A little message to the experts of tolerance š
Iāve heard some criticism about how my grid looks, and honestly, that made me a little sad. Someone told me without telling me details and source of origine.
I would have appreciated a simple āIf youād like, weād be happy to help.ā That would have meant much more to me than hearing about it afterwards.
I know my grid isnāt perfect. I also know that I donāt always have the same energy, possibilities or resources as other people. And that can make some things slower or more difficult.
But I love what Iām creating in my grid and especially now in Cataleya. ā¤ļø
My original idea was a little city where people from different grids could have a home, gallery, club or anything new. That turned out to be much harder than I imagined.
Still, Calvin has a beautiful exhibition in the city and a wonderful sculpture in the landscape, and that makes me really happy.
For now, the grid is closed while I work on it in my own time.
And if you donāt like it, thatās perfectly okay. You donāt have to look at it.
Iām still allowed to love it. ā¤ļø
Maybe tolerance is sometimes simply giving people the freedom to create differently.
And perhaps a little kindness along the way. šæ

Those who criticize the work of another, usually have little talent themselves. Pay them no mind. One hint, to lesson lag is smaller textures where ever possible. It makes a big difference. (((HUGS)))

You need not listen to cowardly pessimists and critics who want every world to look the way THEY imagined it. Tell them to go buy/host and BUILD that specific world, if they want it so bad! Let them see how much work is involved! Just maybe they would even learn a thing or 2! Make your world as big or small as you wish it to be. huggggsss!

Be like michaelangelo! Create wonderful amazing things, then smash them to bits with a wild fury! Show the world you are capable and calculating and contemplative! Be the judge of your own tamale! Be galagher to the watermelons! Create & Destroy! It is your destiny! Enjoy the powers afforded to you to analyze the imperfections in your own work!

Do what you like how you like it, please yourself first. If someone else wants to come along for the ride, then thats great too!
I learned that over years running the E grid till it finally died .. trying to get it loved, noticed, spotlighted etc. Finally just doing the Haven Grid now for what I like, and out of the popularity contest. After several years of that, nope. If your grid pleases YOU .. thats what counts!

Why be influenced by the naysayers? Are these people actually invested in your success, or are they just passing judgment? Look at my little mini-grid. It exists to build a ship, then host that one ship and it's systems. I get a lot of hate right now because it's a skeleton, but hey, you have to start somewhere! Building takes time, and I am working alone. I started mine 12 years ago, and it has been on-again-off-again, stuffing the OARs into a box, and then reviving them again. It will be the largest cruise liner in the metaverse, and most of it is just prims I build, so the most hate I get... "Why don't you use mesh?" .... I just laugh. You do you and don't worry so much what other people say! Keep smiling!! :)

Iām not really in a position to say what is beautiful or not, or what is good or not, but personally, I do things for myselfāto have fun and learn. If people like it, great; if they donāt, thatās not my problem.
Iāve been doing this for years, and I plan to keep doing it for years to come.
And just remember: no matter what you do, there will always be criticism.
