Die B-52’s: Eine detaillierte Biografie
Die B-52’s, eine Band, deren Name sofort Bilder von hochgetürmten Frisuren und unkonventionellen Tanz-Rock-Hymnen heraufbeschwört, fanden ihren Ursprung im Jahr 1976 in der pulsierenden Musikszene von Athens, Georgia. Alles begann mit einer zufälligen Jam-Session nach einem Abendessen in einem chinesischen Restaurant, an der sich die Gründungsmitglieder Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson und Keith Strickland beteiligten. Die B-52’s, eine Band, deren Name sofort Bilder von hochgetürmten Frisuren und unkonventionellen Tanz-Rock-Hymnen heraufbeschwört, fanden ihren Ursprung im Jahr 1976 in der pulsierenden Musikszene von Athens, Georgia. Alles begann mit einer zufälligen Jam-Session nach einem Abendessen in einem chinesischen Restaurant, an der sich die Gründungsmitglieder Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson und Keith Strickland beteiligten. Diese spontane Zusammenkunft legte den Grundstein für eine musikalische Reise, die Genregrenzen überschreiten und weltweit Millionen von Fans begeistern sollte.
