I build this for a friend, a tree hut with a deck and a log bridge in between. It is not yet available at the mall but will be soon enough. It is small though the tree is big and the deck is a good size for dances and such. Access from the ground is via a teleporter. Invitation to the information evening for the big Pangea go-kart race on October 13th

Dear go-kart friends,

we cordially invite you to an information evening on August 9th between 11:00 am. and 1:00 p.m. (PDT) The focus of this evening is the planning and organization of our upcoming birthday go-kart race, which will take place on October 13th.

Details of the information evening:

Date: August 9th
Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (PDT)
Host: Karsten Runningbear
Karsten Runningbear has created the scripts for the event and will provide you with important information. This is the perfect opportunity to clarify any open questions and find out more about the race, the race track and the conditions of participation.

Why is your participation in the information evening important?

Your participation in the information evening is particularly important because we will discuss all the details for participation there to ensure that you are well prepared. The conditions of participation are also explained in a way that is easy to understand for each participant. Here are some of the most important points that we will discuss:

Number of participants:

1. Each participating grid has the opportunity to register 2 participants for the go-kart race.

Registration deadline: The registration deadline for participation in the race is September 15th, midnight grid time.

2. Starting positions: The starting positions for the race are determined through a qualifying and sprint race. The better the placement, the greater the chance of winning.

3. Race duration: The number of laps is 10 - around 18 minutes.

Number of participants per grid: 2 drivers from each grid.

4. Race sequence: If more than 5 grids participate, there will be several races. From these races, the best times will then determine the drivers who will compete for victory in the last lap.

5. Training opportunities: The training area is open to everyone until September 15th (registration deadline). After that, only the registered drivers would train until the event.

Training on the race track has already started and we want to make sure that you get the most out of this preparation.

You will find out everything else at the information evening.

Something wonderful is coming.

The hypergrid never ceases to amaze me. I went shopping over at Nutella tonight on a shopping avie. My main avie has over 120k items in my inventory, so I use other avies to shop. It has become more and more common that when I jump to other grids, all my mesh gets ripped off. I am then a lumpy nekkid system avie with a hairy face. It's not fun for anyone, trust me. To avoid this, I will strip down to a system avie, then use a full body alpha and be invisible. This prevents the embarrassment, potential maturity rating violations, excessive shopping lag, and having to tp home, log, clear cache, log back in, sometimes 2x to get things to act right again. It's efficient and effective.

I haven't filled out the profile of this shopping avie because....well...it's a SHOPPING AVIE. I guess I could put "I'm just here to shop" on the profile. But honestly...she is 1/10k avies running around without anything in their profile.

Apparently, a resident there took exception with me and sent me some rather rude messages. I didn't see them because I was engrossed in shopping and had the chat window closed. I saw them when I returned to my home grid. I then reached out to her and explained 1) why I was invisible, and 2) why there was nothing in my profile. She promptly told me she was reporting me to the grid owner for "not acting right."

I popped back over there and spoke to her in genchat, once again explaining myself. I told her to be well and left. I am interested to see if that avie or even this one gets banned because a resident didn't like that I was invisible and shopping. It's always an adventure.

Okay I think things are finally, at last, for the time being, hopefully rearranged to be more easily accessible for everyone at the Create A Scene Garden Center and in fact the entirety of the Masala Al Kohav Mall. There is so much going on here that at times it's a little hard to keep up with, but it's all good goings on!! Stop in and shop all day if you like. Visit all of our in house creator's shops like Ezra's Antiques and Collectables, Thor's Forge, Fall's For You (Animesh People) and my own "Lavia's Little Corner". We have a very wide assortment of items ranging from houses to plants and everything in between. We're working on building new stuff as well so that you have original content as well as items from around Open Sim. And don't forget to ask about our "Showcase Plateau" which allows folks to advertise their grid, region, or shop not just for a week or a month, but year round for free with an allowance of 1500 prims. After spending most of the day working with it, we won't be doing the Dreamgrid Smart Start after all.

After crashing repeatedly with three different versions of Firestorm, and finding with no Smart Start the crashes ended - as well as the very large and heavy regions we have not loading as they need to -- it's just not working for us. It's a great concept, however. With a pretty powerful dedicated 64 gig Server we should be okay.

I think this works well for some grids and not for others, depending on what has to be loaded in etc etc.
