom Rose WILL be back! Hopefully, better than ever. I have been running 24/7 since 2019 and I am looking forward to another 5 years in the Opensim Metaverse! Today has been a busy day at the mall as not only have we opened our new Magic Shop, but I got a little creative and made these Owl Lamps. I had gotten a lamp that was labeled "Owl Lamp" it turned out to be a Peregrine Falcon lamp, so I corrected the name on that one and made two, what I think are, really cute owl lamps with my favorite bird perched atop a tree and the moon providing the light. There are two versions, one with the owl facing front, and the other from the side and there are duplicate table versions as well. I have all four of them boxed up and waiting for you in the Living rooms Department in our Furniture section of the mall. We started with our Talenti Double Dark Gelato on top, then created a layer of chocolate cookie chunks, followed by a fudge sauce. Next, we mixed in our Madagascan Vanilla Bean Gelato and finally, a fifth layer of chocolatey waffle cones to add a savory and sweet crunch.

The Grande Phoenix is a reimagined and refined update of an original Moroccan-style build I created for the town of Devil's Fork in the Land of Xzar. I was never fully satisfied with the original, so I recently undertook a complete remodel and am now excited to share it with anyone who’d like to make it their own.

Designed as a charming boutique hotel, the Grande Phoenix features a welcoming lobby with a side bathroom. The lounge is a cozy retreat with a warm fireplace, a stylish bar, and a dance floor for social gatherings. The custom-built kitchen, crafted with full perm capabilities, is ready for anyone who wishes to add their own animations.

Upstairs, you’ll find three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The building comes partially furnished, showcasing custom artwork I created, while leaving plenty of room for you to personalize and decorate to suit your style.

The Grande Phoenix is a versatile addition to any town or region, but of course, it’s yours to use however you wish. With full permissions, it’s designed for flexibility and creativity. I hope it brings you as much enjoyment as I’ve had in crafting it.

The exhibit will open on Sunday, September 29, starting at noon grid time, featuring the vibrant and gorgeous Rogue Galaxy, followed by the beautiful Forest Azure at 1 PM. We had a third performer scheduled, but they can’t make it. If anyone is interested in filling that slot, either as a singer or DJ, please reach out to me.

Also opening is a collaborative exhibit by visual artist Cherry Manga and audio artist Nico Kalani on the Special Projects region, connected to the gallery. You can walk over or take a raft to explore their work.

At Le Beau Retrouvé, one of our goals is to bring the community together to appreciate and create art in Open Sim. We believe in supporting all artists, whether you're well-established or just starting out. Your work will always be handled with respect and displayed to its best advantage.

Last night, I was consumed by a dark dream. I found myself in a dreamscape of a desert plateau, unsure how I arrived.

I was confronted by swirling fog and spirits, as well as a dark figure with a glowing orb. Initially, I was filled with trepidation and the beginnings of true fear; but in the back of my extradimensional consciousness, I sensed that the figure offered not fear. Instead, it was an invitation to a dark and fantastic journey, should I have the courage to embark on it.

I gazed about me and saw a pale horse with a rider. I saw three other horseman, poised above me. Were these the four horsemen I read about in other spiritual guides, harbingers of a coming Apocalypse?

My deeper instincts told me "no" - these horsemen were pleasure, pain, ecstasy. The pale horse was la petit mort, a small death to be sure, but one from which I would resurrect.

This is not the Apocalypse we know of, but one of social norms and constructs and other inhibitions.

Shall I resist this journey?

Important announcement:

I have updated all my Clutterfly Upgraded and Clutterflakes boxes. All furniture uses the recent SFposer version 0.91112 now.

This includes a number of bugfixes:

The Clutterflakes cuddle lounge chairs had all animations wrongly oriented because I had put them directly into the furniture instead of taking over the animation cube.

The Christmas firepit set had the animations wrongly oriented in one tree stump with blanket because I've discovered that one of them has the stump as the root, the other one has the blanket as the root.

So far, I have replaced all boxes in the DropBox in OSgrid:

I just finished this build and while it was intended to be a sort of a temple it ended up being something that can be used for anything. It could be an archive, a library, a temple, a synagogue, a church, a shop, a warehouse, the possibilities are endless. Barber Shop
The only scripted items are the barber pole, the waiting bench, the curtain, and the door. The barber chair is a BYOA (Bring Your Own Animations) item, but hopefully someone will find this of use.
