Ok... just looked through some of the recent front page posts. I've been here in Open Sim for about nine months now.
I have accounts in OSgrid and Kitely.
I'll have to admit a good deal of my wardrobe is possibly copybotted. I'd like to know if anyone is willing to send me a list of LM's showing truly original, OS based stuff (aside from Lunaria), I'd appreciate it. Most of my wardrobe is rigged to the Athena body. I also have a small number of Ruth2 takes. For my male alts (yes, I have a few, using the same names that I established for them in SL), I use Adonis and Roth2.
There was a discussion recently that influenced me to write this post. It's located below the post from Luna Lunaria, #92052. I totally understand creators desiring to be compensated for their creations. I have spent a fair amount of L$ to gather some of my clothes in SL. I wouldn't mind paying a few K$ or O$ for some creations on this side of the metaverse, as I think that's quite fair.

@Shea ... AGREED ....we the creators and builders of OS, do it because we want to better ourselves, by making things better for others; NOT for PROFIT.... money is evil, and will be the downfall of the human race.

@@=rolls eyes. This topic is getting old. There are many of us who cannot afford luxuries. We thank each and everyone, who share their items, with us poor folks. Many of us are on a fixed income, and cannot afford extras. Sharing~is Caring!=The motto for Opensim users. If those of you who need to charge, then just do it, but quit your complaining.

This isn't about whether or not charging money for content is justified. This is about someone looking for legal content, preferably made in OpenSim for OpenSim. Regardless of whether it's payware or freebies. Anything, as long as it isn't stolen from SL.
And no, stolen SL content is NOT the only alternative to payware.

I never said, stolen content is the alternative. I said, I am thankful, to those who decide to share. Items do NOT just come from stupid SL. Many people make items here, on Opensim. Topic, is still about items that are given free, or being charged for.

Here's a photo of one of my avis showing off a Open Sim shirt from Meshanthropy. I couldn't use the included alpha, had to mess with the Athena HUD to make it work... a bit tricky, this is my curvy body on display but I think it looks great. :) Thanks very much!

By the way, if you've got an Athena 6 body, you can make alpha masks work fairly easily. I've posted instructions here: https://opensimworld.com/post/84164

omg how cute you look. That shirt was made by Fuschia Nightfire, in rl artist Nina Camplin. How nice of you to share a link, glad you like it! it's all very old stuff, made for regular avies, and probably many of the items have broken perms, because it was all carted over from the old shop on FG. If there is anything you'd like that you could not get, just dm me here or on osgrid saying what didn't copy.

The mesh is Damien's, but the textures in Meshanthropy are my work, with a few exceptions, in this case, a teeshirt design by Fuschia. The baked clothing is all by me.

The clothes in the Meshanthropy store are based on Damien Fate meshes. That means they can be mixed and matched with other Damien Fate stuff. And some Clutterfly skirts. And Klarabella's new skirts. Not to mention footwear and BoM hosiery...
Also, chances are very good you can wear them on a Ruth2 body. If you have a Ruth2 v4, you may have to make some custom alpha masks, but it's never too early to start with that. And since they're for Damien Fate meshes, you'll have loads of uses for them.
The HG Safari sim should totally be one of my next Ruth2 shopping destinations. (Don't forget to take the Pac-Man ghosts with you!)

i also have a store of lingerie over on nara's nook, made long ago, all original stuff, not sure if the boxes still work. Do people still wear knickers? it's on Paradise region I think. and there are other shops there too, all with original content.

Okay, to my best knowledge, all boxes are in working order. So that's another recommendation for BoM underwear, lingerie and beachwear. Expect my sister to come visit your shop.

Both offer women's clothes made for Ruth 2.0 (RC#3 in Taarna's case, RC#2 in Klara's case), but chances are good that they can also be worn by Athenas.
