Mehr als nur ein Musiker, eine Figur, ein Phänomen, das seit Jahrzehnten die deutsche Musikszene prägt, herausfordert und verzaubert. Er ist das pulsierende Herz einer ständigen musikalischen Metamorphose, der Beweis, dass Stilbruch kein Risiko, sondern eine Revolution sein kann. Von den rauen Hip-Hop-Anfängen Hamburgs bis zu den schillernden Funk-, Soul- und Reggae-Bühnen des Landes – Jan Delay hat den Soundtrack für ganze Generationen geliefert und dabei nie aufgehört, sich neu zu erfinden. Dies ist die Geschichte eines Künstlers, der mit Hut, Anzug und einer gehörigen Portion hanseatischer Schnodderigkeit zum Chef-Styler der deutschen Musik wurde.
