Hey everyone! Just a little information update on the GRPG Welcome Center - This location has been specifically developed for folks who are brand new to Open Sim and the Virtual Life and do not have a clue about how to get around and do things in the virtual world that we love, called Open Sim. We have tutorials on how to move and use your camera even information on how to slow down your flying so you don't smash your head on ceilings and trees. We have three large tutorial buildings and the first is how to move and view, the other two are made available after the new comers finish the first tutorial on how to move and view. Those two tutorial buildings are how to build your avatar one building for the ladies and one building for the gentlemen. There will be forth coming tutorials on how to drive a vehicle, ride a raptor (just for fun thank you Ares Halostar) and how to ride a horse. I will be creating and adding "How To" video tutorials on various subjects including how to update your region page on the OSW Directory, how to do your settings in Firestorm (sorry not doing one for Singularity because I don't have it) and all of the videos will be available at the touch of a button in our GRPG Information Center in the GRPG Welcome Center. You will also find a large Teleport Board there that will take you to those regions that we have open for public visitation. Discover the Chapel of Tranquility: Your Sanctuary Awaits

Step into the Chapel of Tranquility, the perfect addition to your town. From the moment you enter, you’ll feel an immediate sense of peace and calm, enveloped by the sacred atmosphere of this serene space.

Unlike a traditional church, which serves as a gathering place for communal worship, a chapel is designed for personal reflection or small, intimate gatherings. Here, you can worship and reflect on your own terms—no need for a pastor or priest. This space is yours to experience in solitude or with a few close companions.

The chapel features a bell tower that chimes on the hour, adding a touch of timeless grace. You can also touch the bell to hear its resonant tone at any time. The benches offer a variety of animations, with two different poses in each of the four benches.

At the altar, you’ll find scripted animations to enhance your worship experience. The Eucharist plate and goblet are also scripted, allowing you to partake in communion with the Body of Christ (wafer) and the Blood of Christ (wine). Simply add either to immerse yourself in this sacred ritual.

To further enrich your experience, a leather-bound Bible, a Hymnal, and altar candles are included. All of these items are neatly boxed and placed beside the altar for your convenience.

The Chapel itself is available in a box located outside the entrance, and arrows on the street will guide you there. While visiting, take a moment to explore the other architectural wonders in the region—all handcrafted over the years and freely available to help you build your sim.

After being asked several times about my Sphynx Animesh cats with cat tree, I have now decided to release them. They can be found in the Yin Yang Town Backup Store region which you can reach via the teleport board on YYT Main. I wish you a lot Fun with the little naked kittens ;-)

The MAGABAGAS intersim maglevs are now rezzed by rezzers available on all INTERSIM AREAS in all regions(but the sandbox).

01- Click the rezzer;
02 - Once maglev shows up, take a seat;
03- Wait for 10 seconds and maglev will start run automatically, crossing allover the eight (4x4s) regions!! (*)

Avedon Park is happy to announce that (after many noise complaints and much rowdy behavior) The Back Cat Radio Station has been moved to Avedon South! Come by and check out the new radio station and the new Good Sounds Music Park, a music festival ground that would make the folks at Woodstock blush. You can access the station and festival grounds by either TP or boat. Grab a free radio at the radio station and swimming and overnight camping is welcome at the park. This first set includes dark and light models. In addition to the clock hands moving, a certain *ahem* something ticks away the time for you. Click to adjust the time difference and try to enjoy, just not too much.

It has come to my attention that as of late, the metaverse is just packed with more and more people. Everywhere I go, I meet people. It's getting hard to find an empty sim anymore. People are packed into dance parties like beans stuffed in a fat burrito, so tightly you can barely move for all the lag. Everywhere you look more and more people are signing up every day. The numbers show it, and numbers don't lie. The reason for this is very simple. People are tired of paying for secondLife now that you can get the same quality or better here. People are tired of advertising sign packed regions of secondLife and come here initially as a camping trip, only deciding to build a cabin and live by the lake. It's amazing! Everywhere you look new people. I bet every time I go out I make new friends and meet new peoople! :)

After spending most of the day working with it, we won't be doing the Dreamgrid Smart Start after all.

After crashing repeatedly with three different versions of Firestorm, and finding with no Smart Start the crashes ended - as well as the very large and heavy regions we have not loading as they need to -- it's just not working for us. It's a great concept, however. With a pretty powerful dedicated 64 gig Server we should be okay.

I think this works well for some grids and not for others, depending on what has to be loaded in etc etc.
