Promote Your Shop In Our Group
With 151 members, the "What Are You Looking For?" group is the largest and most active in OSW. As you might expect, there are more people looking for stuff than there are people helping them find it. We have a relatively small core group of people helping people find what they are looking for. And when these dedicated helpers do that, they are promoting your shop, if you have one, as a place to get that stuff.

So, if you have a shop, consider being a helper in the "What Are You Looking For?" group. You'd be promoting your shop as a place to find stuff people are looking for. Not that I'm asking for you to spam the group by advertising your shop in a way that is unrelated to a specific request. What I am suggesting is that you take a look at the posts in the "What Are You Looking For?" group whenever you are on OSW. See if you can help someone find the specific thing they are looking for. And, in the spirit of "sharing is caring", you can also help people find stuff in other shops if you don't have it. That's going to earn you double plus bonus points.

If you are already a helper in the "What Are You Looking For?" group, thank you. And if you are not? Well, that's just plain silly. Join us. Be a helper. If you can answer someone's request by directing them to your shop... Well, that's a big plus for everyone.

The Lost Boys of Shelly Island

Eine Insel irgendwo im Bermuda-Dreieck. Einige Schiffe und Flugzeuge sind hier bereits abgestürzt und die Überlebenden haben sich auf eine einsame Insel gerettet.

Shell Island wurde diese Insel getauft.

Alles, was zum Überleben auf der Insel genutzt werden konnte, wurde aus den Wracks gerettet und auf die Insel geschafft.

Hier angekommen, heißt es überleben und den Tag im Sinne der Community gestalten.
Neben den Aufgaben auf der Farm, im Shelly Beach Club und den anderen Möglichkeiten bietet Community auch allen interessierten Männern, die Möglichkeit, ein kleines Stück Land zu mieten.

Auch wenn alle glücklich sind, dass sie ein Stück im Paradies gefunden haben, gibt es ein paar kleine Probleme:

Aufgrund der Knappheit an Stoffen sind max. Lendenschurz möglich oder man lebt unbekleidet auf der Insel. Ein weiteres Mysterium der Insel liegt darin, dass Frauen, aus nicht geklärter Ursache, binnen 24 Stunden verschwinden.

🎉 Integration between OpenSim NewLifeItaly Grid and Hexivia Videochat: real-time IM messages!
A bridge between metaverse and web in real time.
The Hexivia platform has recently completed an advanced integration with the OpenSim NewLifeItaly grid, allowing the sending of IM (Instant Message) messages directly from the web videochat to the avatars present in the grid.
This feature, developed internally by the Hexivia team, opens new possibilities for synchronous communication between users connected via browser and users present in the virtual world.
🔧 How does it work?
Users connected to the Hexivia videochat can see who is currently online in the grid (NewLifeItaly).
It is possible to send private messages (IM) to those avatars with a simple click.
The system routes the messages in real time to the script resident in the grid, which receives via HTTP and forwards the IM to the specific user.
Everything happens with an elegant interface, directly integrated into the videochat experience, without the need for external software or additional logins.
🔐 Security and privacy
Messages are securely forwarded through authenticated HTTP endpoints.
The sender's name is included to ensure transparency in communication.
Messages are logged server-side for internal audits (optional).
🌍 Why it's important
This integration represents a step forward in interoperability between web platforms and decentralized metaverses. Connecting web users to those in OpenSim (without requiring client viewers) opens up scenarios:

The entire integration was designed and developed by Hexivia, the same team that manages and develops the videochat platform.
With attention to technical details, performance and usability, the system is designed to be scalable, extensible and ready for future evolutions (such as two-way notifications, avatar presence, etc.).
