what i am after is either a car and lock that opens doors, or a keycard and swipe machine. We have two hotels at present that we are outfitting, here at City of Serenity. We are trying to make things look authentic as in each room has a lock of some sort that needs a guest to open. Imaging a hotel you going to stay at and the door to your room thats what i want and opening system. I have been looking for a key i can hang on a hotel key board but to no avail and if i use a keycard system i need to be able to put room number and logo on it. Thank you

Well, I released a novelty item today. Every once in a while (well, maybe more often than that) I get obsessed with something goofy. I always thought stick men were cute, don't know why, I just do. So, I made animesh and avatar stick people. There are regular ruth size and also tiny versions. I put them on the second floor of the shop building right in front of the elevator. They are dancing in the landing zone purely for my entertainment :).

After hearing of the sad news that Gertie Bumbtious left us on June 5th, we, Niki Stark (ex-wife of Gertie) and I decided to make a tribute edition of Stark! with some nice photos of Gertie. We will miss Gertie very much with her happy, positive manner and her legendary music sets!

Estate / Region management interface showing a few regions and then a region popped up for management (clearly not many options yet!!)

From here it will be possible to restart a region. Depending on your configuration of simulators this will either restart or shutdown - if its set to shutdown you need something else to start your region back up (monit is a good option).

Also OARs will be downloadable and uploadable from here. Due to the risks of operations like OAR backups / restores they will be configuable by constants on the config.php with at least restores disabled by default.

Still deciding what other tools to build in here.

There will also be some estate wide tools but that's not been started at all.

Map tiles are cached and not updated unless you request new ones. As they are calculated based on region size and downloaded in 256x256 chunks and stitched together getting them fresh each time is "expensive" especially on regions like the 4096x4096 I tested - thats a lot of chunks!

I'm currently developing a new OpenSim "Front End" - as I've not had much success with others. When its "done" it will be freely available for others to use if they like.

It will feature:
* account creation (automatic or admin approved)
* avatar selection on account creation
* change your grid password
* profile page showing profile pic and about - and also picks (both currently working)
* offline messages (currently working)
* friends list - also showing online status (with a caveat that presense is bad in opensim)
* partnering (send a partner request to another grid member who can accept in the web interfface, and also disilve.
* admin interface where admins can approve new members or suspend existing users
* restart regions if you are estate owner, manager, or grid admin with a high user level
* shutdown or start regions as above permissions
* take oars of regions as above permissions
* restore oars of regions as above permissions

And any other items I add. Currently the system allows you to log in with your grid account and see your profile and offlines. Other things will be added over the next days.

The system is php based - and will have a few php module requirements. Direct database access is used for GETTING some data (currently it only supports MariaDB - and "probably" MySQL) - but no writes will ever be made directly to the database - any WRITES will be by api calls through Robust / Simulator calls.

I can't win for loosing! Hypergrid Passport Delayed. And On that note~ After changing Internet Providers Saphysworld was created and has been running for a week with no drops! A permanent move will be coming soon with ALL new items and Freebies.

Ok in this one I did something super special to the terrain floater.
I added spinners for size of the yellow selection box and xy is the bottom left hand coordinate to place it. You can now do borders super easy with a box at 0,0 and the size being 1 wide and 1024 long...or you can make perfect square parcels in moments all the same exact size.....picture below.

What are your plans for March? Ditching Discord? I built C# bridge between Matrix and OpenSim. A grid user can create a group as normal then optionally connect it to Matrix server. I built an invite link thingy like Discord works. Matrix Users and OpenSim Grid users chat and it all shows up in Matrix (And the group chat inworld in the viewer). The profile pics and av names sync up automagically. I use Element web (and the phone app) but you can use any matrix client you want. So it's interactive.

not sure if anyone wants this feature, if so i'll post it on the ethers. if you don't or can't build OpenSim from source you probably won't use it. :)

Looks like OpenSim users are getting increasingly anxious that e.g. Mississippi and UK law enforcement will kill every last OpenSim grid on the grounds of their age verification laws, what with none of them having verified the real-life age of all their users. Even if a grid runs in Kazakhstan under a Russian domain with a Kazakh and Russian admin team.

The self-same people, however, appear not to be afraid at all that Linden Lab and SL content creators will kill ANY OpenSim grid on the grounds of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, what with almost all of them blistering with stolen SL content. A message to all Members and those that visit from other grids.

Inworld profiles do not work, my grid uses Jopensim and joomla and below are a few factors related to this issue. (I am not sure which version of dreamgrid this stopped working.

Foto the creator of jopensim is no longer invested in keeping this project alive. He has said he is done and his website is no longer active. I also assume grid is gone too but i have not checked it. https://www.jopensim.com/index.php

Joomla needs to be updated, however more important thing like getting opensim in dreamgrid stable is way more important. Maybe in the future once things behave things can be upgraded. Fred works very hard at what he does and this is a Fred fix. Please be patient as Fred works very hard and has more important things with dreamgrid at the moment. I am very grateful for what he does

If anyone who uses Dreamgrid with joomla/jopensim has found a solution please let me know. (will not roll back to previous version, code is old and fred no longer supports it)

The team are also desperate for poses and animations for using the weapons.
Standing, kneeling or leaning, holding either the handgun or machine gun.
Other poses and animations required are for arrest.
Male and Female wearing handcuffs while standing, kneeling, sitting or laying.

The team would appreciate any help in locating these items and any other Police related content.

At the moment the team are working on cracking a very serious case involving some very
nasty villains involved in drug trafficking, distribution and supply within our fabulous city.
