I have found a solution to a bug created by last weeks nvidia driver upgrade.
1) go to AppData\Roaming\Mazebz Viewer_x64 (make sure you can see hidden files.
2) erase the folder of the user name you are trying to log in with.
3) log in. This will wipe your settings, but it will allow the viewer to boot properly with the new nvidia settings.

Ziel war eine saubere, automatisierte Lösung mit klarer Trennung zwischen Produktionsserver und externem Backup-Server.

Das System basiert auf:
• verschlüsselten Borg-Backups
• getrennten Backup-Skripten für Dateien und Datenbanken
• zeitlich versetzten Cron-Jobs
• klar definierten Aufbewahrungsregeln
• vollständig dokumentierten Wiederherstellungsszenarien

Die Dokumentation ist bewusst allgemein formuliert und nicht auf ein spezielles Grid oder eine konkrete Datenbank zugeschnitten.
Sie kann als Anleitung für andere Administratoren dienen, die eine ähnliche Struktur umsetzen möchten.

Enthalten sind unter anderem:
• komplette Einrichtungsschritte (Repository, SSH, Passphrase-Automation)
• Beispiel-Skripte für tägliche und wöchentliche Backups
• Retention-/Prune-Strategien
• Log- und Kontrollmechanismen
• Restore einzelner Dateien
• Datenbank-Rücksicherung
• vollständiger Disaster-Recovery-Ablauf

Over the past few weeks, I've completely revamped and restructured my backup system.

The goal was a clean, automated solution with a clear separation between the production server and the external backup server.

The system is based on:

• encrypted Borg backups
• separate backup scripts for files and databases
• staggered cron jobs
• clearly defined retention rules
• fully documented recovery scenarios

The documentation is intentionally general and not tailored to a specific grid or database.

It can serve as a guide for other administrators who want to implement a similar structure.


Included are:

• Complete setup steps (repository, SSH, passphrase automation)

• Sample scripts for daily and weekly backups
• Retention/prune strategies
• Logging and control mechanisms
• Restore of individual files
• Database recovery
• Complete disaster recovery process
