The mate (pronounce it as mah-teh), is the name of a very local infusion like tea: the plant is called yerba mate, it has a very unique flavour and it's mainly consumed in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The way of drinking mate is put ground yerba mate leaves on the recipient (also called mate, because we love to confuse people), and then add water. You drink it through a metal straw called bombilla.

My mate is a literal copy of the one I use everyday at home, it's a giver so when you click on it, it'll give you a mate and a thermos to refill it, exotic!

I've always been fascinated by pennyfarthers, they're so elegant and graceful and HUGE!

The one I offer at my shop uses a very modified script of an airplane! But that's a secret, don't tell anyone!
The reason is that I wanted to bank when you turn and that was the only way I could find to do it properly but the side-effect of such atrocity is that the bicycle can jump unrealistically high as if it had a million balloons tied to it.

Also it's very challenging to drive over terrain, this is a civilized bike, for civilized roads... Which means you will laugh a lot trying to drive on rough surfaces, of course.

MY BUTT CHEEKS ARE SHOWING.
Typically, I'm very modest in my dress. But I thought I owed it to the large "my butt cheeks are showing" fans to make an outfit for them. It has to be a large number of people judging from the multitude of "my butt cheeks are showing" clothes I see everywhere.

So, is this post just an excuse to say "my butt cheeks are showing?" Mmmmm...maybe. I should mention that modesty is preserved by "FINA'S 'CutebutPsyco' thong which is color-able. How in the hell they came up with that name, I don't know.

Oh HELLO. The shop that can boast of having at least one "my butt cheeks are showing" outfit with a cray-cray thong.

'MV Ross Revenge is a radio ship, the home of Radio Caroline, as well as having supported Radio Monique and various religious broadcasters. She was constructed in Bremerhaven in 1960, and initially served as a commercial trawler as part of the Ross Group fleet, notably taking part in the Cod Wars of the 1970s. Following her decommissioning, she was purchased by Radio Caroline and outfitted as a radio ship, complete with 300-foot (91 m) antenna mast and 50 kW transmitter. Her broadcasts began on 20 August 1983; her final pirate broadcast took place in November 1990. She ran aground on the Goodwin Sands in November 1991, bringing the era of offshore pirate radio in Europe to an end. Halls are tricky, those little spaces (or big ones) that connects a multitude of living spaces houses, which only function is to redirect transit. Do you fill it with frames and little tables?

Will you -ever- sit on those little armchairs?

Well I'm of the opinion that you can fill those spaces easily... with light! Lightning is paramount and so let me show you my art deco hall light.

It's fully automatic and it comes with two different textures, a brand new looking one, for a pristine presentation and a worn out one for a moody ambient. You rez it and forget, it casts a projector light so the ceiling won't be illuminated and since it's one single mesh object you can resize it at your convenience, it's all about options.

New Release: Arcadia's Disco Lights

I have something for your dancing place today, it's a ring frame with disco lights and lasers.

It features custom animations (the lights/lasers are animesh) for smooth movements, the lasers can emit red, blue and a multicolour spread type of rays, and the whole ring can rotate too, so you can make movement patterns that matches your music.

Please read the manual this object requires your sim to be able to run the function osMessageObject.

Did you know?

I've two versions of the Stratoracer: the Mk.1 (left) is an older version, with less detail but it works properly on Bullet Sim. The Mk.2 (right) has more details, an automatic undercarriage and more functions, it works only on UbODE.

Why?

Because I wasn't able to replicate the smoothness of movement in BulletSim. So most of my newest vehicles are scripted only to work on ubODE.

That being said, you can try both at the runway at the Shop. =)

Two of the most visited and important monuments in Portugal are represented on the grounds of the GavezDois Art Gallery, in Osgrid.

Here you can see one of them, the Pena National Palace, which is located in the Sintra mountains. Eternally grateful to the generosity of Ernest Moncrieff who built this magnificent building.

It is now open to the public and can be found in Osgrid's Destinations Guide. There will be a grand opening party soon!

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point on the European continent, located at the tip of the Serra de Sintra, and is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic places in Portugal.

With a 22m tall lighthouse dating back to 1722, shrouded in fog or bathed in splendid sunshine, this inspiring scene has been part of the "Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossoms" program dedicated to peace since 1989.

It is also reproduced on the grounds of the GavezDois Art Gallery, in yet another magnificent reproduction by Ernest Moncrieff.

Today there will be one more special event for visitors to the GavezDois Art Gallery: an hour-long show by the excellent singer Zoree Jupiter, at 1:00 pm grid time (20:00 GMT), at Velazquez Bonetto Space.

Wir planen für die Tage um die Iden des März (also 14-16.3.2022) ein Festival gegen den Krieg (oder für den Frieden - ganz wie ihr wollt).

Bis auf das o.g. Datum ist noch alles offen und wir bitten alle, die sich da mit einbringen möchten sich kurzfristig mit Anachron Young oder Dorena Verne in Verbindung zu setzen.
Wir machen uns sicherlich keine Illusionen, das wir mit dieser Aktion etwas ändern können, es kann nur ein symbolischer Akt sein uns eindeutig zu positionieren. Aber auch das ändert eben schon etwas - und sei es "nur" in unseren eigenen Köpfen.

Peace Festival
We are planning an anti-war (or pro-peace - whatever you want) festival for the days around the Ides of March (i.e. March 14-16, 2022).

Except for the date mentioned above, everything is still open and we ask everyone who would like to get involved to get in touch with Anachron Young or Dorena Verne at short notice.
We certainly have no illusions that we can change something with this action, it can only be a symbolic act to position ourselves clearly. But that also changes something - even if it is "only" in our own heads.

Did you know?

When you enter the shop, at your right there's a door that will take you to a changing room, this is a small, comfy area, away from other's eyes where you can try attachements and clothes on your avatar, or just sit and hangout with your friends.

Also it's the only place on the sim where you can rez stuff, albeit it has an auto-return of two minutes, but I think that's enough to unbox stuff.

The sequence of images that line the path to a small square typical of the capital of Portugal, takes us to the main points of the city in the most diverse artistic styles.

In addition to the different rooms of the huge AI art gallery, there are works of art spread across different parts of the island for visitors to discover.

Did you know?

There's a tower at the South East part of the sim, it's heavily inspired in one of the show stands of the New York's World's Fair of 1964.

This is a relax place for you, where you can have something to drink, eat and sit down.

The roof of the tower is a mini disco that's enabled when I stream my mix sessions and if you climb down the stairs you'll find a beach to suntan.

You can go to the tower using the teleporters (look at my previous article about them) or by rezzing a demo vehicle at the runway.

Of course, the tower itself is available to take at the shop =)
