I have fallen far behind in my care and feeding of the now robust What Are You Looking For group. I'm making up for that by posting to the front page a list of our recent helpers that I would usually post in the group. My point in doing this is to let people know that their help will be acknowledged. I'm several months behind in doing this, so, for now, this is a list of our helpers in the past 2 months. I've also included info about them. If it's about their region, I've provided a region address. Go visit and know that they are nice people. If it's info about their interests and such, you might seek them out if you have a mutual interest, or use it as a conversation starter if you see them at an event. You will recognize them as they have avatars that look like the people in that charming picture of helpers. (Or maybe not. Ya, probably not.) EOL for FoTo50's jOpenSim
After almost 15 years, I will no longer continue developing jOpenSim. In this sense, this means that jOpenSim has reached EOL status - at least as far as I am concerned.

The website and the grid jOpenSimWorld will stay up for the next months to get at least a communication possibility via forum or inworld.

This was not an easy decision for me, but it is certainly time for me to step back and perhaps make way for others with more energy.

The Amazing Device. Have you ever backed up oars for a long period of time, lost several of the original, but hey that's ok! You've got the more recent ones! But then you discover a horrible secret. When you move an item, the exact same item is still in the same spot, so you move that one, and Lo and behold, another one? I recently found that my hallmark sim known as DragonFyre had 3 copies of every object in the exact same spot. Like I had loaded an oar 3 times. Only the problem was, I hadn't done that. I had loaded one oar. The problem is that at some point long ago I must have loaded the oar on top of itself multiple times SOMEHOW....??? So now how to fix it? I've got 3 copies of every item on this sim in the exact same spot. And every oar I've saved for over 3 years has this exact same problem. So I created the amazing device. All you do is enable console commands in osslenable (for region god only). Then put this script in a box and let it run. Over time the box will move all around your sim finding those duplicated items and remove them leaving just 1 original in that exact spot. So your sim still looks the same but now there is only one copy of the item in that spot instead of 2 or more... Here's the script:
