The Majestic Entertainment Complex is now ready at my store Lunaria Emporium on Wolf Territories Grid. Outside of my home region of Luxor, this is the most ambitious venue I've made so far, and I've tried to put a lot of detail and value into the build.

There are two versions available: 1 - A Venue-Only version that includes the building itself, and 2 - a Full DIY version that includes the entrance pool area, trees, searchlights, one each of the furniture sets, and all the artwork. Everything is modify / copy. Eventually there will be a full rezzer version that will place out everything as it's set now.

Important Note: The scripts used to run the movie screen only work on Wolf territories Grid and are not included with the sale versions. The build is modify, so you can add your own to the build if you like.

I have tried to tell people that our mall is a little different; but tonight I want to show you one of our best selling products - the amazing horses from my friend Roland Francis.

Most of you know about Roland and his horses....but I am going to brag anyways. I used to raise horses in SL. You dont even want to know how much I spent on food.....and then the horses were not naturally grazing. If you found ones that were...you could not ride them. I have tried every horse I found in Second Life and Opensim, and I honestly believe Roland's horses offer the best ride and most realistic animations.

So....you might ask...what does this have to do with a mall? We are honored to be able to offer Rolands horses to you here at Friends Mall and I have built a special path to let you try them. Ride over the mountains...past the pond...and the long oceanside trail....and I am sure you will fall in love with these horses.

To all the folks who hope to create RP sims sadly in Opensims they don't work. RP should be a large group effort. Opensims just don't have enough people, Unlike SL where there is 1000's online at any given day. At the end of the day we create/build for ourselves which isn't a bad thing.

My latest memorial is a very very special one. It is a memorial for my mother, a victim of cancer at the age of 50. She taught me so much of how to be a decent human being and to respect others. It took a woman like her to raise a kid like me and I'm grateful to God that she was my mother. She wasn't perfect by a long shot, but she was the perfect mom for me. So I wanted to have a memorial for her in the Park for Mother's day. If you have a loved one you would like to have memorialized in the Haven of Memories, just let me know, we can discuss the particulars and there is no charge, it's a free service because I care. This site is monetized. People buy coins to post on the mainpage using RL money. People can choose to do paid ads to showcase their regions and content. People also pay for premium memberships to have extra features. But the moderation is next to nil. Yes, a recent troll was FINALLY removed after DAYS of toxic barrage. But it took way too long. And while the account was removed, the box was not cleared of their comments.

Yes we can block people. But since griefers and trolls make countless alts it's a constant issue. If you're making money off a site, it needs to be moderated. The site owner and manager needs to try to ensure that users have a good or bare minimum usable experience.

And while I recognize that one person may not be able to manage it all, there's been no effort to recruit other moderators. And I do think any potential new moderators should be paid for their time and effort. After all, the site makes money off the many users who pay into it.

It's feeling pretty frustrating and futile right now. This can be a great tool to connect with other OpenSim folks. And it's a great way to see what people are building and find new regions. For the folks who like parties, they can see events. But yeah it's been more irritation than joy lately.

An easier way to update dreamgrid...
1.) Copy the entire dreamgrid folder.
2.) Rename the copy to whatever version of dreamgrid is inside it like this as a folder name ---> DreamGrid v. 5.24
3.) Name the other original copy "DreamGrid Production"
4.) Download and unzip the latest dreamgrid into the folder named "DreamGrid Production"
This way if there is ever a problem You can easily delete the current DreamGrid - Production folder, and then rename the last running copy to DreamGrid - Production. This way you will always have a running production environment with several backups of different versions of good grid environments.
Why you ask? Because if a bug bubbles up through the code, you may wish you could just delete the latest beta and just go back to the latest one that was running fine. This technique can save you hours of pain. I suggest you try it.

HOW TO USE THE MAINFRAME.
Download the free program wc3270 for windows. Install it. Set up a connection to cyberdatastorm.com:3270. Your logon ID & PASSWORD will be USER100 & PIZZA OR USER101 & TACOS . You will have access too JCL, COBOL, ASSEMBLY, C++, REXX, and will be able to use the SYSDUMPs. You will be on sysplex1 with full access to 3380, 3390, and 3350 DASD. You will also have access to IBM 3420 TAPE Unit. You can explore what a mainframe operating system is like and how it is different from personal computers. Obviously you will not have access to TOP SECRET or RACF. I often say that anyone can learn PC stuff (personal computers) like Linux, Windows, or Apple OSX by reading just 1 thick 2000 page book. But for the mainframe you need to read about 200-300 of those thick 2000 page books. It is way more complicated. There are 5 mainframe operating systems: IBM Unix called AIX, IBM vm/cms, IBM os/400, Digital Equipment Corp VMS, and the Zos family. This mainframe you are logging into is in the Zos family. It does support full ISPF/TSO and CDC's (cataloged datasets). You will not have access to easytrieve, expediter, endeavour, and CICS.

This amazing new product lets you drop in an item of clothing, and a picture of that clothing (or shoes, or hair) and click through the items in your closet. Teleporting Issues?

I just became aware of a major flaw with firestorm and the solution that is on the Firestorm download page. I have been unable to TP unless I relog for last 3 days. After much research I realized this was a Firestorm SLURL issue.

Go to the firestorm download page and you will see the above information.

I have not changed my viewer settings or added any new viewers; but it appears some upgrade (probably windows) caused the SLURL function in Firestorm to no longer work properly.

As I follow up....I am teleporting perfectly now after installing this.

What is this ?
SLURL Proxy is an application that will handle SLURLs on your Windows system. Clicking a SLURL on the web,
will open SLURL proxy, which will forward the SLURL to the viewer you have chosen.

Why is that interesting ?
Various Second Life viewers you might, or may already have installed, modify the way SLURLs are handled on your system,
and often cause problems when you uninstall certain viewers.

SLURL Proxy provides a user friendly way to correct this.

Upon start up, SLURL Proxy will check to see if it's the default SLURL handler.
If it is not, it will inform you about that, and ask you if you'd like to use SLURL Proxy as default instead.

When you have set SLURL Proxy as default,(or even before that) you can simply drag one or more viewer shortcuts onto the application window,
and they should be listed with viewer name, and icon.

SLURL Proxy allows you to add several viewers, and one always needs to be the default viewer to use.
The default viewer is the one where the checkbox is checked.
If you would like to change the default viewer, simply click the viewer of your choice in the list.

That's it.

If you wish to set a viewer as default SLURL handler instead of SLURL proxy, then you simply need to click
Set other SLURL handler in the menu, and drag the shortcut of your favourite viewer onto the window.

Requires .NET 3.5 and only runs on Windows
