LETS SPREAD POSITIVITY NOT HATE!

Lately I have noticed a lot of drama, hate and bashing towards other people. I try to ignore most of it but lately it has become to much. Why do people feel the need to use hateful words or put someone down.

No matter what religion we are, gender, political views or whatever it is, cant we just agree to disagree.

I have seen a lot of people in my time in Opensim do amazing things, anyone that can DJ, build, script and anything else, is awesome to me. For the ones that constantly tell everyone they are awesome its because they are. They do a lot of things i do not know how to do or cant.

So in conclusion, I would like to say thank you to all creators, builders, scripters, and etc, because without all of you, my regions wouldn't look as good as they do. I may take things and place them and put them together but the credits go to the creators, builders and scripters.

Instead of name calling and tearing people down, lets be a little kinder, lets ignore the negative and worry more about spreading positivity.

Comment's welcome but please be kind :)

I updated the Caribou region description on Opensimworlds today.

I tell about my love to my region and grid and why it is important for me. Please comment if you have opinions about what I wrote:

I am Jeanne. I own Caribou. I share Caribougrid.com and Caribou with my long-time close friend Angelic Ronin. She is absent. My former partner and good friend Andron Rae still comes in to help me.

Caribou is my life. For over 15 years I have been working on it almost every day.

When I worked around the world I spent lonely hotel nights here.

In the long years that I fought my two cancers I was here every evening after my radiation. When medication made me sick i came to my islands.

I am still not on the clear. I need Caribou as much as ever.

My dear friend Veritas McMaster made me understand how important our experiences in the metaverse can be. I miss Veri so deeply. You will find many sites in Caribou that celebrate her and her work for all of us.

When we come somewhere in these grids, we look around. Is it nice? Is it beautiful? Is the building or the lake or the environment interesting? Do I want to see more?

Caribou is not different. I try to give attention to details. Do you still want to explore is my question?

Still, you look at us from the outside. It all changes when you enter the scene.

Your thoughts, opinions, memories, dreams - they are with you. Your sadnesses and your joys, your fears and hopes?

I am not the only creator anymore. You create the scene and experience equally much.

Veri told me how virtual worlds affect our brains. She lead me to the link between experiences and neurological health.

Veri came from Second Life. SL friends recommended to seek me up in Caribou.

Caribou was then where she received the AVs that she was helping. They went on to different adult grids for private housing.

Until Veri tragically passed away we worked together on her project.

Veri knew that experiences in adult grids can very different. They can heal but also create suffering.

Neuroscience tells how our brains work. Scientific advances show us how our feelings affect our brain.

I was socially excluded and bullied in the OS world myself. I wrote in opensimworld.com how it hurt my real health.

Angelic and other friends helped me back. A difficult time followed. I am still not completely healed.

I know now how effective and dangerous social exclusion and harassment can be. I am a strong person. Still it hurts me sometimes.

But I was privileged because I could read and learn about this.

Others are maybe not. Some are alone, some not well, or young lonely adults seeking their place in our worlds. For them exclusion and bullying is a real danger. And it is inhuman. Makes me upset, yes.

We don't always realise this in our virtual worlds.

Ihave dedicated Caribou to the road that Veri showed me. I am still far from done. I want everyone to feel equally welcome. To be what they want to be. Where nobody is left out. Where there is no bullying. And where a beautiful and inviting environment inspires to everyone. This work is on its way.

I don't prescribe anything. My intention is just to tell what I do in Caribou. All others do things their own way. This is ours.

I want to show that there can be a way back.

Caribou cannot offer professional help. Maybe we can suggest where to seek it. But we can be here for everyone.

Caribou is my life and my love. Like a Tiger Mama I hold on to my world.

Hugs, Jeanne Lefavre
This is a beautiful Heart Bezel solitaire in Ruby. It is bento rigged so it increased the LOD it is a bit heavy. The mesh was reduced 50% prior to rigging too. For those that demand bento, and to the ones who scream at me for being heavy, I have to say, sorry but had to do it!! You can find it in the Bento rings section in the Foyer.

Was telling Ferd Frederix that I had created bubblegum but could not remember what script it was I used. He said Oh! I know that one and he passed me this cool bubblegum, I wanted to share it with all of you. It is in the Monentes Jewelry store foyer on the little table. virtual-hg.com:8002:Monentes Jewelry Thank you Ferd, now I can chew gum and kick ass, instead of just kicking ass!

The Hawpanyu, or healer, in Na'vi culture is a highly respected role due to their deep connection with nature and their essential role in maintaining the well-being of the clan. The training focuses on ecotherapy, herbal medicine, and the unique skill of energy healing known as "The Flow of Healing." I have a RP kit for the Hawpanyu (Na'vi Healer)
it consists of various items to enhance your pandoran Roleplay. If you would like a kit it is at the landing here. It would also work with other Roleplays as the kit has items and info that you might find useful.

This clock was originally built by Zia Frimon. She used 5 scripts in the root prim, A script in the minute hand, A script in the hour hand, A script in the alarm, A script in the light, A script in the chimes. Zia used 10 scripts in total that were very lengthy and very complex. Zia's clock used a nice chunk of sim cpu, and in present day they didn't work well at all. The clock was unsettable as the hands would go to a random position regardless of what you set them to. Zia's scripts in total were over a thousand lines of code. So here is my clock. The second hand sweeps like a rolex. The chimes work and are at the hour, and quarter hour. The hands turn and keep real world time. You set your time zone by entering it in the object description and resetting the script. Example: Eastern Standard Time is -8. The clock also plays a lovely clicking noise and the entire device works flawlessly in less than 40 lines of code. Get it FREE at cyberdatastorm.com:8002:Wizardry

I had built it for a friend by request and now sharing to you all at 3D MUSEUM among other related to Halloween..
Available for FREE and FULLPERM.. Enjoy :)

As the rickshaw, its wooden frame creaking with every turn of the wheels, carried a woman adorned in the intricate garments of her dynasty, a delicate sight unfolded before her. A little chicken, its feathers glistening under the sun, innocently pecked at grains scattered across the dusty path. With a sudden jolt, the rickshaw lurched forward, its operator perhaps distracted by the grandeur of his passenger. In a split second, the fragile creature found itself caught beneath the wheels, a tragic casualty of haste and carelessness. The woman's heart sank as she witnessed the scene unfold, a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and mindfulness in navigating the Rickshaws at Zensational's Sakuragawa. In the aftermath, amidst the clucking of nearby hens, a lesson resonated deeply—a plea for caution to all who tread the paths of life, urging them to watch carefully, lest they trample the innocent underfoot. three.hills.grid.outworldz.net:8002:Zensational

I catch the 3HG Studios bus today and my driver is this cool, magical troll-like guy with huge feet straddling the gas and brake pedals. He flashes this wild-eyed grin and shouts, “Get in and buckle up!”

Before I can even find my seat, he’s spinning the bus out of control and diving straight into the ocean. We’re cruising underwater, octopuses scattering as we zoom past. The troll just laughs and says, “How do you like my shortcut?” 3HG has a new adventure coming soon...stay tuned! Thank you @ferdfrederix @ferdzee @FredBeckhusen 🚌🦈🪸🦑🌊🧜🏽‍♀️

A visit from @FerdFrederix today. Bringing more magic to the Sakuragawa region! He added horse stables and horses so that we can ride and explore this 3x3! He tested it out and said you can ride the whole way even going over the bridges! After your ride, you might be hungry so stop in at the Ramen House next to the Fish Market! As usual, I had lots of windows up and didn't see a message from Captain Shadow until I closed my windows. Some mornings the kindness people extend just overwhelms me, Captain sent me this lovely Tea House for Sakuragawa, thank you Captain this is such an adorable house. I have it already placed and it looks incredible! Thank you!

let us entertain you! We've converted Tesla's old warehouse and laboratory into a quirky bar and grill. As always, Avedon Park is open to everyone of any shape and size. Come explore. Have fun.

@FerdFrederix, created magic again last night 🏯He added the Grand Tower to Zensational. You will find the main TP with a menu to choose all the destinations of the region, the Grand Tower is located in the City just beyond the City Gates. Asking for money is not the solution.

In the past, as Copper mentioned, Opensimulator users have already been "cheated." So why go further and ask them for money when many grid owners might need funds to keep their grid running as a hobby and source of entertainment, where they don't earn much money?

The individuals who design Opensimulator, to whom we owe our deepest gratitude, and those who work on derivatives, those who offer "ALL-IN-ONE" solutions like Fred with Dream and Kubwa with their product, do not receive money to feed their families. Even there, there are hours and hours of work, programming, bug fixing; it's not just a simple pastime. Programming to offer a free product is a highly demanding passion.

There's no need to fund the EchoVoice project and continually ask for money. It would be more appropriate to try to find a programmer and contributors to work on an active project, making it compatible with Opensimulator, perhaps developing it in parallel. That would be fantastic, or a team of volunteers who start from scratch by studying the protocols.

Why do I have this idea? Simply because every grid owner could load voice software onto their server in this way, having an independent and parallel voice in Opensimulator.

Why am I against funding EchoVoice? Simply because it would fund a company that employs a programmer and centralizes the voice server, limiting users' freedom of use. I don't believe this is the right path.

Furthermore, the campaign opened by someone insists on saying that open source and projects created by volunteers don't pay rent and don't provide food. I respond again by inviting all of you to think about Ubit, who manages Opensimulator and the contributors to the project, about Fred with Dream Grid that many of you use, and about Kubwa. But this is just one example in the opensim world. There are authors of many viewers who do it out of passion without earning anything. But to go further, it's not true that Red Hat Linux is paid for; all GNU/Linux distributions are free, services are paid for. So, this person who claims that even Linux is paid for is trying to make you believe something that is absolutely not true. Paying for advanced support service or some defined pro features in Linux is equivalent to having something exclusive that that company offers. But even there, you pay about $99 a year to have a SERVICE.

With EchoVoice, you end up funding a company that will need to ask for funding every time until it can generate its own money to pay a programmer for a simple update. Is it based on Opensimulator? If Ubit were to ask for $1 a month for everyone using his (and the contributors') hard work, he would be very wealthy. The same goes for Dream Grid, and this is where the difference lies: the passion with which you program without asking for money, because perhaps through donations you can still achieve a sum.

These individuals, as well as others behind free projects that don't ask for money, started programming and working without asking for anything; that's how trust is gained.

And anyhow, centralizing the EchoVoice service would be wrong.

Think it over carefully.

OpenLife: If you really feel like paying, support Opensimulator programmers and all contributors, support this website, the grids where you live (even more than one if necessary), but be cautious of those who a... 1 years ago
