Max Rilaxin 11 minutes ago @Ferdzee I love the Dreamgrid system, but your prediction that Opensimulator will break, is questionable, given the fact your favourite quote is "It's difficult to make predictions. Especially about the future." lol
Fred Beckhusen✦✔ 4 hours ago @Mistressdalgato hopefully someone can do Linux and not spend 16 years like I've been working on DreamGrid. Lots of work for such a small group of Linux users, too..
Fred Beckhusen✦✔ 4 hours ago @Ariel, All Opensim of all types will break some day soon. You need to insta; Dot Net 3.5 VNext to prvent this only AFTER it breaks. Or upgrade for goodness sake. 5.24 is from 2022.
Noob_Ubinu 15 hours ago I want a Kazumi Nippon Coffee maker but they are not complexed enough to bother making one.
Brettson✦ 15 hours ago Speaking of SHARING JOY - Something VERY BIG (bigger than SimGEAR going FOSS.) and something VERY FREE is coming to Opensim. My Inferno Matrix is almost HERE! Please Stand By...
CyberGlo CyberStar 17 hours ago Also, I am awesome.
CyberGlo CyberStar 17 hours ago I like linux. I used to love Windows until microsoft started FORCING everyone to have an online microsoft account that you can NO LONGER opt out of without serious high magic and technical ability. I am seriously considering turning my main machine into a linux machine after this debacle.
Speck yesterday Above all else, have fun, be creative and share the joy
Speck yesterday If you're not techy try DG and if it does all you need then use it and have fun. When things are getting more serious then take a look at the "pure alternative" - more work often means more rewards.
Speck yesterday Morning all :) I think there's room for both "pure" OS and "DG". For many who just need to play and not get technical DG is a great thing. Pure OS doesn't had a lot of the easy tools and auto services and does need some linux operating knowledge as a minimum.
Dorena Verne✦ yesterday I don't mean any harm, but I simply don't understand why so many people are hesitant to use the original OpenSimulator.org. When I started with my grid 16 years ago, I learned how to use it. Believe me, it makes you a lot more independent.
Mistressdalgato✦ yesterday I am not a fan of linux, however I know someone who has a friend who was working on a dg version for linux. I have not heard any updates recently. I imagine this will take awhile.
OTW_FIESTA 2 days ago buena musica en mundo latino!!
Arielle 2 days ago @Fred what exactly is going to break/. I'm running a version 5.24 on win10. Will that be affected if I don't update Windows?
Noob_Ubinu 2 days ago I'll put the IAR of my Belgium Royal Balance Siphon Coffee Maker in the DreamGrid shop, if I can remember how to do it.
Speck 2 days ago @Dorena - You're a force of nature Dorena :)
Speck 2 days ago @Noob - I think there's a club for that somewhere on the HyperGrid - there's always a club :)
Dorena Verne✦ 2 days ago I think switching to Linux was the right decision. My database has grown quite a bit over the past 16 years, which is why I put it off for far too long because of work.
