where can i find real working games and skating rinks and the likes thereof

We have a skating rink on our Wyld Thangs region in Wyldwood Bayou Grid that is unfortunately not copiable, but the skate park there and all the skates, skate boards and animations are free to copy. wyldwoodbayou.com:8002:Wyldwood Bayou Wyld Thangs

I've never made a skating rink myself, but this is what I'd try. Someone here should be able to tell you where to find ice skates, which usually come with animations. Then find a thin mesh surface in the shape you want the rink - rectangle, oval, or round are some options. You can find these in the Skye/R. Lion water system. Replace the mesh textures with one for ice. Again, someone here could help you find that texture. You can place the rink on land or a frozen lake/pond. You can use the irregularly shaped objects from the Skye water system to make skateable paths to it.
The TierraDeVolcanes region has nice snow mounds. They aren't for sale, but they should be able to tell you where they got them. Place these along the paths, around the rink, and through the larger terrain. Finish it off with a weather system from Flora. Hope this helps.
