Die B-52’s, eine Band, deren Name sofort Bilder von hochgetürmten Frisuren und unkonventionellen Tanz-Rock-Hymnen heraufbeschwört, fanden ihren Ursprung im Jahr 1976 in der pulsierenden Musikszene von Athens, Georgia. Die B-52’s, eine Band, deren Name sofort Bilder von hochgetürmten Frisuren und unkonventionellen Tanz-Rock-Hymnen heraufbeschwört, fanden ihren Ursprung im Jahr 1976 in der pulsierenden Musikszene von Athens, Georgia. Alles begann mit einer zufälligen Jam-Session nach einem Abendessen in einem chinesischen Restaurant, an der sich die Gründungsmitglieder Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson und Keith Strickland beteiligten.
