To celebrate World Peace Day we are holding a charity event on the 21st of September. You can visit the events region during that day and find some links to charities if you wish to donate and for every visitor during that day we will donate $1 to UNICEF.

Marche Noir (the Black Market)
Marche Noir is a new shop full of classic imports, dating back to the time when imports were new to OS. It's a carefully curated selection of items that are, surprisingly, relatively rare. This is stuff so old, it's new again.

Marche Noir Deux is an open air "yard sale." It's found behind the Marche Noir Une shop, and also in small pavilions and platforms scattered around the region. Marche Noir Deux, and Marche Noir Une, are still under construction. But feel free to take anything there. Also, the region is full of items that can be had by right-clicking on them and selecting "buy."

For me, part of sharing in OS is sharing traffic. So, the shop has a small but growing number of TP boards to the best shops in OS. I'm not going to try to duplicate items in shops with fresh imports, well presented. You are better off shopping there. In fact, we don't care so much about traffic here. We want to be known for the likes and comments we get. If you care to do that, it will be much appreciated.

*The Past And Future of Adachi*
~2012 to 2023...and beyond!~

Adachi is an area of Tokyo, Japan - a place Oni has a deep connection to. Oni opened the first Adachi in OS eleven years ago. In 2020, Oni opened the CopyKat Grid, with the Adachi regions at it's core. CopyKat quickly became the #2 destination in OS. Why? Well, just look at the glowing comments people made about Oni when I posted about his retirement.

After Oni's retirement, he gave ownership of the Adachi OARs to Maurice, a member of the CopyKat Collective. We are reopening Adachi again to shoppers within a week. See you at there soon!

The photo is of a capuchin monkey being trained by an organization formerly known as "Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled, Inc". It was founded to raise and train capuchin monkeys to provide daily in-home assistance to people living with spinal cord injury or other mobility impairments.

They are transitioning from a service animal model, and are now exploring innovative assistive robotic technologies and the various uses of augmented/virtual reality. The aim is to use these technologies to assist those living with physical disabilities by helping meet their socialization, mental health and other health care needs. Suzan Von Otto of Klamotto(https://opensimworld.com/hop/78282) messaged me last night to inform me she rigged my hair and made it two material faces, to be distributed freely with the nonrigged version. I will do this- but want to make a good hair hud for it first. Thinking of adding compatibility also with the "Decadence Hair Huds" I see floating around so people have even more choices.

2. I am making the main shops inside more cozy and finished looking. The idea is the newest or most popular things will stay right at the front outside but everything else goes inside eventually. Avatar stuff and hairs will go in "avatar magic" which is shaping into an "alternative sci/fantasy" beauty shop.

3. Just a few months away from new open source bodies and I finally fixed some errors I had with the Ruth2 V3 devkits...I have also legal copies of old maitreya devkit, among others from when I did things in SL. I have a few things I never put on the big grid and can, even for Athena users, because legal stuff for nonlegal bodies can be a "Gateway drug" to more legal content. And the problem isn't just going to go away cold turkey. So I can put my huge supply of "I made this, rigged it, it looks nice, never wore it in SL" on opensim. We'll see how it goes.

A fully legal mesh radio with 48 minutes of real content from the 1920s and 30s, inter spaced with the station call-sign and various audio ephemera. It is based on the first consumer/everyday use radios available in the era.
Unavoidable: you may hear an audio skip or repeat- this depends on your internet, your viewer, and how laggy of a place in your sim you put it. Long audio sets do this in OS.

Have fun- don't put it on SL, sell it, or tell people it's your creation from scratch.

There are those who associate nudity with the threat of child abuse and exploitation. However, moral panic leads to claims that "exaggerate the seriousness, extent, typicality and/or inevitability of harm" For example, if nudity always invites or incites sexual behavior, all-age clothing-optional beaches and resorts in RL would be closed.

Some people object to even clothed child AVs. Is this also a result of moral panic? Maybe. But it could be a mental health issue. An emotional state of fear, disdain, aversion, or prejudice toward children or youth is known as paedophobia. It is a condition diagnosed and treated by psychiatrists. There is hope, people. There is hope.

But, for now, these folks should stay away from SL. Some lurid facts about that place. If someone is at least 13 years of age in RL, they can use Second Life with some restrictions. You could not only encounter teen AVs in SL, you might even meet some RL teens. SL does have a policy about age-play, but says, "Merely having a childlike avatar does not violate this policy. It is not our intent to banish childlike avatars in and of themselves". Isn't it ironic? On this issue, SL is more open than some are on Open Sim.

In the past, simply stating these facts about SL has resulted in my being stalked in OS and threatened by, I think the clinical term is, cuckoo-bananas wack-a-doodle cray-crays. The truth is that my regions in OS are for adult AVs only. I have nothing against child AVs, as such. I just prefer to avoid dealing with unbalanced moral crusaders.

This adult themed build called "Surf Date" now includes a few physics c*ck enabled adult animations for those of you who like those. Come grab a copy right off the beach or test it out. Just know that there might be someone near with binoculars if you do. =)

Kinky Shop: New Update.

Today we bring you an update for the collars, now version 2023.09.06.

It features minor bug corrections as follows:

- Collar's leash distance check on re-leashing (upon login etc), if too far away won't releash (skybox etc)
- Updaters slightly optimized, no work around needed anymore for a bug in OpenSim being fixed some time ago (http://opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=7391)
- AO SitAnywhere offset can now be set with a typed command: /2offset 0.1 Specifying a relative height is possible too: +0.2 or -0.2 respectively adds or subtracts 0.2 to the current offset.
- Collar's display more solid particles for ribbon type leash

Also there's a new extension for the collars, to re-install the relay in case you deleted it from the original collar to use a third party one, this extension will re-install it.

If you already have a collar get the device updater only, there's no need to get a new one.

Xinashi Is Taking a New Direction.
I've stopped work on Xinashi and have taken all the builds back into my inventory. The CopyKat Collective hub region has also been packed up.

Here's the deal. I've been working on 20 Xinashi sims for about 3 years now. In addition, I've assembled 160 outfits for the oh HELLO shop in the past year alone. I'm finding it is all too much work. The fact is that less than half of the Xinashi sims have been fully set-up in all of this time. And, since the CopyKat grid closed and the loss of my inventory, I have been unable to assemble new outfits for the shop.

So, I'm sharpening my focus. Xinashi as a whole will be on hold for now. My work in OS will be devoted to assembling new outfits for oh HELLO and working with the CopyKat Collective team on a new project.
