This weekend is Labor Day weekend in the U.S. this year. Labor Day 2025 falls on Monday, September 1, so the long weekend runs Saturday, August 30 through Monday, September 1.

As for who celebrates it — Americans aren’t alone, but the September version is pretty rare.

United States & Canada both mark Labor Day (or Labour Day) on the first Monday in September.

Most of the world celebrates a similar workers’ holiday on May 1, known as International Workers’ Day or May Day. Over 100 countries — from France, Germany, and Brazil to India, South Africa, and Australia — observe it then. - The meaning is broadly similar everywhere: honoring the labor movement and the contributions of workers, though traditions and timing vary.

This beautiful Mayan-style ziggurat is available for you to add to your region if you are into ancient builds, sci-fi, and/or sci-fi fantasy. The stairs are very easy to climb, the Mayan carvings are original art from my AI Art program, and it has 2 floors inside with corner steps and serpent railing. The stone block texture is travertine, a commonly used stone in ancient times, but you can retexture it however you like. It's mesh, so it is modifiable, but that is limited. AS most know, Moon wolf has been undergoing a lot of new add ones and changes with the new addition of our second region. There has been so much added thanks to my two estate mangers I don't need to say their names because they know who they are. We have a so much, Region 2 now houses a Brand-New Ballroom from a very wonderful creator, A blues/Jazz Bar, A newly redone done skate rink, A tree house that will be hold our very first Halloween event this year. Slumber party skybox, Egyptian skybox. Mer mermaid cove has been expanded with the addition of the Sunken Black Peral Under Water Bar. SO come on over and take a look around. We do have shops available free of charge for creators big and small. as well as opening for anyone interested in DJing and Hosting. About Rigged Jewelry in My Shop

Some visitors have asked about resizing or rigging jewelry to fit their avatars. Here’s how it works:

Rings: My rings are rigged for a standard female hand shape. Often they will also fit men’s avatars, but for a perfect fit I would need to rig the ring to that exact avatar’s mesh. That requires uploading their full avatar to Blender, which most people understandably don’t want to (or don’t know how to) do. Because of the time and complexity involved, I don’t offer custom rigging.

Necklaces & Other Jewelry: Rigging necklaces to avatars isn’t practical. They tend to move in unrealistic ways, “flopping” around the body. Static or unrigged versions usually look better in-world.

Why I Don’t Offer Rigging Services: Every avatar body and hand mesh is different, and keeping up with all of them would be impossible. Rigging each piece individually takes significant time and effort.

As part of our overall "facelift" for the mall, I have built a new ziggurat with more of a Mayan feel and used textures I made in my AI art program. The men's and women's shops are up, though they are not completely filled yet; we're working on that. All of the homes have been moved and categorized as "Victorian", "Modern", "Log Buildings", "Farms", and "Service Buildings". Our aim with all of this is to make things easier to find and more accessible for our patrons. We do this because elegance is an attitude and shopping should be an adventure.
