I am devastated. I loved and respected Mal, and I will miss his friendship and spending time with him, as we all will. My aunts used to gang up on me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and shouting "you're next, you're next"... but they finally stopped when i started doing the same thing to them at funerals. :) - That ones for you Mal. May you always have the last laugh in your infinite metaworlds journey. If you happen to see a planet called cyberdatastorm, stop in for a bit. I still have those rose colored glasses you made me. lol. Goodbye old friend.

I loved hanging and talking with Mal, mostly on Safaris, and he interviewed me on his show once. My heart goes out to his family and friends, as well as to Thirza who worked his shows with him. I will sorely miss him :-(

I just found out about Mal’s passing... and though I wasn’t as close to him as some….like my sister who knew and worked with him…I still feel this loss deeply…. I want to honor the presence he held in OpenSim... the platform he gave so many of us... and the way he lifted voices, projects, and talent that often went unseen elsewhere…. He showed up for our creativity… For our weird, our wild, our art, our worlds… He understood the beauty of building something that lives beyond code….
He came to my land once... I was invited to be on his show, but I wasn’t ready. I thought I’d have more time…..
To those of you who knew him closely... my heart is with you…. To Mal... thank you for everything you built, everything you gave, and everyone you believed in…. May your journey through the stars be full of the light you gave to others….

It's sad to see another influential OpenSim avatar teleport to the Big Sky Platform, especially since he was easily OpenSim's most active and prolific video maker and our only regular live streamer with his weekly Inworld Review.
This time I can even say we were acquaintances. We've met at quite a number of HG Safaris, I guess that's where we knew each other from.

Yes he was. Tomorrow, the show will be aired at the usual time, 12noon grid time, and will be a tribute and remembrance, and a tour of his region. We can join in the live chat to honor him.
