Ages ago, I satirized events in SL like "Best in Bikini" and "Best in Cute" with my “Best In Demo” event. SL Creators used demo tags and took other such measures to prevent people from using a free version as a final, permanent piece. So, imagine your Avatar using a pre-mesh no-mod shape from a shop with demo sized huge hands and feet. You'd be wearing flexihair with demo signs attached. Add on a skin extensively tattooed with “demo,” and wearing clothing with the word demo woven into the texture. You'd have a nightmare of an avatar – and one that might win the “Best In Demo” event. The prize? A demo version of a trophy.

The event was hilarious, and so popular that other clubs copied the idea. You can say my “Best in Demo” event was a demo for Best In Demo events.Then came OS. Sadly, there are no demos here, and so, no Best In Demo events either. But there are other fun event ideas. Consider “Best In Complexity”. Poppies to commemorate and honour Indigenous Veterans Day (November 8) and Remembrance Day/Veterans Day/Armistice Day (Nov 11). Touch for a poppy from either box giver in the Municipal Building on Birch Grove Winter. Lest we forget.

Hello friends. It's done. The first thing to open on the main island is the garden centre. There are hundreds of plants, from flower pots to giant palm trees. All plants on the island are available for purchase (right-click).
Later, the beach shop will open, followed by the DIY store. Then, with this start-up aid, all owners of a new island should be able to quickly begin building.

Decided to fully reorganize the Entertainment and Art Deco Venue display areas and add streets and sidewalks. But of course such a classic area also needs classic automobiles. I've added a handful of classic cars on the streets. All are PBR, full perm, unscripted, and free to take. I'll add more as I go along.

The entire area is a great backdrop for photos as well. A PBR viewer works for best results, and make sure to activate shared environment.
