Die deutsche Band CAN, 1968 in KĂśln gegrĂźndet, war weit mehr als nur eine Musikgruppe; sie war eine selbsternannte âanarchistische Gemeinschaftâ, deren Einfluss die Musiklandschaft nachhaltig prägen sollte.
Ihre Methode, Musik durch kollektive Improvisation und akribische Nachbearbeitung im Studio zu erschaffen,
war revolutionär und zog Parallelen zur Arbeit von Avantgarde-Komponisten wie Karlheinz Stockhausen, bei dem zwei der Grßndungsmitglieder studiert hatten.
