A Visual Autobiography by Aphra Hendrix
This exhibition brings together a collection of artworks created over several years, each inspired by someone who crossed my path and left a mark on my life – lovers, musicians, artists and friends.

From my first love in France in 1985 to the vibrant years in Berlin and the encounters that followed, these works reflect different chapters of my personal journey. They tell stories of passion, inspiration, friendship, artistic collaboration and loss.

Looking back at these pieces today, I see more than individual artworks. Together, they form a visual diary of people, emotions and unforgettable moments – a personal history told through colours, images and creative expression.

I created these works some years ago and am now considering revisiting and reworking them. Whether they will be ready by Wednesday remains to be seen.

If not, the exhibition will make its debut at our next Speed Dating event – an occasion that seems particularly fitting for a collection exploring love, relationships and the unexpected ways people become part of our stories.

Every picture has a story. Every story leaves a mark.

"Hi everyone. I decided to post this screenshot because the situation really struck a nerve, and I have nothing to hide. This guy spewed a ton of vile hate under my post.
Honestly? It just hurts. It’s painful and disgusting to read how you—along with millions of others—are dragged through the mud simply because of the passport you hold or where you were born. This guy goes on, in all seriousness, about the 'free world,' while being completely consumed by blind xenophobia. He thinks it’s perfectly fine to paint everyone with the same brush and strip people of their right to simply be human, judging the world based solely on images from the TV.
I want to address all the reasonable people in this community. Is it really considered normal these days to judge someone by their nationality rather than their individual actions? I didn’t bother anyone, I didn’t insult any of you—I just shared some content. And suddenly, I’m hit with this nonsense claiming that we’re 'not human' and that we should be wiped off the face of the earth. Tell me, please: is this the 'freedom' and the 'European values' that everyone keeps shouting about? Dividing people into 'right' and 'wrong' nationalities is pure fascism, no matter what you call it.
I’m nearly 40 years old; I just want to live my life, connect with others, grow, and go about my own business. I didn’t choose where I was born—just like none of you did! And I have no intention of bearing the brunt of someone else’s aggression or personal issues. Decent people always judge someone by who they are on the inside, what they do, and how they treat those around them. What you see in this screenshot is nothing more than cowardly harassment. special update!
identified an issue in opensimulator server code with /homeagent that allowed anyone on the internet to post fake info including ip address with just a avatar uuid and add entries to presence. if you had weird ghosts show up on your grid could be why maybe. who know what else somebody else could do with that. anyway /homeagent is used when you teleport to another grid or back home. I changed it so it has to get a secure session id to accept data. i arbitrarily decided to make the life of the token 8 hours. So if you are on any grid more then 8 hours without teleporting to another grid you may have to relog before teleporting. You can stay on the grid longer just not teleport anywhere. I can change that if it's an issue. the other problem had to do with assets that came in with meta data but no assets, they were piling up and causing an effect like washing tennis shoes in the washer. now the incoming metadata can only last 15 minutes without corresponding asset data or gets wiped. this is on new assets as the come in, does not mess with existing assets. have fun!

After 15 years with Ruritania on Littlefield, our admin/owner team has decided not to host Ruritania going forward on Littlefield Grid. This is no reflection on Xi Shi or anyone from Ruritania, it's simply a business decision we had to make. We wish Xi and Ruritania well at their new home wherever that may be (you will have to contact Xi directly for that information).
