Die Geschichte von The Cure begann nicht als solche, sondern unter dem Namen Malice, eine Band, die 1976 von einigen Schulfreunden in Crawley im Süden Englands gegründet wurde. Im Zentrum stand dabei stets der junge Robert Smith, der von Anfang an eine zentrale Rolle einnahm. Die erste Inkarnation der Band, zu der auch die Gründungsmitglieder Lol Tolhurst am Schlagzeug und Michael Dempsey am Bass gehörten, probte Songs von Künstlern, die sie inspirierten. Robert Smith hatte schon als Kind Klavierunterricht und entstammte einer musikalischen Familie, in der sein Vater sang und seine Mutter Klavier spielte. Früh entwickelte er eine Faszination für Musik, die weit über das Mainstream-Angebot hinausging. Ein entscheidender Moment in seiner Jugend war, als er David Bowie mit „Starman“ im Fernsehen sah. Dieses Erlebnis prägte ihn tief und weckte seine kreative Ader.

Just wanted to post something/my thoughts regarding all the recent chat about DJ's.

First off, yes I could DJ my own events but after being a real life DJ for 8 years and a few years online i would prefer to enjoy the party's.

I dont have a set rule when it comes to DJ'S aside from specific genera's depending on the event. I let the DJ pick the songs.

Any DJ is welcome to DJ in my grid

I dont have issues with any DJ unless there a no show ( I have had that experience) (also do take into consideration rl)

If they also DJ in other clubs that's cool too, you cant always expect a DJ to be exclusive to one club or grid.

Also there are two sides to every story, unless there is proof and I have heard the other side, any messages trashing other DJ'S will be just hear say.

I am always always looking DJ'S, hard to find them in Opensim, some already have gigs and no more time for more. I have had great ones but they have grids of there own and i dont want to bother them too much.

Eventually i may have one in my grid but until then I am always looking for DJ'S.

So about all this theft of stolen goods ... I have rebuilt regions from my saved oars, and in the process inadvertently losing the original creator (uploader ... thief? ) information, so now my name appears as creator. My stuff is mostly free to copy but I don't run a store or offer support. I don't even remember where in the hypergrid most of it came from. While I apologize to those who did the hard work ripping and fixing , at the same time I am grateful to be able to tweak and modify, share and transfer to my hearts content. This is why i am in opensim.

I run a successful business in SL, and have seen some of my created goods from SL appearing in here. So what - I.m not losing sales by being ripped, nor is anyone making money in here with my stolen creations. I realize the fuss in here is about Fame (since money has little meaning in opensim) so this is my disclaimer. Sorry if my name appears on 'your' stuff.

The novel centers on Jackson Oz, an outcast among professional and academic ecologists and biologists. Oz has tried for years to get other scientists to listen to the data he has collected on the increasing number of mammal attacks on humans. He becomes so obsessed with this goal that he quits graduate school and devotes himself to full-time data collection and arguing his case. Finally, on a trip to Botswana, he survives an attack by a large band of male lions in which about 100 people are killed over a large area. He saves the life of ecologist Chloe Tousignant. Upon returning to America, he finds his girlfriend dead in his apartment, killed and partly eaten by his pet chimpanzee.

Five years later, Oz has married Chloe and they have a son named Eli. His theory becomes accepted, as all over the world, packs of animals are entering densely populated cities and killing humans en masse. He is recruited by the US president to research the cause, but before he and his team of scientists can find an answer, the president's daughter is killed by their dog, and the military launches strikes against affected cities, which worsens the attacks. Continuing his research, Oz discovers that animal pheromones have changed due to the widespread use of radio communication (cell phones) and petroleum products (notably automobile exhaust), and these disrupted pheromones are enlarging the animals' amygdalas and causing the aggression. The US president orders all electricity, cellphone, and automobile usage banned for two weeks, and animal attacks cease nearly immediately as the ban takes effect. But after one week, people return to their previous habits, and the attacks restart with increased ferocity. Oz, his wife and son, along with some scientists and political leaders, are evacuated to Thule, Greenland, where research into how to reverse the changes will take place.
