Basic Land Hygiene And Griefer Protection
1. Please add to or offer corrections to this list.

Pay attention because there will be a quiz.
1. Set Edit Terrain (Everyone) to Off
2. Set Object Creation to group only. (A private land management group for example)
3. Set Object Entry to Off
4. Set Scripts to Off
5. Set Safe mode (no damage)
6. Set No Push (this does not completely disable pushes, but it makes them less powerful)
7. Set your movelock to make yourself harder to push around. In Firestorm, this is CTRL+ALT+P.
8. The protection from any pushing is to "sit".
9. Set access to group only, or to yourself and a designated approved access list. (Kick out and ban griefers from the group)
10. Set No Fly (makes it harder for griefers to get around quickly)
11. Set Teleport routing to a specific spot (keeps griefers from being able to dodge by local teleporting)
12. Set Object Return to the shortest possible time
13. Turn off avatar visibility in About Land > Options (so griefers outside your parcel can't see you)
14. Do not respond to taunts or threats. REMAIN SILENT!
15. Mute (Block) each griefer
16. Turn off visibility of particles (CTRL_SHIFT_ALT_=)
17. Protect yourself from graphics crashers by limiting the avatar complexity your viewer can render, in Preferences > Graphics. Anything lower than "unlimited" will be fine.
18. Set your preferences to not render media or play sounds attached to other avatars.

The moment I discovered it, I banned him, reported him to my host Unadecal Masala, and locked everything down.... Later I learned he had created multiple alts and moved on to other grids.... That is the truth....
This is what followed....
Diamond (I AM WATCHING YOU)... you chose to drag my grid into your public meltdown, smearing my name with vile accusations without ever once coming to me directly... You claimed this man was “connected” to my grid... He was not... He is not.... He was never a resident here.... Lagniappe Grid is not a public playground .... it is my home..... No one “lives” on my grid except my sister, Barbie, and me.... That’s it.... This man broke into my home, damaged it, left vile things, and moved on to others.... To call that a “connection” is slander, plain and simple.... Josh Boam (AviWorlds) .... when I came to you privately, asking for respect and correction, I was met with dismissal, called crazy, and blocked.... If that is how you run your grid, fine... Lately I have noticed a lot of drama, bashing, shaming and finger pointing. I am not taking sides but I felt this needed to be said.
As a grid owner I feel its important to talk to other grid owners, get to know them, work with them on issues and problems.
When did it get to the point that we dont listen to other grid owners or its members? If a grid owner or a member came to me about an issue with one of my members I would hear both sides of the story.
I dont block an entire grid unless I have a valid reason or they have me blocked and no way to resolve the issue. I prefer to just block the said member if I have very good reason otherwise I talk to the grid owner.
I dont know why some have to be too busy to not care, I suppose its why I like being a small grid. I want the time to talk to my members, see there cool builds, work on the grid and support other grids.
I know that running a grid is a lot of work, I understand that it can make grid owners so busy. But I dont feel its hard to take 5 minutes or less to listen to members or other grid owners.
If we are constantly tearing each other down, accusing other grids or people, then someday there may not be anything left in Opensim.
My door is always open for anyone that needs to talk.
