In the 7th grade, in physical science class, I got a hard paddling with a wooden paddle with holes in it. Our physical science teacher had just explained that the universe was created by a big bang. I asked if God created the big bang. I was the only one in class with a question weighing heavily on my heart as my parents had raised me in church, and my belief was in direct conflict with what the teacher was saying. I was not rude, I didn't ask with a smirk on my face, or with ill intent. I asked as a question of curiosity. I was beaten so hard that I cried - in the 7th grade. I still wonder and marvel at the origin of the universe, often reflecting about it in my mind. Scientists thought all the stars in the universe would be pulled back together into a ball every so often, and tremendous forces would cause it to explode apart again. This way the universe was forever a constantly repeating explosion and contraction that had always been this way. Around 2017 the greatest minds in the world decided after analyzing their collected data that the universe does not go back together in a "big crunch" after the "big bang" but that it is expanding forever. Scientists then decided that to explain the big bang that the universe was empty, but b/c it was so empty the possibility for matter to exist was very high, so all the matter in the universe created itself out of nothing... That's the current theory of the creation of the universe. It just appeared out of "thin air" so to speak... I call that magic, and I am aware of the famous saying that "All significantly advanced technology will appear as magic to primitive people". In some ways the bible and science are similiar. Science says in the beginning was a tiny spark of light that exploded into all matter and all things. The bible says in the beginning God said "Let there be light..." Religion is often the way of primitive people to explain the world around them, and where you are born in the world can largely determine what you believe. I have a book that lists over 4,327 Gods and Goddesses in the world, each bound to the geographic area of their worshippers, except where the boundaries move due to war, or evangelism. That's not counting the over 2,000,000 hindu indian gods, they have a new one every so many months, e.g. a person born with a long tail. We are biological entities in a physical universe. Lifeforms, but we are also very special, we are gifted with knowledge & wisdom, and with knowledge comes the knowing of right & wrong. It's the same in most all religions, but here again opinions vary, and that's ok. We are all entitled to our own opinion. Because nobody knows for sure, if there's a God, if there's a krishna, ra, zeus, odin, big bang theory, etc. It's ALL a belief. The evidence seems to favor a big bang theory, and scientists looking up say everything is flying apart which supports the explosion idea. When I look up at night, I see stars that swirl imperceptibly slowly in the celestial realm. I know that more people have been killed in religious wars, than in all world wars combined. I know earth is a small blue ball of water, precariously suspended near a giant fireball. Last night I didn't sleep. I had been sick for days with a cold, and was literally up all night scripting things to help people as many people come to me all the time asking for help scripting something. At 5:30 am eastern standard time, I woke my partner and drove him to the hospital in the dark for colon cancer surgery. It was raining, the windows fogged up. The hospital was more like a sprawling university campus of buildings. There were no signs, and finding the right building involved parking in various parking lots walking a quarter mile to a building in the pouring rain, only to find we were at the wrong building yet again. My glasses were covered on the inside by rain, as I had forgotten my umbrella. I could not see clearly, and had nothing dry to wipe them with. Frustrations ran high as we had made it to the hospital at 6:30 am after a long drive on the interstate. We walked around the hospital in the cold rain for 50 minutes. It was 7:20 am and his surgery was supposed to start at 6:45. Headlights cutting us off on the campus and cars blocking the path to the next building. My partner started yelling and cursing at me. I started yelling and cursing back. Finally I just stopped and said "God please help me."

My build from the weekend, it's called Kippah Romantica which translated means, Dome of Romance. The first level has a swimming pool with plenty of room for poolside tables and chairs and maybe a bar. Second floor has plenty of room for a dance area. Some folks wonder why I don't decorate the builds more, well....I think people like to decorate their own to their own tastes and they can take great personal pride in that. So this is full perm and free and waiting to decorate your region. It is partial mesh to reduce the overall prims. Pick one up and have fun with it. Blessings and much love, Lavia.

For some, it seems to be sometime tougher to be kind behind pixels. Our values and standards should not change, just because there isn't an immediate and apparent accountability to what we do or say. Be kind.

So there was some bugs in the magic huds that prevented them from working on some simulator versions. I believe I have fixed these issues. The huds I've been able to update so far are: The Witches Hud, The Fae Hud, The Elven Hud. If you encounter any problems with these 3 huds at all, please send me a message on here, and I will fix them. I have not yet fixed the vampires magic ring or the wizardry hud, but will get around to it sometime this week as I have been very sick the past 4 days, and have a lot going on in real life.

My thoughts went to Skuld, my stray cat whom I miss so much and always will love dearly.

One night in early Second Life, two shy and misplaced souls met outside a strip club. We were too scared to go inside.

We said hi and became friends. Skuld moved from her cardboard box to a Romanian cottage in early Caribou. She found Ariadna, a sweet girl from Romania. They became inseparable.

I was alone. I had lost my SL friend and daughter. Little was weak after a car accident and joined the real angels too soon.

The Mama in me had nobody to take care of.

I got caught by the club and sex scene. A Mistress picked me up and set me dancing on a pole.

Night after night I danced in a quiet club, afraid of losing my life again.

Mostly I was alone. Sometimes someone came. Most had no Linden Dollars.

The Mama in me felt sorry and ended up helping them with a few.

Once a small stocky black cat came in. She just sat there, looking quietly at me.

“Jeanne, friends are the most important thing that we have. Don’t lose us. Come home.”

My stray cat Skuld woke me up. I went back home to Caribou, to Skuld and Ariadna and Kallu and Diana. I was with my friends.

“Could this happen today”, I think Monkey asked.

Yes Monkey. It did. I slipped once again, much later, when I was alone again.

I was helped back by friends who cared.

I am still grateful. Always and forever.

[About Chelsea’s Point]
Chelsea’s Point is the [work-in-progress] result of the Darkheart’s Playground vision on a VIP residential home region, and Brandy Darkheart’s aim to offer a high-end designed home option.
It is also the labour of creativity and love (and frustration!) of Anael Starchild, who crystallises this vision in a residential region with furnished homes with fully landscaped surrounds.
[What is different about Chelsea’s Point?]
Darkheart’s Playground already offer free land to all grid member, and parcels with higher prim allowance to VIP members who support the grid through its Patreon tiers.
Many of us do however come from virtual worlds where there are designer homes and parcels for those who want the perks of a fully furnished home integrated into a landscape, without having to go through ordeal of landscaping of furnishing it themselves!
People who have been there also know that designer sims or home in other virtual words have a waiting list, and a custom ones goes for around 800$!
Chelsea’s Point offer a holistic cohesive designed blended across each parcel. Each home is fully integrated into the landscape – parcelling only happened AFTER the design was ready.
[Why ‘work-in-progress’?]
The full scope of Chelsea’s Point is a 4x4, that is…16 ‘sims’. While it might not be sound like much in OpenSimulator, the level of detail has been matched to other virtual worlds where the focus is at a ‘sim’ level.
First Phase is now ready, and we wanted to make it available as we continue landscaping the rest of the region.
[How can I rent a home?]
Any DH VIP member can rent a home at Chelsea’s Point – check out our tiers at Patreon! Once subscribed, please contact @Anael Starchild in-world.
For the initial first 2 weeks VIPs who do not own a residential region (i.e. tiers of 5$ or 10$) will take priority – this is to ensure that we priorities members who might subscribe for access to them.
[What are the ‘specs’ of the homes?]
Each home is decorated differently, while keeping the overall design of the region and it surroundings. As such the parcels might vary.
[What are the particular conditions?]
Homes are rented AS IS: i.e. With everything that is included. New furniture can be added indoors, or outdoors if it doesn’t conflict with the overall design of the region. Pre-existing furniture might be replaced via contact with Anael Starchild (this is to ensure that the home can be ‘brought back’ to its original design if rental expires, and new renters can enjoy it ‘as it was’)
Rental doesn’t need to be renewed – it lasts for as long as the VIP subscription does.
Skyboxes are allowed, at a reasonable height (above 2,500 meters).
All renters, and other VIP member, can enjoy the ‘Chelsea’s Point Commons’open area.
[Next design steps]
