Info for all jealous and knowledgeable who claim my grid and 162 sim are slow. (user01) I did a test with an old pentium 4 Intl core 2 quad 3.2GHz, 8GB memory card 6 years out of life no more driver, "1GBite" internet. I'm going to my sim house market 60000 prim hard test. No difference to my PC i7 core 8, 4.3GHz, 32GB memory new Graficcard Gigabite. All work fine and stable fast. :-D
If my grid is slow for you, it may be time to think about the 50MBite internet and your old PC. That could be helpful. ;-)

There are so many nice houses in Opensim however 95% of them you either can't walk through the doorways or you fall through or both. Checking Phantom worked on one house but I've deleted already about 25 houses that I just can't get to work.

Does anyone have a workaround for this for either issue?

I have had my NPC Farmers out and working for many months now. I came in one day and none are working, they just stand there doing nothing...so I have contacted my Grids owner and told them what they needed to do...they did all that....but it was already set the way it should be, but they checked everything to be sure...so during the meantime I took out the smurf from the box and the listener...i wore both and saved the appearance....and still all my farmer does is stand there and when hit the debug...it keeps looking....please help...i have noticed in some grids the farmers are working, but yet in others they are not ....I also would like to know about the new version of your farm... version 2018.08.31 i can only find the .30 version...i am not sure i am even on the correct grid anymore with all the changes that metro did and osgrid did...so if you can please send me the HG or what ever it is i need...I have a huge farm...both my sister and I...we love your work...and it keeps us very busy...lol...and happy...thank you for that Satyr...*smiles* My grid owner said if possible if you have Skype if they could add you...they have their scripters looking into this matter also trying to figure out how to fix it...also the farmer does not give me any error notices or nothing...nothing at all...

It is sad to see peoples who collect free content from different Grids/Regions and sell it for real money on there own shops. Today i noticed it @ mundo.virtualbrasil3d.com.br. I stoped by and saw half of our female shop content and other freebie shops sold by DJ LUH for 100 bucks of there currency (for each item), that you can buy with real money @ the website. If peoples are renting regions for real money it is not great but not my problem. But when peoples get free content and try to make real money with it, i cant look away!

Since there are 24 US states and the UK requiring age verification it seems this is going to inevitably change the way OpenSimulator functions. Denying it, protesting, waiting for it to go away, or saying it's impossible - won't last long in my opinion. I think the EU will probably follow suit with laws.

I personally think Geofencing is boo-boo and doesn't work. Right now you'd have to block half the USA and all of the UK and then comes EU. Might as well just unplug and go home I guess.

So i'm thinking about what I need to do on my grids. Here are the strategy/rules i've been thinking about and would love feedback.


rules
1) can only age-verify local grid users, not from other grids
2) only age-verified people can access M and A land
3) non age-verified and HG visitors may access G land only
4) G land is not UGC (user generated content) but only grid owner can place objects (or designated people in specific staff group, etc)
5) non age-verified users cannot chat in the local channel
6) the G land (should be one per grid really) is more like a welcome, and possibly each region on the grid can have a "booth in the welcome area" worked out with grid owner.
7) visitors are enticed to become local users and thus become age-verified
8) local users can have sims/parcels on the grid but can only be M or R rated, no G
9) we assume all local users are age-verified, since they have to age-verify during registation (must use "commercial" 3rd party verification service according to many laws)
10) visitors (non local HG visitors) attempting to access M or A land are always redirected to the welcome "G" land

Hope this morning finds you all well. At Free Animals I had been planning and was working on it, but we all know RL gets in front of us. But I am still working on the board at landing. I have a board that says "August." Here are little surprise items I have created or items I found and wanted to share, but for my animals, new or old ones, you will find them in the stores as you walk around. Make sure to grab them. August gifts Once August is gone, then September gifts start, and then the August board is gone. :) Remember, I do not announce my new animals once I sit in stores.

I put out a bunch of landscaping plants at the dump this morning. It was in the inventory of an older avatar/grid, and I was so happy to have found it. Maybe someone else can use some of it. Thankfully, all the original creators' names are still on them.

Whenever i go to a club people keep slapping me so i came up with this anti-slap device to wear. if anyone needs one hit me up.

I also moved my sims next to my love (16 helicopters came in and lifted each sim, i was biting my nails watching.. only a few dishes and wine glasses were broken) so i can just jump out of bed and run across the bridge to see her when i wake up in the morning. I have a central system, two flags and two bases along with score board's. The flag is not carried but stays in place and goes alpha until returned. The issue I am having is the flag base sends a message to central but central is not sending a message to reset flag and award point. Any idea as to how to fix this. I can provide scripts if needed. Everything is communicating on the right channels. What am I looking for? Information about how friending works in Open Sim, and what techniques some of you use.
I am new to OS, but not to virtual life. I have noticed that if I friend someone who is a member of the same grid as me, they will remain in my friends list. If I friend someone who is a member of a different grid, it is likely they do not appear in my friends list.
So how do you get around this?
Do you have a workaround? I am assuming they must have evolved over time.
Or am I missing something simple?
Maybe people just friend those from their own grid? lol

Anyhow... all information, advice and thoughts on this subject most welcome.
And for the record... I do consult with my favourite Chatbots before asking questions in here, but whilst they were aware of the difficulties, they could not find satisfactory resolutions in the various forums etc that they searched.
