SAME! Or creators who create their own things to give away but not full perm and there's always at least 1 that runs home to GP it in grids that offer that feature to access all permissions. Then they hand it out full perm to everyone as though they are a God. People deserve to be credited for their work even if Freebies. IMO the Hypergrid would be a better place if not every grid was filled with all the same stuff as everyone else. As far as Linda's stuff being "old" "out dated", I've found very good uses for a large number of her creations. They also provide a lot of creative inspiration to improve upon her items. I'm grateful for all those that came before us and gave us some tools to make they Hypergrid so much more beautiful than it was when I first came a little over 18 years ago. That's my 2cents for what's it worth.

Even if the Linda Kellie style isn't to your personal tastes, her stuff makes a great base to mod from to get the look of things you want. And she made so much in terms of the tools we use everyday. I use them anyways and they still have value.

Does R. Lion offer loose textures from the available items? Texture templates? Mesh kits including shadow maps and UV maps?
But I guess many simply don't care. They don't actually want to get creative. They want stuff to look awesome right away with zero effort. You can tell by the popularity of fully furnished skyboxes ripped from SL and complete avatars to which the same applies.

It's still useful. It's practical. (Layer underwear IS better than mesh underwear.) And, more importantly, it's LEGAL. Also because Linda was one of the few creators to actually put their stuff under a license.
Yes, many OpenSim users want their OpenSim avatars to look like state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line Second Life avatars. Legacy body, LeLutka head, EvoX skin, Doux hair, the whole shebang. If they knew about ARC and how to display it, they'd probably think it's the measurement for good avatar looks.
Some OpenSim users would even like to enforce a minimum content quality standard, particularly for avatars, that absolutely requires avatars to be completely decked out only in ripped SL content and in all mesh except for skin, make-up and tattoos. They'd probably also enforce certain avatar styles: Male avatars would have to be either badasses or sexy beach boys, female avatars would have to be cartoonish Kim Kardashian caricatures clad in the raciest, skimpiest, sluttiest outfits possible.
But some of us refuse to use illegally ripped SL content on our avatars. We prefer a free, open-source, made in OpenSim for OpenSim, LEGAL Ruth2 v4 to a stolen L$5,000 Legacy body with a stolen L$5,000 LeLutka head. In fact, some of us forgo mesh altogether and stick with the system body, layer clothes, unrigged prim attachments and skins from the 2000s to get around having to use stolen content. And because they prefer lightweight non-mesh to unoptimised, single-LOD mesh that inflates your ARC to over 600,000.
@JamieWright is currently working on a sim named "Old School". https://opensimworld.com/hop/95214 It's a freebie sim that specialises in older content that's at least expected to be legal. Linda Kellie including Clutterfly, Nebadon Izumi/Oni Kenkon Creations, Ina Centaur/Open Avatars, stuff from FleepGrid etc. There's still a target audience for this kind of stuff.
I know that not few OpenSim users would want her to delete her sim, her non-mesh avatar and herself from OpenSim for good and make way for the next R. Lion/Starchild/Sciattisi/TdV, another freebie sim that offers tons of freshly ripped premium SL content for free. The kind that'd constantly be in the OSW top 10 if it had an OSW listing.
But she won't do that.

Mesh avatars do not have the versatility of the system avatar. Just last night I was making new characters for a twisted 'Les Miserable' NPC show I am working on. I use Both mesh and system standards to achieve my goals. I only wear a (empty suitcase) system avatar with textures applied to the BASE when traveling hypergrid. The avatar is fully appropriate. Events with DRESS REQUIREMENTS should provide suitable avatars at the landing.

Unfortunately, unless you set up your own OARs, content that was released between LK Designs (or the Shopping Mall 2.0) and Clutterfly is really hard to find. For example, some boxes appear to be exclusive to the ShoppingCenter, and some others can only be obtained either there or at the Avatar Center.
By the way, I'll soon have another store with my upcycled Clutterfly furniture in it.

It's beyond rude. There's also been regions that sell Arcadia Asylum stuff over the years too. These legacy creators like LK and Arcadia gifted us, they leveled the playing feild for content to get started and/or for folks who are decorators not builders but need it to not be a capitalist venture to create their virtual enviroments.

Especially since Arcadia put a notecard into every last single one of her creations with a license that explicitly states that her content must never be sold for any amount of money.
