Am 4. Januar 1942 wurde John McLaughlin in South Yorkshire, England, in eine Welt hineingeboren, die kurz vor einem gewaltigen kulturellen Umbruch stand. Er war das jĂŒngste von fĂŒnf Kindern. Sein Vater war als Ingenieur tĂ€tig, wĂ€hrend seine Mutter als Geigerin die musikalische Ader in die Familie brachte. Diese frĂŒhe PrĂ€gung durch klassische Musik legte den Grundstein fĂŒr sein tiefes VerstĂ€ndnis von Struktur und Harmonie. Doch wie so viele junge Menschen seiner Generation in den 1950er Jahren, wurde er von der rohen Energie des Blues und dem rhythmischen Drive des Swing mitgerissen.

I went on a fun little excursion today using the MazeOS viewer. Specifically, I had a chance to test the viewer in Wine-Staging (dxvk-vulkan preinstalled) on Arch Linux.
I have to say, this is an impressive experience, everything works with the exception of a few common shortcut keys being ignored, which the average Linux user can easily fix.
It is pleasing to see work is being done to bring a unified viewer for Opensim and I am sure there will be plenty of interest for a Linux port. Well done, Prince Amor and THANKS!
