I've been working on a custom distribution of OpenSim and wanted to share it with the community.

If you run a standalone region, a mini-grid, or a region where the majority of your traffic comes from Hypergrid visitors, or if you spend most of your own time HG traveling, this project might be of interest to you.

Maximillion Kleene

—usually known simply as Max Kleene—is a Canadian live musician who has been active as a resident in Second Life since September 13, 2006. His current Second Life profile links to his YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as his schedule and song list.
He is primarily described as an acoustic guitarist and singer with a relaxed, entertaining performance style. An older directory of Second Life live musicians lists him as being from the Niagara Falls region of Canada and cites rock, pop, and alternative rock as his genres.
According to his frequently published artist biography, his musical journey began with formal piano studies at the Royal Conservatory. Later, his focus shifted significantly toward the guitar. AC/DC became a major musical influence; other artists cited include Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Jason Mraz.
His repertoire encompasses classic rock and pop covers as well as more recent tracks. Older sources mention artists such as Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jack Johnson, Green Day, and Foo Fighters.

Max Kleene is a long-established virtual live musician—focusing on acoustic guitar, rock/pop, and covers—who performs in both Second Life and OpenSim environments. His strength lies less in being a spectacular "showman" persona and more in the combination of his voice, guitar playing, humor, repertoire, and personal rapport with the audience.

And yes, humanity has actually had virtual guitarists playing for avatars in pixelated clubs for twenty years now. It is somewhat absurd. Yet, in a way, it is also quite beautiful. 🎸

I get these constantly and i got annoyed so i figured out a fix. This happens when firestorm can't fetch get_grid_info url for a grid. It's not the grid list in preferences, it's landmarks, groups, and maybe friends. Anyway the default toast is "OKCANCEL" and i changed it to "OKIGNORE". this way the user still has preference and and option to disable or enable the warnings.

in this example i'm using ENGLISH so you have to pick the language you use. Or change all of them, which might be work for nothing if you only use one language.

edit as Administrator: C:\Program Files\FirestormOS-Releasex64\skins\default\xui\en\notifications.xml

(note "en" directory is for english, the other languages are there. also change the path depending on your installation)

find "CantAddGrid" in the file. Change the usetemplate to OKIGNORE like this:

note: there is a bracket before usetemplate - osw can't display b/c of html escape i suppose

restart firestorm. the next time you get that warning there's a checkbox to ignore future warnings, if you check it and hit ok you won't see those anymore.

Name change to my name on Funny-Rides as its the only place with regions now I rent off a grid seemed natural to put the name used there. NW has closed which was Blackmarsh some friends left and I find I on my own all the time and those there just not interested in forming a friendship. So I decided this was best for me at Funny-Rides its more friendlier there and safe running huge grid. Besides the fishing contest is better there than on NW hehe....

I have signed up yet again for an Opensimvvorld account just to announce that the Paha Sapa Role Play Group are searching for nevv members; I myself am a member of this special group and I've been there for a fevv years novv. Anyvvay the people vvho are in charge of our roleplay dedicate themselves to making sure that it is as authentic as is possible. The time period is the VVild VVest in the 1870's. It is very fun to engage in role play in this special group. Don't take my vvord for it though - Paha Sapa can be found in and on the VVolf Territories Grid in Opensim; please find or make the time to see and learn all about it for yourselves!
