For this post, Iâm breaking my long-standing code to speak only in Morse code. Is anyone aware of the OWS forums? Is anyone reading them? Is anyone making legitimate use of them? I have an idea about how to clean up the front page Box using the General Forum. That will be a follow-up post. But first, here is what you will find in OSW Forums.
General â Being used primarily by one user for posts about general stuff it seems.
Help â Posts from people who are actually looking for help. Yippy!
* OpenSim â Being used for event announcements that will never been seen, and by people who wonât pay and support the site by making event announcements on the front page. Things went bad in the forum in the last year. Before then, there were legit posts. The only legit, non-event promoting, post in the last year was about "Age Verification strategies for OpenSimulator and the HG." As an aside, have you met people with profiles that say they are Age Verified. How, exactly?
* SatyrFarms â Now this is a weird one. Spammed by https://opensimworld.com/user/musajackson4 to promote himself as a Witchcraft Zoodoo Black Magic Spell Caster. People complain that Satyr doesnât moderate OSW enough in general, but he hasnât cleaned up spam in his own forum for almost 12 weeks. But OWS is largely a labor of love, so give the guy a break â especially if you donât pay to support the site. But maybe Musajackson4 can cast a Troll-Be-Gone Spell? Nah.
* News â Well, this will not be news. Being used for event announcements that will never been seen, and by people who wonât pay and support the site by making event announcements on the front page. Seeing a pattern here. Deadbeats abound. However, there was a post saying "Wish the news was actually just news, not just advertising drowning out all the bits of news we have".
Technology -- posts from people who are actually looking for help with technology issues. Well done!
* Gaming â see the comment about the *OpenSim, and *News Forums. But there is some good news, I guess. Other than two posts this year, all of the posts are older than one year. Perhaps they realized that their event posts were not being seen?

âIt would be great to have specific advertising and events form sections. It might (but we can't guarantee) prevent/reduce the instance of people posting their new product or party everywhere elseâ. +
There is a forum of sorts for event announcements. Itâs call the Front Page. There is a forum for advertising also. Itâs called paying for ads. Other than 2 recent posts with genuine feedback, the last authentic feedback was posted 2 years ago. So, being used legitimately, but not being used.
There is no way to clean up the forums. But Iâm thinking the General Forum can be used, legitimately, as a way to clean up the Box. Details to come.

This is my version of the BFE Darien Gag-C v3.0 Ba. When attached, it mutes IM's and local. There is no key to take and the menu is non-functional. When detached everything is restored.
There is also an automatic mouth-open pose so it looks correct when worn. If you attach it yourself from your inventory, you can detach (it's not locked on). If you put this in your #RLV folder (create a subfolder under #RLV named "gag") then you can be permantly muted by your Mistress. Quick and easy attach and shutup.

The Haunted Halloween Isles are a series of islands created by Zuzu Bahro, Queila Hendel, Even Dymas and Safine Mahoe for your Halloween fun! If you do not like Horror, visit the Pumpkin Patch for Autumn colors and endless fun!
As you set foot onto the Haunted Halloween Isles, an unnatural chill coils around your spine like a ghostly serpent. The wind is sharp, laced with whispersâfragments of forgotten souls murmuring secrets from beyond the grave. Fog crawls low across the ground, wrapping around your ankles like clawed fingers. Somewhere in the distance, a bell tolls once... then falls silent. Your journey begins at the desolate ruins of the Zombie Hunt.
Once a forgotten outpost, now a cursed graveyard of civilization, this skeletal city groans with the echoes of dark resurrection. The dead have returnedâbut not as the mindless, staggering husks you remember. These zombies remember.
Eyes flicker with recognition. They watch. They wait. They plan. Gone are the days of blind hunger. These reanimated horrors stalk the living like predators, their movements calculated, deliberateâa mockery of life, with the cunning of the grave.
Ash clings to the air, thick and acrid, as if the world itself were still smoldering from an ancient fire. The ground beneath your boots crunchesânot with leaves, but with the brittle remains of the fallen. Bones. Skulls. Forgotten toys.
Every shadow is a potential grave. Every whisper might be your name.
This year, the hunters have become the hunted.
The ruins stretch before you, a labyrinth of sorrow and silence, the moon casting broken reflections in shards of shattered glass. Kaze has changed names and has expanded. It is now Kaze no Chiiki and has been designed on a 2x2 with VivoSim, drive-able vehicles, 10 areas to explore and more. This is a work in progress, but open to all. In time there will be shops (freebies, Japanese style furniture, decor, etc), VivoSim Japanese expansions and more. Don't forget to stop in the shop at the landing and get your free Kimono (female only right now) and become part of the region!
