	Speck 10 hours ago If you're not techy try DG and if it does all you need then use it and have fun. When things are getting more serious then take a look at the "pure alternative" - more work often means more rewards.
	Speck 10 hours ago Morning all :) I think there's room for both "pure" OS and "DG". For many who just need to play and not get technical DG is a great thing. Pure OS doesn't had a lot of the easy tools and auto services and does need some linux operating knowledge as a minimum.

	Dorena Verne^✦ yesterday I think switching to Linux was the right decision. My database has grown quite a bit over the past 16 years, which is why I put it off for far too long because of work.
	Dorena Verne^✦ yesterday I finally decided to switch. I rented a very high-performance server and set up a minimal Debian installation. Then I installed all the packages needed to run a grid. Now the regions are being migrated one by one, and the grid services last.

	Speck yesterday I know Fred has been asked ad nauseam about producing a Linux version of DG but it's not his bag. We owe him a big thank you for what he did make, so many more residents of these worlds because of Fred. Thank you Fred.
